Set 1400 years ago, the drama, ‘Seodongyo’, showcases the love between the king of the Baekje Dynasty and the princess of the Silla Kingdom. It was filmed in Chungnam Buyeo-gu at the Seodongyo Theme Park. The theme park offers a variety of highlights such as the royal residences of Baekje and Silla, the place where the nobles held their banquets, the commoners’ village, and the village of the nobles. Visitors can also engage in various experience programs including jegichagi (a game played by kicking around a shuttlecock), swings, character necklace making, trying on drama costumes, and more.Entry into the theme park is possible from 9:00am to 6:00pm on Mondays through Fridays and at 9:00am to 9:00pm during the weekends. Jinpo Maritime Theme Park

The Jinpo Maritime Theme Park was opened in 2008 to commemorate Jinpodaecheop, the sweeping victory of Jinpo in the naval combat against the Japanese forces led by General Choi Mu-seon in 1380. Constructed against a scenic backdrop of the local port and the vast sea, the park houses 16 retired military crafts of 13 models. On display at the park are vintage tanks, historical artillery, combat planes, and warships including the Wibongham Ship, which was a vessel of combat during the Vietnam War. Visitors can even explore the insides of decommissioned warships. The exhibition hall inside the Wibongham Ship showcases the weapons used during the Jinpodaecheop War, artillery made by General Choi Mu-seon, and the typical life inside the warship.

Bundang Olympic Sports Center Ice Skating Rink

Eongtto Falls

Eongtto Waterfalls is hidden within a forest and appears only after a heavy rainfall. The falls is 50 meters high and is surrounded by uniquely formed rocks and stones. In the vicinity of the falls, there is a spacious temperate forest and evergreen scenery creates that contributes to the area's scenic beauty year-round. To reach the waterfall, visitors pass through Wolsan Village in Gangjeong-dong, Seogwipo-si, and follow an upward path for 500m, following Akgeuncheon Stream or walking along the mandarin field for 800m to the northwest at the front road of Gang Chang-hak Park. Eongtto Falls is one of the 70 scenic views of Jeju-do Island.

Korea National Arboretum and Forest Museum(Gwangneung Forest)

The Korea National Arboretum (KNA) is situated in Gwangneung forest and contains the Forest Museum where all the information on forestry is exhibited. The construction of the arboretum and museum took place on October 25, 1985 and opened on April 5, 1987. In order to preserve the forests, weekends and holiday entrance were restricted, reservations were required 5 days in advance, and no more than 5,000 visitors were accepted per day. As diverse plants are gaining recognition worldwide, the research department formed the Office of Forestry on May 24, 1999.Korea National Arboretum covers an area of 1,157㏊ and contains 15 specialized forests, including Conifer Garden, the Garden of Ornamental Trees, and the Aroma and Touch Garden. The Forest Museum is the largest in Asia, covering 4628 sq.m² with a traditional Korean design, and the interior and exterior are both constructed of wood and stone. The arboretum facilities consist of 5 exhibition halls (Living Forest, Forest and Man, Forestry of the World, Forestry of Korea, Nature of Korea), a Herbarium, a Special Exhibition Room, and an Audio Visual Hall.

Sanbanggulsa Grotto

It is said that the peak of Mt.Hallasan where Baekrokho Lake now exists was taken off and thrown away, which then became Mt. Sanbangsan. The myth describes how unlike other mountains on Jejudo Island, this mountain does not have a crater. The 5m-high rock cave at the cliff on the southwest side of the mountain was originally called Sanbanggul Cave, but it is called a temple now because it possesses a Buddhist statue.This is where monk Hye-Il (964~1053) had lived during the Goryeo Dynasty (918~1392)Inside the cave, you can see Marado Island and the Dragon Head Coast. You can also see small ponds being made by the water drops that fall from the ceiling all through the year. The plant zone on a cliff of Mt. Sanbangsan is also designated as a natural monument. It is the only place on Jejudo Island where island boxwoods grow. On the Dragon Head Coast is the Hamel Memorial Monument.

Dadaepo Beach

Dadaepo Beach is made from sands deposited by Nakdonggang River and features shallow water and wide sand fields suitable for children to enjoy. Nearby, Dadaepo Beach Park is also the perfect place for a family vacation as various facilities such as a foot bathing facility, shower facilities, and parking places are available. The place is also used for the Busan sea festival and the event venue for daljip (brushwood) burning on Jeongwol Daeboreum.

Other attractions of the park include Grass Park, a large green field, Sculpture park with pieces in three themes, glass observatory, providing a walk right over the ocean, an observatory platform to view the surrounding area, and exhibition hall, showcasing the history of Sun Cruise Resort.

Samcheok Beach
