Located in Jung-gu, Seoul, Namsangol Hanok Village will be hosting the 'Moonlight Fire Show, Daeboreum' event on February 22, 2016 from 17:00 to 19:00. Burning daljip, cracking bureom, and other seasonal customs related to Jeongwol Daeboreom will be offered for participants to enjoy.

Jungdong Culture Festival brings an autumn ambience to Jeongdong-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul. The festival is a main event in Seoul, and connects traditional Korea to the present.During the festival, the traditional craft center will host performances and exhibits in the Jeongdong-gil, the heart of the downtown area.

The Ulsan Onggi Festival offers a fun array of hands-on programs which let visitors learn about how to craft pottery. The National Onggi Craft Contest during the festival is a wildly popular event attracting many visitors. The festival also hosts exciting exhibitions and performances including traditional performances, Traditional Tightrope Walking, and a concert. Its main venue is decorated with elegant pottery sculptures, offering a great backdrop for visitors to take pictures.


Jeju-do(Seogwipo-si) , Seogwipo

Seogwipo-si is home to warm winter at the southernmost point of Jeju Island and holds the Seogwipo Penguin Swimming Festival to welcome each new year.The festival aims to ring in the new year through boot camp activities making it an unusual festival that people really enjoy.Jungmun Beach, one of the most popular beaches on Jeju Island, is the festival venue and there will be various programs and exciting activities.


Gangwon-do(Chuncheon-si)

Mulle-gil Festival is set to take place around the Uiamho Lake area and Songam-dong Sports Town in Chuncheon, the lakeside city of Gangwon Province. This year’s festival is divided into several categories including the Experience Zone, Camping Zone, Exhibition Zone, and Performance Zone. At the Performance Zone you may enjoy a wide variety of concerts and performing arts while the Mulle-gil Experience Zone features not only the canoe experience program, but also a variety of fun canoe contests like a Canoe Marathon, Family Slalom Contest (a hurdle dodging race), the 1-Person Freestyle Competition, and Family Luggage-carrying Race.


Busan(Haeundae-gu) , Haeundae

G-Star 2012 is a global game exhibition taking place from November 8th through 11th at BEXCO in Busan. It is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism (MCST) of Korea together with the Busan Municipal City, and aims to improve the domestic game industry and introduce new gaming trends and the latest technologies. This year, 434 companies from 31 countries (the largest scale to date) will participate in the event under the theme of ‘Game, Touching the World’ Along with the game exhibition, there will be various programs including a business consulting session, recruitment fair, networking party, seminars and talks, game zone, Korea-China Game Culture Festival and so on. Admission is 6,000 won for adults and 3,000 won for children. Tickets are available online (Interpark) and at the door.


Gyeongsangnam-do(Gimhae-si)

Ulsan has produced iron for 2,000 years stretching back through the Samhan Dynasty and then the Joseon Dynasty (1392~1910). In the 1960’s it began it’s rise as the major iron industrial center of Korea. The region’s traditional iron culture is the theme of this festival. Activities include a traditional folk game called ‘Soeburi (a game played by making iron)’, Pungmul (folk music) performances, and learning programs.


Gyeonggi-do(Yangpyeong-gun)

Sponsored by Yangpyeong-gun Office, the Mulmalgeun Yangpyeong Icefish Festival takes place in Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do each winter. Visitors can eat warm fish cakes and roasted chestnuts at the festival. Aside from ice fishing, other traditional winter games and activities such as kite-flying, top spinning, sledding and jjinbbang-making (steamed bun with red bean filling) will be available.During lunch, tteokguk (sliced rice cake soup), bingeohoe muchim (seasoned raw smelt salad) and bingeo twigim (deep-fried smelt) are available at the Women's Society of Soomy Land. DDP Citizen’s Festival will be held to improve Dongdaemun’s image and activate the regional economy as a representative festival of Dongdaemun area. The festival includes a ceremony for a public ambassador, performances, exhibitions, hands-on programs, street art performances, an international food event, and many other programs. Visitors of all ages are welcome to take part in this open festival. The festival aims to build DDP’s own identification as the top place regarding design and creative knowledge.
