If you go south from Seoknamsa Temple coming off Mt. Gajisan, you will arrive at Deokhyeongjae, and if you continue walking south, you will see Baenaegol (valley), within which you will find the Paraeso Falls. Because of the rugged road leading toward these scenic falls, they have remained somewhat hidden and off the beaten track. The captivating falls cascade downward from a x_height of 15 meters, spraying white clouds of mist as the waters reach the bottom. The falls feed into a wide pond below, 100 meters in diameter. The falls and surrounding valley are a popular attraction during the summer for those hikers eager to escape from the summer heat and to enjoy a therapeutic walk in the nearby natural forest.  

Seorae Village is located in between Banpo4-dong and Bangbaebun-dong in Seochu-gu, Seoul. Past the Banpo Bridge of Sapyeong-ro road and Palace Hotel along Seorae-ro road and you can see a cluster of luxurious villas. This was the former location of Ecole Francaise de Seoul, a French school for the France residents who resided here in 1985. There are about 1,000 French citizens residing in Korea (as of 2008 statistics) and about half of them are living in this area. Thus, Seorae Village naturally became a global village much thanks to the strong presence of French citizens in this area. Furthermore, situated geographically near Gangnam and the central business district area, along with natural sites including Yangjae stream and Hangang River Park, makes it a pleasant environment space for all. Every morning, long lines of cyclists with their bikes can be seen waiting in front of the bakery to buy the freshly baked baguettes. The traditional French bakery makes bread from ingredients that are directly imported from France and thus been a favorite to any French residents living in Korea. The shops in Seorae Village shops are modest and charming. The street is lined with shops and small restaurants, seeming to have been lifted straight out of Europe. In recent year, Seorae Village has undergone several changes. In every other street found here, a luxurious café and wine bar can be found and if you like to enjoy your meal outdoors, several cafes or restaurants with balcony seats are also available. This is currently one of the most popular areas among the locals and it has a nickname of ‘Little France’.

“Human-powered gliders” refer to gliders under 50kg that can be operated by shifting one’s weight; this include devices such as hang gliders and paragliders. Paragliding, despite its short history, is the most popular type of human-powered glider. Mungyeong Flying Land, a top paragliding facility, is conveniently located in Mungyeong, which offers excellent conditions for this amazing sport. Mungyeong’s geography creates an excellent updraft and steady winds, and the area’s total absence of high-tension wires means plenty of wide-open space for a safe landing. Mungyeong Flying Land is surrounded by outstanding mountains (Juheulsan, Joryeongsan, and Seongjubong) giving visitors a unique and exciting flying experience. Situated between Miryang (Gyeongsangnam-do) and Ulju (Ulsan), Jaeyaksan Mountain (1,108m) boasts gorgeous landscapes with giant rock formations near its peak. Along a ridge 800m high sits Sajapyeong, one of the largest silver grass plains in Korea. Because of its breathtaking views during the fall, it was commonly referred to as one of the eight scenic sights on Jaeyaksan Mountain.Sajapyeong is a popular hiking destinations in the Yeongnam range (a group of peaks in southeastern Korea). The vast gentle waves of wind-blown silvergrass are reminiscent of ocean waves at sea. At the western foot of Jaeyaksan Mountain are the ancient Pyochungsa Temple, Cheungcheung Falls, Heukryong Falls (both approximately 20m high), and Geumgang Falls (25m high). Another attraction, to the north of the mountain, is Eoleumgol (Ice Valley, designated as Natural Monument No. 224) on Cheonhwangsan Mountain because of its often sub-zero temperatures even during summer months. 

According to historic records, ceramics have been developed here since the early days of the Joseon Dynasty, as the nation’s best materials for making ceramics, such as clay, white clay, and Kaolin, were produced around Mount Ssari in Bungnae-myeon. Mid-standing artists here study the process of making traditional ceramics as well as more novel works that utilize unconventional methods. In addition to the ceramic art complex, there are many cultural relics such as the Silleuksa Temple Resort, the royal tomb Yeongneung, and the ruins of Godalsa Temple.

Rafting is a challenging recreational activity in which a team of six to eight people navigates fast-flowing rivers. Rafting not only offers excitement, but also gives an overview of the natural landscape. Training for rafting provides participants with an opportunity to gain self-confidence, learn to cooperate with their teammates, and relieve stress.Naerincheon Stream in particular is considered one of the top three rafting spots in Korea along with the Hantangang River and Donggang River. Consisting of over ten rapid sub-streams, Naerincheon is the only stream in Korea that runs from south to north.The stream stretches over 6km from Wondaegyo to Gosari Resting Spot; its narrow x_width and pointed rocks offer one of the most exciting and challenging rafting experiences. Rafts are often turned upside down, and each sub-stream is connected to the others, offering little time for rafters to make each maneuver.Naerincheon Stream Rafting is also known for its excellent amenities, like its modern shower facilities with warm water. 

The Baeksu Coastal Road is National Highway 77 and Provincial Highway 14. It is one of the best drives in Jeollanam-do Province. Driving on this road, one encounters dynamically changing landscapes, including splendid rocks on along the coastal cliffs. The road is 16.5 kilometers long and gives a beautiful view of the Chilsan Sea. During sunset, beautiful colors along the west coast draw crowds of visitors all year round.

Punggi Hot Spring is located 3 km away from the town of Punggi-eup. It is regarded as the top hot spring in Korea, and the water is 100% natural, containing minerals like alkali fluorine. The area around the hot spring offers trekking at Sobaeksan National Park and chances to learn about Confucianism and Buddhism while exploring Buseoksa Temple, Sosuseowon Confucian Academy, and Seonbichon Village. The water of Punggi Hot Spring contains minerals like sulfur, fluorine, and bicarbonate, which have health benefits such as relieving chronic arthritis, neuralgia, metal intoxication, arteriosclerosis, diabetes, bronchitis, and other ailments. * H₂content S: 1.725 ppm
