Mulmalgeun Yangpyeong Icefish Festival

Sponsored by Yangpyeong-gun Office, the Mulmalgeun Yangpyeong Icefish Festival takes place in Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do each winter. Visitors can eat warm fish cakes and roasted chestnuts at the festival. Aside from ice fishing, other traditional winter games and activities such as kite-flying, top spinning, sledding and jjinbbang-making (steamed bun with red bean filling) will be available.During lunch, tteokguk (sliced rice cake soup), bingeohoe muchim (seasoned raw smelt salad) and bingeo twigim (deep-fried smelt) are available at the Women's Society of Soomy Land. One special trait of this festival is the offer of an all-inclusive experience package. Namsangol Hanok Village Daeboreum Event

Located in Jung-gu, Seoul, Namsangol Hanok Village will be hosting the 'Moonlight Fire Show, Daeboreum' event on February 22, 2016 from 17:00 to 19:00. Burning daljip, cracking bureom, and other seasonal customs related to Jeongwol Daeboreom will be offered for participants to enjoy.

Ulsan Soeburi Cultural Festival

Ulsan has produced iron for 2,000 years stretching back through the Samhan Dynasty and then the Joseon Dynasty (1392~1910). In the 1960’s it began it’s rise as the major iron industrial center of Korea. The region’s traditional iron culture is the theme of this festival. Activities include a traditional folk game called ‘Soeburi (a game played by making iron)’, Pungmul (folk music) performances, and learning programs.

DDP Citizen’s Festival

DDP Citizen’s Festival will be held to improve Dongdaemun’s image and activate the regional economy as a representative festival of Dongdaemun area. The festival includes a ceremony for a public ambassador, performances, exhibitions, hands-on programs, street art performances, an international food event, and many other programs. Visitors of all ages are welcome to take part in this open festival. The festival aims to build DDP’s own identification as the top place regarding design and creative knowledge.

Yangju Snow Festival

The Yangju Snow Festival will take place at Art Valley in Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do.During the festival, the venue will be filled with snow-white artworks as it also transform into a snow playground for the whole family to enjoy. 

Gyeonggi International Travel Mart

The Gyeonggi International Travel Mart is an annual travel and tourism expo.The Gyeonggi international Travel Mart is scheduled for every November at KINTEX in Goyang-si City. Over 40 global travel agencies as well as other organizations like the Gyeonggi International Medical Association and the Gyeonggi-do Province Office have been invited to present their products and services related to this every year's theme. Visitors can enjoy a travel product or service that is designed to provide the theme.

Hwaseong Haenggung Saturday Performance

Hwaseong Haenggung Saturday Performance will be scheduled for every Saturday between May and November to celebrate the construction of the Suwon Hwaseong Fortress. Visitors can watch traditional performances, palace dancing, mudong nori (Korean folk performances in which women ride on men’s shoulders and dance), and juftagi (rope-walking) and other events.

Goseong Lavender Festival

Every June, the areas around Eocheon-ri in Goseong-gun are covered with the purple lavender fields. During this season, many local and international visitors attend the annual Goseong Lavender Festival. This year, the festival will have a variety of programs, from exhibitions to performances.Some of these include a lavender photo exhibit and a photo contest at the farm and the village, as well as a photo gallery and a classical music concert, to name a few. The lucky draw event is something that should not be missed.
