Located east of Naksan Mountain at Sungin-dong, Jongno-gu in Seoul, Myogaksa Temple offers the urbanites a chance to experience Temple Stay. Since 2002, Myogaksa Temple has run its special Temple Stay program titled “Free from All Anxiety”, which sees a growing number of foreign participants every year. Moreover, you may also have a chance to experience Korean traditional culture as well as get to know Korean history better through interesting stories.

* Programs are designed for people who want to experience Korean Traditions and Buddhism.
* Regular programs include an orientation, making 108 prayer beads, bell-striking, the Buddhist ceremony, gongyang, meditation, early morning hiking, tea ceremony, dialogues with monks, etc.
* Special programs include experiencing Eight Holy Scenes from the Buddha's Life, making lotus lanterns, sutra, copying practice, and formal onastic meal
* English will be used in the programs, when there are many foreign participants.
* Towels, toothbrushes, comfortable footwear should be prepared by participants.
