Incheon Art Platform is located in Haean-dong of Incheon known for its well-preserved architectural heritage sites and buildings that display both ancient and modern architecture. The complex was established through remodeling buildings constructed in the 1930s and 1940s, and by revamping such landmark buildings as Nippon Yusen Kaisah (Cultural Property No. 248) from the days when Korea first opened its doors to the outside world. The 13 buildings, including studios, library, training center, exhibition and performance halls, that make up Art Platform are expected to develop into a huge street museum in the future, thereby preserving the historical establishments, while displaying the modern interpretation of the past.       As the Incheon Port was opened in 1883, this is where one could feel the rich history and culture accumulated over 126 years. Formerly used by the Japanese consulate, the Jung-gu Office, the Incheon branch of Japan's 1st, 18th and 58th Bank and other modern historical architecture can be found intact here. Also, it keeps the historical trace like Former Japan Mail and Shipping Inc., Incheon Art Platform, Jemulpo Gurakbu, and others for visitors to see and listen at the Incheon Gaehangjang (Open Port Area).         Jemulpo Club was established in 1901 to be used as the venue for foreigners such as American, English, German, French, Russian and a small minority of Chinese and Japanese all living in Incheon to build up friendships before opening the port. The two-story brick building was comprised of a library room, pool table, tennis court and others facilities. The site was used as Incheon Museum from 1953 to 1990 and Incheon Cultural Center from 1990 to 2006. In 2007, the name was changed to Jemulpo Gurakbu. It now offers a site for experiencing modern culture interactions.         Jayu Park, or park of Freedom, has held its name ever since October 3, 1957 when a statue of General McArthur, who led the Incheon Amphibious Landing Operation during the Korean War, was erected at the summit of Mt. Eungbongsan. The park offers spectacular views of downtown Incheon and its surrounding mountains, the port, and the sea. The first western style park in Korea. During April, cherry trees are in full bloom. The Port of Incheon and Wolmido may be seen from the peak of Jayu Park.   3.  Incheon Chinatown + Free lunch time       Korea's modernization started in Incheon, the biggest port on the country's west coast. Let's visit Incheon Open Port Trail. Pai-loo is a traditional Chinese gate that is set up at the entrance of towns. There are three pai-loos in the Town.  Incheon's Chinatown came into being with the opening of Incheon Port in 1883 and Incheon's designation as an extraterritoriality of the Ching Dynasty in the following year. In the past, the area held many stores trading goods imported from China, but currently most Chinese businesses in the area are restaurants. Today, the residents of Chinatown are mostly 2nd or 3rd generation Chinese, descendents of the early Chinese settlers. The area harbors many of the flavors of China, while the traditional culture of the first generation are preserved.       Let’s take jajangmyeon, if you feel hungry. All restaurants in the Town prepare their own jajangmyeon: home-made sauce noodle; vegetables and bean noodle without meat; white noodle; dry noodle; and more. It might be a big reward to take jajangmyeon at a place where its history began.   4. Songwol-dong Fairy Tale Village       The opening of the Incheon Port in 1883 led to the start of many foreigners coming into the area for settlement. Soon, it became a rich village and many young people gradually moved out, leaving the village in a state of stagnant. As such, a renovation project was brought upon to improve development of the village by painting and decorating classic fairy tales all around.  Songwoldong Donghwa Village is literally “donghwa,” a fairy-tales town. The whole town is full of themes from fairy-tales. A big rainbow-board reads “Songwoldong Donghwa Village” welcomes visitors at the entrance. Take the left-side alley, where the village begins. Numerous main characters in fairy tales are waiting you in murals, sculptures, and photo zones. While walking through the village recalling the titles, main characters, and story-lines, visitors are fascinated by the village.   5. Hanmi Bookstore Connecting past and present, people and culture / Baedari Bookstall Street For the town name, Baedari, some say it originated from a fact that the village is where ships are brought. Others say it came from a bridge in the town that brought boats. Anyway since the opening of a harbor at Jemulpo beach in 1883, people gathered to form a town, Baedari. *Kim Shin visits this book shop frequently and it is aslo the place where Samshin (Birth Grandmother, played by Lee El) warned him about Ji Eun Tak’s fate (Episode 9).         6. Songhyeon Park Situated in Songhyeon, which houses Inchoen's first tap water facility, this park has a water playground, artificial waterfall, pond, inline skating rink and more. During the warmer season, there are lots of beautiful flowers along the paths that make for the perfect photo.          *Episode 2 Where Kim Eun Tak meets Grim Reaper for the second time, after 9years.   7. 18:20 : Drop off at Hongdae Station Exit 3. 18:50  Drop off at Hongdae Station Exit 3. ★ Precautions ※ If you cannot board on that day, no refund will be given. ※ It is difficult to give another seat for 1 person. Seoul(Jongno-gu) , Seoul City Hall・Gwanghwamun

