Gyeongjeong Beach is famous for its serene and clean water with gentle waves. It is also used as an aqua farm for growing such marine products as sea cucumbers, abalones and sea squirts. The beach side road is a perfect driving course with the view of the horizon.

Opened in 2007, the Bongsusan Mountain Natural Recreation Forest offers a variety of forest recreation facilities. The area is home to various wild birds. The forest also offers various hiking trails, which take between one and three hours to complete. The slopes are relatively gentle. Various rest and forest bathing sites are setup throughout the forest. The Yedang Reservoir is nearby, which is the nation’s top fishing ground. Also in the area is the Hyeongje (Brother) Park, Daeheung Dongheon, Daeryeonsa Temple, Imjonseong Fortress, Deoksan Hot Spring, Sudeoksa Temple, Chunguisa Temple, the residence of Chusa Kim Jung-hee, and the Korea Traditional Architecture Museum.

Damyangho Lake is an enormous man-made lake that has a 46 meter high embankment and extends over 316 meters, holding 66.7 million tons of water. It is amidst the picturesque view of Mt. Chuwolsan and Mt. Geumseongsan, and its crystal clear water is the habitat of many different fish species including pond smelt, catfish, snakehead, carp and leather carp. With Damyangho Lake at the center, the area is surrounded by the Mt. Chuwolsan Tourism Area, Gamagol Youth Camping Grounds and the Geumseong Mountain Fortress. The mountain’s lakeside road, which passes through a tunnel at the mid-section of the mountain, is a popular scenic driving road.

Yukbaekmajigi refers to the peak of Cheongoksan Mountain on the southern side of Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do. The large field is the size of six soccer fields and is 1,256 meters above sea level. The name comes from the saying that the field is large enough to spread 600 mal (Korean unit of measure) of rice seeds. Yukbaekmajigi is easy to reach by car and is becoming a popular eco-friendly tourist attraction. The view from the peak includes an open view of 20 large wind power generators on the vast field. There are also various photo zones for visitors. 

* Geumgang Estuary Bank, a harmonic blend of the artificial and the natural * This estuary bank was completed in 1990 as part of an agricultural development project for 6 cities and counties in Chungcheongnam-do and Jeollabuk-do. The Korea Agricultural and Rural Infrastructure Corporation invested approximately 100 billion won for the project and the construction lasted for 8 years. The estuary bank can  hold up to 130 million tons of water. The 1,840-meter long bank serves a bridge that connects Chungcheongnam-do to Jeollabuk-do.Aside from being the source of water for agricultural and industrial use in Jeollabuk-do and Chungcheongnam-do, the bank also provides flood control for the area around Geumgang River. It helps keep Gunsanhang Port operational by preventing soil and sand from accumulating at the mouth of the river. It also prevents the backwash of seawater from causing damage to farmlands. Geumgang Estuary Bank has an important role as a tourist destination by connecting Gunsan and Janghang. * Plenty of attractions to see and enjoy* Geumgang Estuary Bank flows throughout many beautiful sites in Chungcheong-do. The estuary is now well-known as a bird sanctuary where the reeds and the natural habitat attract migratory birds, mallard ducks, swans, and globally rare species such as oystercatchers and Saunders's Gull during winter. An observatory was also built so people can enjoy bird watching at the estuary.Around the Geumgang Estuary Bank vicinity, nearby tourist attractions include the nation's biggest year-round sledding slope, a riverside amusement park, and the Geumgang Computer Game World equipped with about 80 kinds of computer games, making the area famous among kids and teens.

Gangwon-do Forestry Museum, located within the Gangwon-do Provincial Flower Garden, is the nation's first space dedicated to forests. It serves as a cultural space for people to draw nearer to nature, as well as creates new forest culture spaces. Divided into four exhibition rooms, visitors can see research tools and methods used by foresters. In January 2004, a brand new 4D experience video room was opened, giving a message on the importance of the forest and environment on our lives. * Opened October 31, 2002

Selected by CNN as one of the 50 beautiful places to visit in South Korea, Seryangji Reservoir offers amazing scenery not to be missed. The best time to visit is during spring when the cherry blossoms bloom along the lakeside. The reservoir on misty mornings and when the waters mirror the cherry blossoms are the most popular views. The site is especially popular among photographers.

Located in both Seungju-eup and Songgwang-myeon of Suncheon-si, Jeollanam-do, Jogyesan Mountain (조계산, 884.3m) has two famous Buddhist temples on it, Seonamsa Temple and Songgwangsa Temple. This is a relatively low mountain with rounded corners and a soft tranquility. Around Seonamsa Temple you’ll find several peaks such as Wolchulbong Peak, Janggunbong Peak and Gitdaebong Peak as well as the Ilweolseok boulder. This area is always crowded with visitors all year round due to the famous temples of Songgwangsa Temple and Seonamsa Temple. There are hikers as well coming purely to walk up Jogyesan Mountain which has gentle paths with short hills and flat paths, making it great even a picnic.

Surrounded by high mountains and cliffs, Wangpicheon Valley and the neighboring area have been kept unscathed for a long time. The area is now designated as Ecosystem Conservation Zone by Environmental Office, to protect the rare wild life flora and fauna.

The Sanmaki Yetgil (Old Road) is a 4-kilometer long old path connecting Saorang Village (located in Waesa-ri, Chilseong-myeon, Goesan-gun Chungcheongbuk-do Province) to the mountain village Sanmaki. Restored by retracing the old path, Sanmaki Yetgil is a great walking trail passing by mountains, streams, and forests. Most of the path is paved with wooden deck in the eco-friendly method to minimize damages to the environment and to maintain the natural look. The surrounding beauty is recognized as the best scenic view of Goesan. The natural ecosystem around Goesan Dam has been preserved in its original state.
