For security, the link is valid for only 5 minutes. If it has expired, simply request a new one from "Resend authentication email".

It says my nickname is already taken

That nickname is already in use by someone else. Please try a different one — it can be 4-20 characters in any language.

What are the password requirements?

Your password should be 8-20 characters combining letters and numbers. Adding special characters makes it even more secure.