On August 1st, 2009, the redesigned Gwanghwamun Square opened to the public. With the inauguration of the square, Sejong-ro, located at the center of the 600-year-old historic city of Seoul, was transformed into a human-centered space that harmonizes with the beautiful scenery of Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukaksan Mountain. The close to 20,000m2 Gwanghwamun Square is located at the center of Sejong-ro which connects Gwanghwamun Gate and Cheonggye Square. The square is divided into the sections, “Recovering the History of Gwanghwamun Gate Plaza,” “Reenacting Yukjo Street Plaza,” “Korea Main Plaza,” “Civil Participation Urban Culture Plaza,” “Downtown Plaza” and “Cheonggyecheon Stream Connector.” The “Recovering the History of Gwanghwamun Gate Plaza” section is at the entrance of the plaza, where a stone base called Woldae and a statue of Haetae, a mythical unicorn-lion that is said to protect palaces from fire, have been restored. Near Sejong-ro Park is “Reenacting Yukjo Street Plaza” where Yukjo Street, the main street of old Seoul (Formally known as Hanyang) was recreated. On the side is also a miniature depiction of Yukjo Street. The Statue of King Sejong the Great has been relocated in the “Korea Main Plaza” where Hangeul, the Korean alphabet, is projected on a fountain water screen. Between the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts and the Statue of Admiral Yi Sun-Shin is the “Civil Participation Urban Culture Plaza” with a range of attractions and services including accommodation facilities for visitors, exhibition halls, elevators, a meeting plaza, and art galleries. “Downtown Plaza,” located near the Statue of Admiral Yi Sun-Shin, symbolizes Sejong-ro. The Square has water facilities such as a pond and pop-jet fountains. The “Cheonggyecheon Stream Connector” functions as a connecting walking path between Cheonggyecheon Stream and Gyeongbokgung Palace. In addition, there is the “Memorial Waterway”, flowing underground water, which goes from both Gyeongbokgung and Gwanghwamun subway stations to Cheonggyecheon Stream. Plus, behind the Statue of Admiral Yi Sun-Shin is “Sunken Square” which connects Gwanghwamun subway station and the ground allowing people to access the Square more easily. Two statues of Admiral Yi Sun-Shin and Sejong the Great, who are great and influential people in Korean history, are situated at Gwanghwamun Square where the beatification ceremony will take place. Visitors can see “Waterways of History” and “King Sejong Story” exhibitions, the latter of which highlights the achievements of King Sejong and history of Hangeul.

Built in 1395, Gyeongbokgung Palace is also commonly referred to as the Northern Palace because its location is furthest north when compared to the neighboring palaces of Changdeokgung (Eastern Palace) and Gyeongheegung (Western Palace) Palace. Gyeongbokgung Palace is arguably the most beautiful, and remains the largest of all five palaces. The premises were once destroyed by fire during the Imjinwaeran War (Japanese Invasion, 1592-1598). However, all of the palace buildings were later restored under the leadership of Heungseondaewongun during the reign of King Gojong (1852-1919).Remarkably, the most representative edifices of the Joseon Dynasty, Gyeonghoe-ru Pavilion and Hyangwonjeong Pond, have remained relatively intact. Woldae and the sculptures of Geunjeongjeon (The Royal Audience Chamber) represent past sculptures of contemporary art.The National Palace Museum of Korea is located south of Heungnyemun Gate, and the National Folk Museum is located on the eastern side within Hyangwonjeong.A new street called taegeukgi-gil (literally "Korean flag street") has been developed on one of Hyoja-dong's streets, where a total of 240 flags were be flown along the street near Gyeongbokgung Palace. A similar street can be found in front of Cheongwadae (the Blue House, or presidential residence). The street was created in 2015 to mark the nation’s 70th anniversary of victory over Japan, which liberated Korea from Japanese occupation. The display of the taegeukgi was put up on March 1 in remembrance of the March 1st Movement, also known as the Sam-il Movement, one of the earliest public displays of Korean resistance during the Japanese occupation of Korea. The flags will be taken down at the end of the year.* Tickets for Gyeongbokgung Palace are also valid at the National Palace Museum and the National Folk Museum.

