Sponsored by Yangpyeong-gun Office, the Mulmalgeun Yangpyeong Icefish Festival takes place in Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do each winter. Visitors can eat warm fish cakes and roasted chestnuts at the festival. Aside from ice fishing, other traditional winter games and activities such as kite-flying, top spinning, sledding and jjinbbang-making (steamed bun with red bean filling) will be available.During lunch, tteokguk (sliced rice cake soup), bingeohoe muchim (seasoned raw smelt salad) and bingeo twigim (deep-fried smelt) are available at the Women's Society of Soomy Land. Gyeongsangbuk-do(Gyeongju-si)


Gyeonggi-do(Paju-si) , Paju(Heyri Art valley)

The theme of this festival is ‘soybeans’, a health food that has long been popular in Korea. In particular, the ‘Jangdan Soybeans’ produced in the Paju province have always been highly regarded for their taste and outstanding nutritional value and were even served to the king. Furthermore, in the early 20th Century, the 'Jangdan Soybeans’ were designated as the most superior soybeans in Korea and were distributed throughout the country.During the festival visitors can taste the soybeans and learn how to make dishes made from soybeans including tteok (rice cakes), tofu, and preserved soybeans.


Gyeongsangbuk-do(Cheongdo-gun)

Cheongdo Seedless Persimmon Festival is held in October at an outdoor stage in Cheongdo-gun. ‘Bansi’ (seedless persimmon) features an astringent taste with a flat-shape, unlike the long-shape of gotgam (a peeled persimmon that is dried in the sun through natural drafts) spreading through Sangju and Yeongdong. Cheongdo Bansi is tender, high in sugar and easy to eat and process as it has no seeds. Thus, Cheongdo hosts the Cheongdo Bansi (Seedless persimmon) Festival to promote their specialty product.


Gangwon-do(Goseong-gun)

Every June, the areas around Eocheon-ri in Goseong-gun are covered with the purple lavender fields. During this season, many local and international visitors attend the annual Goseong Lavender Festival. This year, the festival will have a variety of programs, from exhibitions to performances.Some of these include a lavender photo exhibit and a photo contest at the farm and the village, as well as a photo gallery and a classical music concert, to name a few. The lucky draw event is something that should not be missed.

Located in the area of Doduhang Port, Jeju Dodu Oraemul Festival is the sole festival in the area, the theme of which is one of Jeju’s regional resources, “yongcheonsu" (spring water), also known as “dodu oraemul." The festival provides unique hands-on programs available only in Dodu-dong, as well as delicious food to enjoy and other entertaining activities for tourists and residents.


Chungcheongbuk-do(Goesan-gun)

The Goesan Red Pepper Festival is held during harvest season to promote the excellence of peppers grown in Goesan, a major production area of Korea. The festival has numerous programs, including pepper-picking and fish-catching contest (using the bare hands), pepper recipe competition, pepper cooking contest, and garden pepper planting. Brightly colored and full of flavor, Korean peppers are a particularly popular agricultural product. This is a fun festival where visitors can taste or buy Korean peppers, and talk with farmers. Yeoncheon DMZ International Music Festival is an international music festival, held in the Yeoncheon area bordering on the truce line. It tries to introduce a new paradigm of international music festival, reminding concert-goers of the DMZ’s meaning to Korea, the sole divided country, and finding a way to peace through music.
