Jeollanam-do(Yeongam-gun)

Yeonhee Hanok Pension is a hanok accommodation located in Gunseo-myeon, which is surrounded by Wolchulsan National Park like a folding screen. Waking up to the sound of birds chirping, appreciating the sunset in the evening on toenmaru (veranda), and watching the Milky Way on the night sky are special perks that you can enjoy in Yeongam Yeonhee Hanok Pension. There is a total of five guest rooms that boast the beauty of traditional hanok architecture. The ondol studio room where two guests can stay comes with a self-contained kitchen where guests can cook. Although it does not offer much space, it has a bathroom inside the studio for greater convenience. The guest rooms are neat and clean inside. An independent unit that is separate from other guest rooms is large enough for six guests. It has a living room, a bed room, and a bathroom. Like other guest rooms, there is an indoor kitchen, but it is segregated. It was deliberately designed in this way so the smell of food does not get into the living area. Grilling must be done in the outdoor barbecue area. In front of the guest rooms, there sit a green front lawn and a garden. which create a picturesque view together with the hanok house. You can also stay with your pet through a prior consultation with the host. Nearby are Wolchulsan National Park, Dogapsa Temple in Wolchulsan Mountain, Wang In Historic Site, Wolchulsan Gichan Land, Gichanmoet-gil Trail, and Seongyang Reservoir. The accommodation serves as a perfect starting point to explore nearby tourist sites.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Andong-si)

Pungsongjae is a hanok accommodation located in New Hanok Village of Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Government Complex in Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do. The owner built the hanok house using Korean red pine from Bonghwa-gun to highlight the beauty of hanok architecture. You can really feel a master craftsmanship in every part of the house, including the double eaves, lofty gate and pillars. Designed with the beauty of traditional hanok architecture in mind, the accommodation also provides convenience with private bathrooms inside the guest rooms. As the hanok house was newly built in 2018, all facilities are clean and pleasant. A wide-open grass lawn greets guests past the front gate, revealing a sightly scene of hanok architecture and a pine grove in the background. As soon as you step inside, you will feel like you are traveling back in time to the Joseon dynasty. There are three guest rooms available at Pungsongjae. Pungsil and Sarangbang are ideal for two people, but the accommodation accepts bookings for a family of four or less. Songsil is a cute little room that is ideal for couples. Pungsil is equipped with an induction stove, a microwave, a rice cooker, an electric kettle and tableware, so the guest can cook inside the room. Cooking is not allowed inside Songsil and Sarangbang. The most noticeable place in Pungsongjae is the quaint attic-like numaru space. The name Pungsongjae was inspired by the space as a house with a spectacular view of a lush pine grove. When you lie down, you can enjoy a picturesque view of the pine grove outside. Pungsongjae is 10 minutes from Hahoe Village, and 15 minutes from Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy.


Seoul(Jongno-gu) , Insadong・Jongnon

Roomin Bukchon is a hanok accommodation located in a residential area near Bukchon Hanok Village in Gahoe-dong, Seoul. Entering the front gate of the guesthouse, guests are greeted by a hanok house with a small garden in the middle of the front yard and a hanok-style front porch (toenmaru). As Roomin Bukchon is located in a residential area, it is a perfect place for travelers looking for a quiet place to stay and tourists who want to experience life in hanok. Guests can enjoy the entire building to themselves, including the kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom. The 20-square-meter room is cozy enough for two guests. The guesthouse has a self-contained kitchen fully equipped with a Balmuda toaster, an induction stove, kitchenware, basic seasonings, tableware, wine glasses, a refrigerator, and a microwave. There is also a bathroom where guests can shower, and a bedroom installed with a beam projector. Everything in the guesthouse is well thought out for the guests’ convenience. The high-quality mattress and bedding show how much the host cares about the guest experience. Heated eye masks and earplugs are available for deep sleep. Amenities from an aroma therapy brand, a Bluetooth speaker, and drip coffee bags from a popular brand are also provided. Saranggadeuk is a traditional hanok built in 1900, which was renovated as a guesthouse. You can enjoy the elegance and beauty of hanok from the veranda, rafter, and eaves. Saranggadeuk has an L-shaped structure offering a total of six ondol style guest rooms including Cherry, Lily, Pomegranate, Magnolia, Azalea and Rose rooms. The guest rooms are relatively spacious and decorated with cypress pieces, which creates a delicate woody scent. The standard number of guests for all guest rooms are two. The guest rooms have slightly different sizes and interior designs. For couples, the Cherry and Rose rooms would be comfortable. For group travelers, the Azalea room offers a large space. Each guest room has a bathroom where you can shower comfortably. The bedding provided in the guest rooms is Korean-style premium bedding that is kept clean and fresh. Although there are no cooking facilities inside the guest rooms, there is a water purifier, a microwave, and coffee and tea on the veranda in front of the guest rooms that anyone can use. The guesthouse provides breakfast including fresh toasts, seasonal fruits, and coffee. You can freely use the breakfast table prepared in the common veranda during the breakfast hours. In the large yard, there is a garden decorated with a small pond and pine trees. The view from the veranda is quite stunning. Saranggadeuk is located inside Jeonju Hanok Village. Jeollabuk-do(Imsil-gun)

