Hwacheon Sancheoneo Ice Festival will be held for 23 days from January 6 until 28. 

With PyeongChang 2018 coming soon, Hwacheon-gun decided to add even more benefits for international tourists visiting the Sancheoneo Ice Festival. With Korea’s first duty-free shop inside the festival area, visitors can buy local specialties as well as festival and PyeongChang 2018 souvenirs all in one place. Moreover, various festival programs are ready for international visitors to enjoy. With exclusive ice fishing zone and cooking area for international visitors, you don’t have to wait in a long line to try the trout that you caught. And for the Olympic fans, there is a special experience zone prepared. You can test your skills with sports VR experience, or partake in events with PyeongChang 2018 mascots Soohorang and Bandabi. Also during the festival period, a direct bus from Seoul to the festival area is available for your convenience, departing from Hongik Univ. Station, Myeong-dong Station, and Dongdaemun History & Culture Park station.

Hwacheon Bus Terminal → festival grounds: From Hwacheon Bus Terminal Bus Stop, take bus No. 15 to Sin-Apartment Bus Stop. Cross the street and walk approx. 7 min. to festival grounds.
