Daegaya History Theme Park is located in what was the center of the Daegaya Kingdom. The park offers various areas to learn about not only the history of the area, but also the current culture and the future of Goryeong. In particular, visitors can enjoy various items produced during the Daegaya era such as pottery, ironworks, and the gayageum, as well as visit at 4D theater and walk along the forest exploration trail.

Jinha Beach is located 242km southeast of Ulsan and is a little slice of summer paradise measuring 1km in length and 300m in x_width. Like most beaches along Namhae (the South Sea) the waters of Jinha are shallow, warm, and calm, making it a perfect place to go swimming. The deep scent of the surrounding pine trees mixes with the ocean sea breeze and gives the beach an intimate atmosphere despite its relatively large size. Camping is allowed in the pine woods and is free of charge. Simple shower booths and changing rooms are available for the convenience of the visitors. You may also enjoy freshwater river bathing as the water from Hoiyagagn River from Munsusan Mt. flows into the beach area. Near the beach is Ideokdo Island, which consists of two mid-ocean rocks, and Myeongseungdo Island, which can be reached on foot. The latter, in particular, is popular for its beautiful sunset and is famous as a great fishing spot for Dorimi, flatfish, and Ureog. Around 10km away is Ganjeolgot Lighthouse, which is in operation 24/7.

The rail bike in Jeongseon Auraji is a new type of leisure sport that combines biking along a railway and scenic views. Rail bikes are commonly found in the mountainous regions of Europe. The sport makes use of an abandoned railway track that runs from Jeongseon Auraji to Gujeol-ri. The total track is 7.2 kilometers long and is a continuous descent that is easy to ride along clean valley waters and crimson red foliage.There are 2-person (110 kilograms) and 4-person rail bikes (138 kilograms). Despite its large size, a rail bike runs quite smoothly so it is sufficient for one person to pedal a 4-person rail bike at speeds of 10 to 30 kilometers per hour.At the boarding area in Gujeol-ri Station, there is a café named ‘A Grasshopper’s Dream.’ Housed in a train, the café is the shape of a grasshopper. The rail bike starts in Gujeol-ri station and ends in Auraji Station. Ride at a slow speed of 15kph to enjoy the surrounding scenery. Yulpo Nokchatang, located at Yulpo Beach, is Boseong’s only green tea bathhouse. Seawater and green tea have been combined to create a unique spa experience that has many health benefits. Yulpo Nokchatang is fast becoming one of the most popular destinations on the southern coast, as it provides leisure facilities that overlook both pine tree forests and the ocean in one glance.Green tea, in particular, is known to help with high blood pressure, arterial sclerosis, eliminates bad breath, prevents cavities, removes dead skin, and is also said to be effective in hair treatment. Furthermore, bathing in the seawater is said to be beneficial for gastroenteric disorders, diseases common in women, skin irritations, obesity, and arthritis.

Sejong Lake Park is a large scale man-made park and is one of the major tourism destinations in Sejong-si. The park has a walking path, an island, a stage on the water, and other facilities. In particular, Sehogyo Bridge and a stage on the water are the most well-known. On weekends, the area is packed with visitors in order to relax and enjoy performances, festivals and cultural events. The National Library of Korea, Sejong and Bangchukcheon Stream, with its musical fountain, are also nearby.

Located in Gongju-si, Chungcheongnam-do, Seokjangni Museum introduces extensive relics from paleolithic era. The museum was established in September 2006, for continuous preservation of the stone age culture. There are a variety of educational and technical programs available for visitors to learn more on the exhibition on excavated relics and the paleolithic age culture. Also, a series of hands-on activities are open for anyone who is interested in the ancient culture, and is provided by the museum, including permanent exhibitions, planned exhibitions and outdoor exhibitions. Overall, visitors can understand the history better through the exhibition halls, prehistoric park, and Gonju Seokjangni paleolithic site.    

Gosapo Beach commands a magnificent scenic view, thanks to the songnim (pine forest) planted along the beach as a windbreaker. During the summer season, visitors can set up their tents among the pine trees and look out onto the beach from their tents. Less well-known than Byeonsan Beach, Gosapo Beach offers a more quiet summer vacation. The cookhouse, bathhouse, and restrooms are clean and bright. For three days before or after the 1st and the 15th day in the lunar calendar, the sea seems to part, creating a path from Gosapo Beach to Haseom Island. Here, visitors can experience a natural phenomenon similar to the “Moses Miracle.”

Chunjangdae Beach (춘장대해수욕장) in Seo-myeon, Seocheon-gun, Chungcheongnam-do is a smooth, calm beach with 2km-long, 200m-wide sand beaches. This beach is surrounded by thick acacia and pine groves. Unlike ordinary beaches on the West Sea, this beach is very picturesque. Enjoying the company of nearby tourist attractions such as the Busa Sea Wall, Hongwon Port, the Camellia Grove in Maryang-ri and the Geumgang Riverbank Tourist Spot, Chunjangdae Beach is popular as a summer vacation destination. At low tide, visitors can catch shellfish and flatfish in the tidal plain or even walk across to nearby islands. During the busy season, the Chunjangdae Vacation Train is temporarily available. Come to Chunjangdae Beach from Seoul via train to view the breathtaking coastal scenery. A walk along the beach with the backdrop of a spectacular sunset is an unforgettable romantic experience.

Sindo Island is a 16.1 km-long (6.92㎢) piece of land situated 14km northwest of Incheon and 5km south of Ganghwado Island. Its highest point is Gubongsan Mountain (178.4 meters high). The name of the island, ‘Sindo’ (meaning ‘trust’ in Korean), came from the fact that the residents of the island are trustworthy and diligent. The island is also known as ‘Jinyeom’ (meaning ‘true salt’ in Korean) since the island is known for its high-quality salt.  Though relatively small in size, the island has a diversity of geographical features. Along the southwest coast is a large bay, while the northern and southern regions are more mountainous. Wide tidelands surround the entire island and provide a habitat for rare birds including the Chinese Egret and Black-tailed Gull, which also populate nearby Sido and Modo Islands.  Residents of Sindo make their living through farming and fishing. Goby and shellfish are caught off the coast and sweet grapes are grown in the fields. The villages of the island, such as Pyeongchon in the east, Gonam-ri in the southwest and Guroji in the southwest, serve as an important fishing points for locals.  From the peak of Gubongsan Mountain, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the islands of the Yellow Sea (including Yeongjongdo Island). Travelers to Sindo can also conveniently visitor neighboring Sido Island via the 579 meter-long Yeondogyo Bridge, constructed in 1992.
