Deokcheonseowon Confucian Academy, called “Yucheonsa,” was originally built in front of Gusan Village in Dugil-ri, Seolcheon-myeon in 1919. The confucian academy was moved to the Inam Village in Socheon-ri, Seolcheon-myeon in 1982, and was finally moved to its current site and renamed "Deokcheonseowon." Within the building is a shrine called Deokcheonsa, which has memorial stones that have been carefully placed inside.

Access

From Seoul Nambu Terminal, take an intercity bus bound for Gucheon-dong Bus Stop.
Exit the bus stop to the left toward the intersection, and cross Deongnyugyo Bridge (덕유교) and walk to the left until you see a bus stop on your right in Muju Gucheong-dong Special Tourist Zone. (135m away from the Gucheon-dong Bus Stop)
Take a local bus bound for Seolcheon and get off at Sindu Bus Stop. (7 bus stops)
Walk toward Rajetongmun Samgeori (three-way intersection) and cross Seolcheongyo Bridge.
Continue walking along Rajeongmun-ro until you arrive at Inam 3-gil on your right.
