The Seomjingang Riverside Cherry Blossom Festival will be held in Jukma-ri, Muncheok-myeon, Gurye-si. Visitors can enjoy walking along Seongjingang River decorated with lines of cherry blossom trees. Various events will be held such as traditional drum performances, a paragliding contest, and face painting. * Festival period is subject to change according to the blooming season. Seoul Gift Show is held to promote and enhance the market of gifts and gift-related products as an international trading exhibition. It will be held in COEX in Samseong-dong for four consecutive days.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Gimhae-si)

Jinyeong area of Gimhae has a perfect climate and natural environment to cultivate sweet persimmons. The annual average temperature is 14℃ and the mountains around the area protect the town from sea breezes and typhoons. With skilled farmers having over 80 years of persimmon cultivation experience, Jinyeong is one of the most famous regions for persimmons in Korea. The Jinyeong Sweet Persimmon Festival is held every October to celebrate a year of good harvest.

Gyeongsangbuk-do(Seongju-gun)

Seongju Life Culture Festival will be held every year with the theme of “birth, life, and death.” Various cultural events will be held including reenacting the parade to bury the king’s umbilical cord, a traditional funeral, ancestral ceremonies, and more. Being the most famous city for the oriental melon in Korea, the festival will also showcase oriental melons, and a many dishes that use the fruit. Visitors can also try out gamju (sweet rice wine), the specialty of Seongju City.


Chungcheongnam-do(Geumsan-gun)

Known for beautiful mountains and crystal-clear waters, the area of Geumsan, Chungcheongnam-do, is the venue for the Geumgang Yeoul Festival held around July each year. The festival name was previously “Geumgang Folk Festival” but changed into its current title in 2013. With 'water' as the main theme, this is the perfect summer festival in an enjoyable vacation spot offering various water games, crop-harvesting, nature ecological experience, and more. In addition, visitors can watch Geumsan’s unique traditional performances, Geumsan Mulpegi Nongyo (물페기 농요; nongyo; farmer’s song) and Nongbau Ggeusigi (농바우끄시기; ritual for rain), designated as Intangible Cultural Asset No. 16 and 32 in Chungcheongnam-do respectively. Auto-camping is available near the festival venue in Sutong-ri, and Yonghwa-ri, making this a suitable summer getaway.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Yeongdeok-gun)

Yeongdeok Sunrise Festival is an annual overnight event that begins on New Year's Eve. This year, the festival is set to take place at Yeongdeok Samsa Marine Park under the theme of "Bell of Hope, Light of Life." Moreover, there will be various New Year's celebrations featuring a music concert sponsored by Taegu Broadcasting Corporation (TBC), sunrise watching, and diverse hands-on experience programs.


Gyeonggi-do(Yangpyeong-gun) , Yangpyeong

Yangpyung Festival Yangpyung Yongmunsan wild plants Festival will be held with the theme of crystal clear water. The wild Plants from Yongmunsan Mountain that used to be served in the meal for kings will boast its taste and flavors that surely captures the eyes of visitors. The dark clear green of Youngmunsan Moutain is also a great sight not to be missed. Chungcheongbuk-do(Cheongju-si)

The Jikji text (full name 'Buljo Jikji Simche Yojeol") is the world's oldest metal-printed book, being printed in 1377 at Cheongju's Heungdeoksa Temple, and as such, was included on the UNESCO Memory of the World Register in 2001. In order to spread the knowledge of Jikji around the world, the city of Cheongju has dedicated great efforts over the past years to host festivals and a memorial event for the awarding ceremony. With the support of the government, the two events were combined in 2016 as a single international event, named JIKJI Korea. With the theme "Jikji, Enlightening the World," various events and exhibitions will allow visitors to learn more about the value of this great acheivement within the exciting festival atmosphere.


Jeollanam-do(Suncheon-si)

Nakan Folk Village is comprised of 200 thatched houses with residents who do farming for their living. The village remains the way it looked back in Joseon Dynasty and was designated as a historical site No. 302. The Nakan Folk Festival is a representative festival in the village, where traditional and contemporary meet. The festival includes buchae-chum (dance with a fan), gukak performance, royal guard changing ceremonies, an historical impersonation of Im Gyeong-eop (a prominent Korean general during the Joseon Dynasty), and many other activities that one can feel the life of the olden days.
