The 4th Tunnel was discovered on March 3, 1990. It is located 1,200m from the Military Demarcation Line in the demilitarized zone of South Korea. This is the only tunnel to be discovered that provides full access to tour groups. Educational instruction is given in the square outside the tunnel.

Take an intercity bus bound for Yanggu from Dong Seoul Bus Terminal (Gangbyeon Station (Seoul Subway Line 2)) (Total travel time: approx. 2 hours)
1. From Yanggu Bus Terminal, take a city bus bound for Haeanmaeul Village (해안마을) and get off at Haeanmaeul Village (해안마을) (Total travel time: approx. 1 hour).
- Walk 15 min to the North Korea Hall of the Ministry of Unification.

2. Taxi takes 45 min from Yanggu Bus Terminal to the North Korea Hall.
