The 2nd Tunnel, which was made by North Koreans to invade South Korea, was discovered on March 24th, 1975. This tunnel is 3.5km long and sits 50~160 meters below the surface. It can accommodate up to thirty thousand people and is large enough for tanks to pass through. Now the 2nd Tunnel is under the control of the Cheorwon-gun Office. Every year hundreds of thousands of people visit this unique tourist destination.

[Bus]
From Dong Seoul Bus Terminal, take an intercity bus to Dongsong-eup or Sincheorwon.
(Bus schedule: 06:30-21:00, 20-30 min intervals / Travel time: about 2hr 20min) 

- From Dongsong-eup, take a city bus bound for Sintan-ri and get off at Sintan-ri Bus Stop. (Bus schedule: 20 min interval / Travel time: about 30-min). The bus passes through the Cheorwon Korean Workers' Party Headquarters and Baengma Hill.
- From Sincheorwon, take Dongsong-eup bound bus and get off at Dongsong-eup Station (Bus schedule: 20 min interval / Travel time: about 30-min). Then, move as above.
