Saranggadeuk is a traditional hanok built in 1900, which was renovated as a guesthouse. You can enjoy the elegance and beauty of hanok from the veranda, rafter, and eaves. Saranggadeuk has an L-shaped structure offering a total of six ondol style guest rooms including Cherry, Lily, Pomegranate, Magnolia, Azalea and Rose rooms. The guest rooms are relatively spacious and decorated with cypress pieces, which creates a delicate woody scent. The standard number of guests for all guest rooms are two. The guest rooms have slightly different sizes and interior designs. For couples, the Cherry and Rose rooms would be comfortable. For group travelers, the Azalea room offers a large space. Each guest room has a bathroom where you can shower comfortably. The bedding provided in the guest rooms is Korean-style premium bedding that is kept clean and fresh. Although there are no cooking facilities inside the guest rooms, there is a water purifier, a microwave, and coffee and tea on the veranda in front of the guest rooms that anyone can use. The guesthouse provides breakfast including fresh toasts, seasonal fruits, and coffee. You can freely use the breakfast table prepared in the common veranda during the breakfast hours. In the large yard, there is a garden decorated with a small pond and pine trees. The view from the veranda is quite stunning. Saranggadeuk is located inside Jeonju Hanok Village. It is convenient to explore the nearby Jeondong Cathedral, Gyeonggijeon Shrine, Choi Myeong Hee Literary Museum, Jaman Mural Village, Jeonju Woodblock Calligraphy Gallery, and Wanpanbon Cultural Center.
