Travelling from Hakdong Pebble Beach to Hammok Beach, one can glimpse the quaint village of Dojangpo Maeul. This quiet fishing village is comprised of charming little houses as well as a small ferry port.
The strong ocean winds can be felt from the top of the hill overlooking Dojangpo Maeul. This hill is referred to by locals as “The Hill of Wind” or “Mangneungjandi Park,” but has yet to take on an official name. This spot is one of Geojedo’s best kept secrets. The green grass spreading across the hillside is spotted with wild flowers in the springtime and has a dreamy quality to it. Little goats can even be seen taking a rest along parts of this picturesque hillside.
Visitors can sit on one of the benches overlooking the magnificent vistas. “Hoejeon-mongma” (meaning Carrousel in English) is just one of the many television shows that has been filmed here. Even though this spot has attracted many fans of TV shows shot here, it is still considered one of the hidden treasures on the island of Geojedo. The spring weather of April through June is the perfect time to pack a picnic lunch and enjoy this scenic hillside.

Access
1. Seoul → Geojedo Island
- From Seoul Nambu Terminal, take Jangseungpo or Gohyeon bound express bus.
* Jangseungpo arrival: first bus 10:10 / last bus 18:00 / midnight bus 23:00 / 2 hrs interval / 5 hrs and 30 min ride
* Gohyeon arrival: first bus 9:00 / last bus 16:00 / midnight bus 22:30 / 2 hrs interval / 4 hrs - 4 hrs and 50 min ride
2. Busan Station, Gimhae International Airport
- Move to Busan Ferry Terminal and take Jangseungpo, Gohyeon, or Okpo bound ferry.
* Jangseungpo arrival: first ride 8:00 / last ride 17:30 / 1 or 2 hrs interval / 45 min ride
* Gohyeon arrival: first ride 8:30 / last ride 17:45 / 2 hrs interval / 1 hour and 15 min ride
* Okpo arrival: first ride 9:00 / last ride 17:00 / 2 hrs interval / 45 min ride
3. Busan Seobu Intercity Bus Terminal → Geojedo Island
- Take Jangseungpo or Gohyeon bound intercity bus there.

4. Sacheon → Geojedo Island
- From the airport, take a limousine bus to Geojedo Island.
