By charging relatively low loyalties and guaranteeing completely independent management, the hotel chain has set itself apart in the hospitality industry. The hotel chain itself is a non-profit corporation that is a union of independent hotels seeking quality management. The Best Western Premier Kukdo (opened on March 1, 2007) was the first Best Western in Korea. Since then, the Best Western chain has expanded to include 15 different facilities (a total of 1,900 guestrooms) located all around the country. Best Western Premier Kukdo offers subsidiary facilities such as a fusion restaurant, sky lounge, fitness center, and business center. Each of the 296 guestrooms has a bidet and high speed internet. Double rooms have a shower booth, while twin rooms have a bathtub. From the sky lounge (21F) guests can get a great view of Bukhansan Mountain, Cheongwadae, Dongdaemun shopping center, and Myeongdong, not to mention a bird’s-eye view of Seoul nightscape. The hotel also offers VIP rooms that can accommodate up to 20 people and a number of other conveniences that makes this an ideal choice for those traveling for business. Myeongdong and Dongdaemun are only a 10-20 minutes away on foot.

Hanok 1957 is a traditional hanok house repaired and renovated into a guesthouse. The guesthouse boasts the beauty of traditional hanok built with red pine, red clay and straw walls topped with roof tiles. Hanok 1957 has a U-shaped layout that is comprised of nine sections including a main hall (Anchae) and separate quarters (Haengrangchae). There is a total of five guest rooms. All of the rooms are ondol type rooms with a standard guest number of two to three. However, up to four guests can stay in Daemunchae, three guests in Geonneobang, six guests in Sarangbang and six guests in Anbang. Inside the guest rooms, you can feel the beauty of the traditional architecture from the rafters, beams and cabinets inlaid with mother-of-pearl. Each guest room has a private bathroom inside for greater convenience. Although it is not possible to cook inside the guest rooms, the common kitchen is equipped with kitchen appliances such as a refrigerator, a water purifier, a microwave and cooking utensils. The guesthouse is also very accessible as it is located in the city. Seomun Market Station is a 12-minute walk and Daegu Station is a 16-minute walk from the guesthouse. Since it is a guesthouse, the room rates are also very affordable. Nearby attractions include Gyesan Catholic Cathedral, Dalseong Park, Seomun Market, Daegu World Cup Stadium, and Donghwasa Temple. Other popular places include Kim Kwangseok Street, Gukchaebosang Memorial Park, and Duryu Park.

All of the 13 guest rooms at Another Beach come with a stunning ocean view. The rooms also have a private balcony where you can step outside on. It has recently undergone remodeling, so the indoor facilities are clean and the bedding is as clean as what is provided by hotels. The rooms are divided into six types, including Suite Royal Ondol, Suite Ondol, Deluxe, Suite Bed, Suite Two-Story Ondol, and Suit Two-Story Bed. The interior design is slightly differently depending on the room type (e.g. whether the room comes with a bed or has a two-story structure). According to the room size, they are divided into two types, couple room for two people and family room for four people. All of the rooms have a studio structure with a bathroom and a self-contained kitchen each. The rooms are fully equipped with refrigerators, kitchen appliances, electronic rice cookers, microwaves, electric stoves, and so on. Most of all, Another Beach offers a range of guest facilities. Only one meter away from the pension is a private beach that can only be accessed by the pension guests. You can also use the rubber boots, hoe, and basket available in the pension to catch clam and conch. On one side of the front lawn, there is an outdoor swimming pool and a barbecue area. They are right in front of the sea, and have the atmosphere of a tropical holiday destination. There are indoor and outdoor inflatable bounce houses and trampolines for kids to play. The pension also rents out baby cars, pool table, table soccer game, board games and bicycles. There is also a convenience store inside the pension. Tourist attractions near the pension include Mageompo Beach, which is only a one-minute walk way, Anmyeondo Jurassic Museum, a museum themed on dinosaurs that is three minutes away by car, and Light Festival Site decorated with two million LED lights. You can also enjoy fresh seafood from Anmyeondo Island at Baeksajanghang Port which is 10 minutes from the pension by car.
