Chungcheongnam-do(Cheonan-si)

Cheonan’s Sangnok Resort possesses a diverse entertainment facility, offering a Leisure Town with Sangnok Hotel, a convention center, Sangnok Land, and golf course. Sangnok’s featured attraction is Aquapia, known as a “Water World", or "Water Paradise”. If you take a look around the indoor water-park, Aquapia, there is a variety of fun awaiting each guest: a tidal wave pool with 5 different types of waves; 'The Flowrider', a ride that simulates the thrill of surfing on ocean waters; 'Master Blaster', a ride that takes two riders up at a time, up and down through the water’s heavy pressure; 2 new slides; and 3 types of spas used as resting areas.


Gyeonggi-do(Yangju-si) , Namyangju

Ilyeong Herbland (일영허브랜드) boasts picturesque scenery, combining both natural and man-made beauty with herbal gardens resting on a wide outdoor field. An herbal botanical garden; an herbal shop; a well-being corner; a restaurant; an outdoor garden; and a walking path are built across an area of 1.7 ha. Visitors can buy herbal plants such as white sweet marjoram, stevia, salad burnet, borage, sweet basil, lemongrass, chive, Italian parsley, parsley, chervil, and can also have various herbal teas and boiled rice with herbal flowers and assorted mixtures.


Gangwon-do(Yangyang-gun)

Located in the Eastern part of Taebaeksan mountain range, Micheongol Recreational Forest is known for its rich forest where the natural ecology is well preserved. In secluded areas, thick stands of trees rise, and clean valleys have been undisturbed by human activity, providing breathtaking scenery. The forest is also home to Seollimwonji, a cultural asset of the Silla period (BC57~AD935), the Bulbaragi mineral springs, and a honeybee yard. While offering an experience in both culture and nature, one can tour Micheongol on foot or while riding a mountain bike. As accommodations in the forest offer only bedding, visitors must make sure to bring toilet articles, cooking utensils, and tableware. Prices range between 30,000 and 50,000 won. To get there, take a bus for Yangyang at the Dong Seoul Bus Terminal. In Yangyang, take a local bus for Galcheon and get off at the entrance to Micheongol. Walk up about 2 kilometers and you will see the entrance to Micheongol Recreational Forest.


Daegu(Dong-gu)

Located at the foot of Palgongsan Mountain, Blue Moon is a great place to enjoy authentic steaks and fusion dishes. Take a stroll in the nearby park and watch the water fountain next to the walking trail. The restaurant has four floors, each with a different atmosphere.


Gangwon-do(Goseong-gun)

Bongsudae Beach is located north of Sampo Beach and the white-sand coastline stretches along the side of National Road No.7. The campsite for motor homes attracts many motor-tourists. Since the beach was not accessible to the public before 1997, it is still rather new and clean, and many visitors comment on its cleanliness upon their first impression. Sampo Koresco Resort is located along the seashore, and visitors can easily enjoy the 800-meter stretch of pristine beach at Bongsudae.

Gangwon-do(Yanggu-gun)

First opened in June 2004, Yanggu Eco-Botanical Garden was built on a total area of 189,141㎡. 3.1 billion Korean won (approximately 3 million USD) was spent on the construction and it was built to be developed into a South and North Korean ecosystem restoration center. Located in the northernmost region of South Korea, it houses more than 400 rare plants including plants that are Korean native species and protected by Korean Ministry of Environment. The garden is divided into six parts by their features including Botanical garden, Natural forest, and facilities zone. In the Botanical garden, rare plants such as northern native plants and alpine plants that are naturally grown in the demilitarized zone (DMZ) and Yanggu area are displayed in one place. There are also walking trails, a medicinal plants exhibition hall, a plant nursery, and a greenhouse. Gyeongsangnam-do(Goseong-gun)

Goseong Dinosaur Museum (고성 공룡박물관), located in Sangjogam (상족암) County Park, is Korea’s first dinosaur museum. It was built next to one of the world’s largest dinosaur footprint fossil sites and opened to the public on 9 November 2004. Located in the center of the beautiful Sangjogam area, the museum is a tourist attraction that showcases both major dinosaur footprints as well as breathtaking scenery. The four-story building offers five exhibition halls and other special-purpose rooms such as an A/V room.


Jeollanam-do(Haenam-gun)

Jeonju Sikdang is a noted restaurant for Haenam folk cuisine. It was designated by the Korean Traditional Culture Preservation Society after getting many awards, such as special culinary award, and others. The main items on the menu are pyogo-jeongol (mushroom hot pot) and sanchae-jeongsik (set menu with seasoned wild vegetables). The pyogo-jeongol's ingredients are all prepared in house using organic shitake mushrooms, beef, Manila clams, and other seafood and vegetables, giving it a clean and rich taste. The theme of the restaurant, “Enjoying natural dishes in the mountains,” fits perfectly with the taste of their pyogo (mushroom), which carries a excellent taste without the addition of any artificial seasoning. To taste more of the menu, try their dongdongju (traditional Korean liquor), one of their famous items.
