Gahwadang is a cosy tea house converted from a private home. Tea is served with refreshments. All around the interior, there are nice pictures to enjoy, making this a nice, peaceful place to have a cup of tea. ​

Jilsiru is a modern cafe serving a panoply of traditional snacks. Customers may enjoy the wide variety of tteok (rice cake), hangwa (Korean traditional sweets & cookies), and traditional organic beverages at this cafe with a sophisicated interior.

Near both Myeong-dong Station and Euljiro 1(il)-ga Station, Myeong-dong Gomkuksizib has been cooking the best noodle dishes in town for more than 40 years. Ever since its opened in 1976, the restaurant has continued the tradition of serving delicious Guksu-jeongol and Gomkuksi to its royal clientel. Charbroiled premium hanu Korean beef is another famous dish popular among the neigberhood’s office workers. After a recent relocation, Gomkuksizib added grilled Wagyu to the menu for a midler taste in order to appeal to the growing number of foreign visitors.

This bar-restaurant serves traditional Korean rice wines produced by the brewer Kooksoondang. Menu items include luxurious rice wine (or ale) and makgeolli cocktails, served with traditional Korean seasonal sides as well as a variety of fusion dishes. ​

“Pro Ganjang Gejang” is a restaurant serving soy sauce marinated crab (ganjang gejang). This restaurant opened in 1980 as the first ganjang gejang restaurant in Korea. Since its opening in Sinsa-dong, it has grown in popularity not only among Koreans, but also among foreign visitors. It opened branches in Samseong-dong in Seoul, Haeundae in Busan, and in Tokyo and Osaka in Japan.

Isaac Toast(이삭토스트), is a toast chain based in South Korea. As of 2016, the chain had over 1,000 retail stores in South Korea.   The menu at Isaac Toast is simple: eight sandwiches, three salads, and a small selection of juices, coffee and other drinks. The menu’s real boon comes in its prices; the original Isaac Toast registers at a mere $2.55 and the most expensive item comes in under $6. The small Korean eatery can boast of its affordability to its college clientele.

A fusion café that serves traditional Korean desserts and snacks, including Patjuk (sweet red ben porridge) ‣ Patjuk, Korea’s major winter snack, and Patbingsu (ice flakes topped with sweet red bean), Korea’s major summer snack, are served along with a variety of rice cakes ‣ The café makes thick, finely strained red bean porridge every morning, and rice balls made with glutinous rice powder.  ⁍ Health benefits of red bean: Saponin in red bean has a diuretic effect and helps break down fat and lose weight.  ⁍ The Patjuk is topped with braised chestnuts and dried, shredded dates for flavor.  ⁍ Popular menu items: Four-season Bingsu (Bam-Daechu Patbingsu) and Sujeonggwa (Cinnamon Punch) ‣ All desserts are served in brassware, which has excellent heat conductivity and a sterilizing effect. ​
