The Ondal Open Film Set has been the scene of many popular Korean dramas, including Cheonchutaehu (천추태후), Taewangsasingi (태왕사신기), Kingdom of the Wind (바람의나라), Iljimae (일지매), and Yeongaesomun (연개소문). The set is located within the Ondal tourist site in Yeongchun-myeon, Danyang-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do. In addition to the famous sets themselves, clothes and props used during filming are on exhibit, and models of the drama’s protagonists are available for photos. Visitors are also pleased to experience the many other attractions in the area, including Ondal Cave, a theme park, Ondalsanseong Fortress, Ondalgwan museum, and well-known regional cuisine.

The Suncheon Bay Garden was established in order to turn 1.12 square kilometers of natural habitat into a conservation area, where it houses over 505 species of trees and 113 species of flowers. Especially, the numerous groups of tulips and royal azaleas are truly a sight to see. In addition, the nearby 30,000-square-meter field of canola flowers is in full bloom in May, which creates a beautiful yellow "wave" of color and trees make a great shades of canopy for the area. Getting there is fairly easy as buses and an unmanned shuttle train (PRT) opened along with the Suncheon Bay Garden and Suncheon Literature Center district (4.64 km) are available for service. Visitors can hop on the PRT and go to the literature center, then also ride the train along the 1.2-kilometer stretch of reeds to Mujingyo Bridge.

Charmsori Gramophone & Edison Science Museum founded by Son Seongmok is the largest gramophone museum in the world. It has a collection of 4,500 phonographs, 150,000 phonograph records, 1,000 books, and 5,000 items from 20 nations.1) World of Sound: The place for history of Sound. It displays gothic and renaissance organs, music boxes, radios and record players.2) World of Image: The place for silent films and biography films of masterminds and Edison. It displays Edison projectors and televisions, especially one made by Baird, John Logie (1888.8.13 ~ 1946.6.14) in 1925.3) World of Light: Displays items from Gas lamps to the original light bulb that Edison made, an electric generator of those days, the bamboo filament light bulb and the first wall-attached electric lamp. The wall-attached electric lamp is the part of the collection that was successfully accepted at Sotheby's auction in 1992.4) Edison Invention Hall: Displays 850 inventions of Edison's, including t three of his greatest inventions - phonographs, light bulbs and projectors. Seoul Science Park opened in July 2004 to function as a science education and training facility for students and teachers, as well as a cultural place for Seoul citizens. Admission to the park is free for all.

Jangboksan Park stands as the unofficial gateway to Jinhae at the end of Jangbok-ro Road between Masan and Jinhae. Built in 1979 in the wake of a mountain landslide, the park offers a wide-open view of Jinhae and its quiet waters. In the spring, more than ten thousand cherry trees interspersed throughout the pines come into full bloom, permeating the air with their sweet fragrance.Nearby attractions include Daegwangsa and Jinheungsa temples, the Citizens’ Hall, the Gyeongnam Literary Hall, and Jinhae Park Land, located halfway up Jangboksan Mountain. To visit these attractions and explore the beauty of the forest, simply follow the long walking trail from Jinhae Girls’ High School to the park (1.5km) and continue along the path from the Jangboksan Rest Area to Gumajin Tunnel (1km).

Sammok Quay is located in the north of Yeongjongdo (Unseo-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon). Boats typically operate between Sammok and other islands in its vicinity (Jangbongdo, Modo, Sindo, and Sido). Its name originates from Sammokdo, where the quay belonged. Sindo is an island near Sammok Quay. It is also called Jinyeom, which means true salt because salt is produced there. Visitors can enjoy the breath-taking view of Yeongjongdo and the West Sea from the peak of Mt. Gubong in Sindo. Two bridges connect Sindo, Sido, and Modo. Sido’s natural beauty is still preserved due to its isolation and has appeared in the Korean soap operas, “Full House” and “Winter Sonata,” attracting tourists increasingly. Around March 15 on the lunar calendar, the sea route between Modo and Hoedong-ri (Gogun-myeon) is said to open for two hours over the x_width of 18 meters. It is often considered the Mysterious Sea Route or Moses Miracle in Korea. Many tourists visit Modo around that time to witness the mystery of nature. Visitors can take a boat from Sindo to Jangbongdo, whose name originates from having many peaks and a long-shaped island. It boasts many coastal wonders. Surrounded by wide tidal land, these four islands are home to rare, precious birds such as Swinhoe’s Egret (Natural Monument No.360) and Black-Tailed Gull (Natural Monument No. 361). Famous local produce includes grapes, dried laver, shrimp, razor clams, and octopus. Modo got itself name after Chinese character ‘Tti’ meaning lines of fish nets because when fishing, no fish were caught hanging in Tti. The story of the Royal Investigator Lee Geon-chang came down from generation to generation with a monument. Trout fishing is formed around the island; mangdungeo, rockfish, conger eel and other are caught as well. Specialties includes grapes with high sugar content and wild oysters.

Located to the west of Sobaeksan National Park and Guinsa Temple, Ondal Tourist Park spans a vast area of 97,011 square meters. The attractions and facilities in the park include an area for folk games, a sports town, inns, local restaurants, local product stores, picnic grounds, Ondalchon village, Ondalgwan museum, House of Legends, and a traditional wedding hall. Also located within the park are the 450 million-year-old Ondal Cave (760 meters), and Ondalsanseong Fortress, the place that holds the legendary love story between General Ondal and Princess Pyeonggang. Opened on June 15, 2001 Jeju National Museum is a historical museum that displays, preserves and studies Jeju Island’s historical and cultural assets. Jeju National Museum houses various remains excavated from ruins, including meaningful relics from the prehistoric age through to the Joseon Dynasty. It boasts unique traditional culture and holds special exhibitions each year.

Created and maintained by the Korean Department of Justice, Solomon Law Park is a venue that provides an easy and fun learning experience regarding the laws and legal system of the nation for youth and adult citizens.The Legal Center offers a chance to become more familiar with the legal system of Korea and overall global legal history with a wide variety of hands-on programs such as a legislation class, scientific investigation class, mock courtroom & trial, and simulated prisons. For pre-schoolers, there is the Children's Law Village where they learn and experience laws in simpler terms. Also, diverse law experience and training facilities in the theme park offer a wide variety of justice educational programs.

Cheongchoho Lake is a lagoon that is connected to the East Sea, with an area of 1.3 Km2 and an approximate circumference of 5 Km. Located in the center of the city, the lake can be viewed easily from downtown Sokcho. Adjacent to Cheongchoho Lake, one of Sokcho’s 8 must-sees, is the Expo Tower, Expo World, and Expo Excursion Steamer. These were constructed for the 1999 Gangwon International Tourism Expo. The Expo tower rises 73.4 meters high with an observatory. An I-MAX theater is located in Expo World and an Ecology Park is nearby. Additionally, the Expo Excursion Steamer can be taken around the entire lake for great views of the surrounding area.
