Gurye Sansuyu Festival
 
Jeollanam-do(Gurye-gun)
Gurye Sansuyu Festival is an annual spring flower festival that takes place in the Jirisan Mountain hot springs area. Major programs include cornus fruit liquor making and cornus fruit makgeolli tasting, while other programs include traditional music and dance performances and fireworks displays.

Jinju Namgang Yudeung
 
Gyeongsangnam-do(Jinju-si)
Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival originates from the lantern lighting custom used during the Jinjuseong Fortress Battle of the Imjinwaeran War (Japanese invasion, 1592) as a military strategy to prevent Japanese troops from wading the Namgang River. The highlights of the festival are the floating of lanterns carrying personal wishes of the citizens along the Namgang River, and the parade of lanterns created by the students themselves. In addition, the festival features gaejesik (lighting of lanterns in remembrance of the Jinjuseong Fortress Battle veterans), an exhibition of the world’s traditional lanterns, and many more participatory cultural programs.

Muju WTF World Taekwondo Championships

For 7 days in June, National Taekwondowon in Muju, Jeollabuk-do brings competitors from over 170 countries to compete in Muju WTF World Taekwondo Championships. Visitors can watch non-stop competitions from 16 weight divisions (eight each for men and women), and also enjoy various taekwondo performances and many other events.

The garden, which organizes this festival annually, exhibits about 150 kinds of rose of Sharon, the nation's largest rose display of its kind, and also has Hibiscus Hill to remind visitors the meaning of the rose of Sharon. Taebaeksan Mountain Snow Festival

Chungju World Martial Arts Festival

This festival showcases all of the world’s martial arts forms, as well as Korea’s traditional martial arts. This festival opens with the theme 'World's Martial Arts and Culture', showcasing demonstrations of Taekkyeon, Taekwondo, and Hapkido by Korea’s traditional martial arts groups. Martial artists from 16 nations have been invited to the festival, and will be taking part in demonstrations and performances. Programs have been prepared for non-Korean speakers and visitors will get a chance to try out many of the martial arts on display.

Seoul Rose Festival (서울장미축제)

The festival takes place every May in the area of Jungnang-gu where thousands of roses blossom to form a 5.15km-long rose tunnel. The festival will have thematic events with a story about pottery makers throwing clay on the potter’s wheel.Mungyeong also features Mangdaengi, the oldest kiln in Korea. The festival aims to retain its identity as the top place for traditional ceramics and also spread its reputation across the country as the birthplace of tea culture.The festival aims to improve the regional culture and make Mungyeong a traditional Korean cultural brand as well as strengthen the bond of the local community.The world class cultural brand attracts international and domestic visitors experiencing the traditions of Korea.

Ansan Street Arts Festival

Ansan Street Arts Festival, Korea’s largest street arts festival, will be held at Ansan Culture Square in Ansan. This festival is considered one of the top ten festivals held in Gyeonggi-do as well as a representative festival of Ansan-si, featuring various street performances. Invited performances from local and overseas, individual performers and other performances are prepared as well as other special programs.
