Hello Kitty Island is a special exhibition hall, themed around Hello Kitty, beloved by many people all over the world. Visitors can enjoy the many various exhibits, comprised of a gift shop, Kitty History Hall, Art Education Hall, Music Education Hall, Art Gallery, World Gallery Hall, Trip around the World Gallery Hall, Constellation Education Hall, Planned Gallery, Hello Kitty Café, 3D Theater, Outdoor Modeling Gallery, and more. At Hello Kitty Café, hot coffee is served along with sweet deserts.

Duryunsan Mountain (703m) is a famous mountain in Jeolanam-do. With its eight peaks, it is a home to many temples and historic sites. The mountain also holds great importance in plant chorology as its forests consist of warm-temperate broad-leaved evergreens and deciduous broad-leaved trees. The mountain peak can be reached by trekking for about 2-3 hours from the entrance of Daeheungsa Temple or by the Daeryunsan Cable Car (one way 8-minute), which departs from the entrance on the opposite side of the mountain and takes visitors to a spot right below the peak. From the mountain summit, there is a view of the three sides of Dadohae (Sea of Many Islands) and on a clear day, it is possible to see as far as Mt. Hallasan on Jeju Island. Nearby tourist attractions include Uhangri Dinosaur Museum Complex, Usuyeong Tourism Village and Ttangkkeut Village.

As King Gyeong-deok in 757 (16 years after ruling at the age of unified Silla) altered the administrative division system into Chinese style so as to strengthen the local power 'Ju', 'Gun', and 'Hyeon', which are hanja (Chinese characters). Since then, 'Byeokgol' was renamed as 'Gimje', which refers to golden field and thus the station name 'Gimje Station'.    

Songnisan Mountain Maltijae, Songnisan Mountain gateway is a steep, zigzagging uphill path located 8km from Chungbuk Boeun in the direction of Songnisan. During the Joseon Dynasty (1392~1910) while Sejo King was climbing Songnisan Mountain he mounted a horse (mal) because of the mountain’s steep gradient, thus giving the mountain its name. Located here, Songnisan Maltijae Recreational Forest (속리산 말티재 자연휴양림) is harmoniously mingled with Jangjae reservoir creating a beautiful scene. It is a good place to experience nature.For its main facilities there are promenades, mountain paths, Water Parks, public kitchens, and for its lodging facilities there are Forest Cabins divided into 16 villages. Daeyoo Land opened in 1978 as a hunting ground and shooting range and recently opened an ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle) track. Situated on 817 acres of land, Daeyoo Land includes a pistol range, rifle ranges, clay pigeon shooting, and an ATV track. It’s a great place to break away from your everyday life and enjoy the freedom of playing in the great outdoors. The Butterfly Ecology Hall in the Namhae Butterfly Park is a large, butterfly-shaped architecture. It consists of Exhibition Halls No. 1/No. 2, the Butterfly Greenhouse, Experience Learning Center, and Sample Exhibition Hall. In addition, there is a Butterfly Breeding Room and a Botanical House outside providing visitors with an opportunity to get family together with a variety of butterflies and insects.

On the bus from Gyeongju to Bonggil-ri, the sight of the vast blue sea spread before your eyes will leave you breathless. As you gaze at the glittering blue sea, a small but particularly beautiful islet catches your eye. This little rocky islet is the Underwater Tomb of King Munmu (661-681 A.D.), who unified the three kingdoms and became the 30th ruler of the Silla Kingdom. The king gave specific instructions to be buried in the East Sea after his death so that he would become a dragon and protect Silla from Japanese intruders. The rocky island, about 200m in circumference, is divided by a cross-shaped waterway, forming a pool at the center, at the bottom of which is a granite 3.6 meters long, 2.9 meters wide and 0.9 meters thick. Legend has it that the remains of King Munmu’s cremated body are buried under this rock. Historians still debate whether the ashes of the King Munmu were scattered or stored in an urn and placed under the granite. The beauty of the landscape of the underwater tomb reaches its peak in autumn.

The Uijeongbu Arts Center (의정부 예술의전당) is a multipurpose cultural space that maintains a large theater, a small theater, an international conference hall, and an exhibition hall. The large theater is a spacious performance hall that can support 300 on-stage performers and accommodate an audience of 1,057 persons. The theater has a multifunctional, three-dimensional, moving stage and state-of-the-art stage-lighting and sound facilities, making it a suitable venue for all genres, including orchestras, plays, dance performances, operas, and musicals. Despite its size, the small theater’s lighting and sound facilities match those of the large theater, and the facility can easily support a wide array of lively performances, including plays, chamber music, recitals, choral concerts, and other types of concerts, as well as experimental works. The exhibition hall is comprised of a large, round exhibition hall and two general exhibition halls, and its facilities are able to support any type of exhibition, irrespective of the field or size, such as drawings, calligraphy, sculptures, crafts, or photography. At the international conference hall, various symposiums, workshops, and academic seminars can be easily held, maintaining 109 seats for conference attendees, 68 seats for audience members, simultaneous interpretation facilities for up to five languages, and an audio-video control room. 

The Museum of Natural Dye Arts is divided into two floors. Ahwon Gallery on the first floor showcases replicas of ancient dyeing tools and provides information on the natural dyeing process. The ‘relic hall’ on the second floor displays pieces of ancient artwork including fabric, clothes, pillows, blankets and accessories, all made using different methods such as dyeing, embroidery, quilting, knotting and sewing. Group visitors of 10 or more may try dyeing handkerchiefs, scarves, or t-shirts through the museum's hands-on experience programs.

Janghohang Port is just 25km from downtown Samcheok. The port is famous for its round beach line and white sand shore and is known as the “Naples of Korea.” From the beach, Janghohang Port offers excellent views of unique rock formations in the sea. Being that it is a port town, it is a rich provider of seafood such as abalone, seaweed and sea cucumber. It is also known as an excellent place for recreational fishing.Janghohang Port provides many opportunities for a diverse array of activities. Visitors have the option to hop on a real fishing boat and join the crew for some deep sea fishing, where fresh catches can be filleted on the spot. The port also provides tours of sea farms and the chance to cast off with a cuttlefish angling boat at night in hopes of catching squid.