Chwirakwon is a hanok stay program in Pilbong Culture Village offered by the Association for Preservation of Pilbong Farmer's Music of Imsil. In Chwirakwon, there are rooms for two, three, five, and group guests. There is a total of 11 guest rooms. Although it is a hanok house, each room has an en suite bathroom with shower facilities for greater convenience. There is a total of three guest rooms for two people. These guest rooms are studios and do not come with a kitchen. There are two four-guest rooms. The Naedeurimbang room has a bathroom as well as a self-contained kitchen where you can cook. In comparison, the Sachaebang room does not have a kitchen. There are two five-guest rooms. The Ochaebang room has two rooms while the Yukchaebang room is a studio without a kitchen. There are three eight-guest rooms, which have slightly different interior designs. Woenangsori is a separate hanok house that has two bed rooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. The Chilchaebang room has two rooms and the Dadeuraegibang room has three rooms. Both rooms have kitchens where you can cook. The Anchaebang room, which is the largest private hanok house in Chwirakwon is large enough to accommodate 13 guests. It has two bathrooms, two bed rooms, an attic, and a self-contained kitchen fully equipped with kitchen appliances. All of the guest rooms have basic amenities such as a refrigerator, an electric kettle, and a hair dryer. In addition, you can dine at restaurants in Pilbong Culture Village with prior reservation. The guesthouse also rents barbecue grills. Pilbong Culture Village is full of things to see and enjoy. There are Pilbong Cultural Center, Pilbong Small Library, Daedonggwan (an indoor performance stage), Gutsandae (an outdoor performance stage), Pungryumadang, and Hanokmadang. Perforamces of Pilbong farmer's music of Imsil is held here every Thursday to Saturday. You can also relax in Good Cafe and Jeongja Yeoyujeong. Tourist spots near the guesthouse that are worth a visit include Okjeongho Lake, and Hoemunsan Recreational Forest.


Jeollabuk-do(Jeonju-si)

Seoro is a traditional hanok guesthouse located inside Jeonju Hanok Village. The hanok, which was built with pine trees and red clay with great care, is so well kept that the surfaces shine like mirrors. Located in the middle of Jeonju Hanok Village, it is a convenient place to explore other places from. It is quite large in comparison to other hanok guesthouses. Main building and another main building that is separate from the other two are nestled inside the walls. There is a total of ten ondol rooms at Seoro. There is a total of seven adorable guest rooms for two where couples can stay. The guest rooms have a mini refrigerator, a television, and a private bathroom. Each room has a small veranda and changhoji -covered windows, which allows you to enjoy the unique atmosphere of hanok. Among the guest rooms, the Freedom and Truth rooms have unique a double-story structure with staircases. Rather than the standard double-story structure, it feels like you are going up to an attic, so the rooms are quite popular. Anchae has a living room and two bed rooms. Cooking inside the guesthouse is also possible as it has a refrigerator, an induction stove, and cooking utensils. Anchae also has an attic space that is connected with a stairway, and a bathroom with a bathtub. There is also a massage chair that will relieve fatigue from the travel. You can spend a lovely time exploring little corners of the front lawn, or admiring the view of hanok on the veranda. Seoro is located in the middle of Jeonju Hanok Village. Jeondong Cathedral, Gyeonggijeon Shrine, Omokdae and Imokdae Historic Sites, and Jeonjuhyanggyo Local Confucian School are right around the corner. Jaman Mural Village, Pungnammun Gate, and Hanbyeokdang Pavilion are also within short walking distances.