Seoul Tower opened to the public on October 15, 1980 and has since become a major tourist attraction. The 236.7m tower sits atop Namsan Mountain (243m). The observatory offers panoramic views of Seoul and the surrounding areas. Thirty years and countless visitors later, the structure was renamed ‘N Seoul Tower.’ The letter ‘N’ stands for the tower’s ‘new’ look, which resulted from a 15 billion won remodeling project in December 2005. With the new lighting system and changes to the tower’s overall color scheme, event coordinators can now decorate the tower for the season or events. Visitors are encouraged to try the N Grill, Western-style revolving restaurant (one rotation every 48 minutes) and the Sky Restroom (an artfully decorated space). The Garden of Morning Calm, a 30,000㎡ garden, is open year-round and is a great spot to visit for families, couples, and photographers alike. The garden was conceptualized by Professor Han Sang-kyung (Gardening Department, Sahmyook University) while he was serving as an exchange professor in America. His vision was to create a garden that would become world-famous and spread the concept of Korean beauty throughout the world. The inspiration for the garden stemmed from a poem written by Sir Tagore, a great Indian poet, who described Korea during the Joseon Dynasty as "The Land of the Morning Calm." The garden is the oldest private garden in Korea. It is an artistic space with a beautiful balance between the Korean concept of natural curves with asymmetry, and plants with synthetic materials, attracting about 600,000 visitors annually. Scenic walkways, beautifully manicured grass, and flower beds connect the garden's 20 different themed sections. The Sukgeun Garden is shaped like the Korean Peninsula and is carpeted with beautiful flowers on both sides representing the desire for South and North Korea to be reunited. It is easily one of the most popular and meaningful attractions at the garden. The garden houses about 5,000 kinds of plants, including 300 varieties native to Baekdusan Mountain, known as a spiritual mountain to the Korean people. Flowers are in bloom from March to November, so the garden is usually busy during this period. In addition to the beautiful foliage of the garden, there are a variety of festivals and displays held throughout the year. * Spring: Spring Garden Festival * Summer: Festival of Roses, Hydrangeas and Roses of Sharon * Autumn: Festival of Chrysanthemums and Autumnal Tints * Winter: Lighting Festival

The chief of Ganghwa County, Jeong Gi-se, enlarged the original residence and named it Yongheunggung (meaning palace of the rising dragon) in the 4th year of King Cheoljong’s reign. Its architectural features include a paljak (Korean traditional half-hipped roof) and supporting columns rendered in Jusimpo style, the column brackets placed only on top of the columns. The palace was built in the tradition of dwelling houses such as the Yeongyeongdang and Nakseonjae houses in Changdeokgung Palace, so the palace buildings give off a simple and plain atmosphere. Within the precincts of the palace are a memorial stone and a monument house indicating that the palace used to be the old home of King Cheoljong. *Goryeogung Palace Site : Goryeogung Palace Site on Ganghwado Island is the site of the royal palace where the people of the Goryeo Dynasty (918-1392) resisted the Mongolian invasion for 39 years. In the 19th year of his reign, King Gojong moved the capital to Ganghwa on account of its natural and strategic advantages. During the Byeongjahoran (Chinese invasion of Korea) in 1637, the palace was lost by force to the Qing dynasty of China. Later, Joseon Dynasty palace building and Ganghwa Yusubu (Ganghwa governor’s office) buildings existed in the Goryeo palace site but were destroyed by the French army during the Byeonginyangyo (French Campaign against Korea). Nowadays, the only structures that remain are the Dongheon main office (built in 1638) and Ibangcheong administration office (built in 1654). The palace and its subsidiary buildings were restored in 1977. It has historical lessons of the spirit of independence and overcoming national crisis.   6. 14:00~14:30 Café house: 1 free drink (coffee, beverage)       With sweet desserts and enough caffeine to clear one’s head, cafés are a must!
