Munui Cultural Properties Site offers overlooks of Daecheongho Lake. Attracting many visitors, the place was created to preserve and promote the local traditional culture of Cheongwon (Chungcheongbuk-do); it is a great place to learn about local history, culture, and arts.The spacious complex (132,232m2) is home to ten traditional houses (Munsangwan, houses by aristocrats, a museum, and a tavern), showing a form of a traditional village. It is also full of dolmens, stones (symbolizing abundant procreation), Jangseung (totem poles at the entrance of villages or temples), and Yeonjabanga (millstones worked by horses or oxen), providing visitors with opportunities to learn about traditional culture and life.With the theme of roof tiles, a relics gallery in the complex boasts over 774 local items, categorized in each historical period (e.g. the Silla Period, Baekje Period, etc.). Munsan-ri Stone Bridge, believed to have been built during the Goryeo Period, was restored in front of the gallery.The complex also offers a wide array of amenities including mineral spring sites, playgrounds, and Munui Movie Village (a drive-in movie theater in the parking lot). Nearby notable attractions include Artificial Falls, Yangseongsan Mountain, Jakdusan Mountain, Daecheongho Lake, Nosan Pine Forest, Donghwasa Temple, and Bugang Mineral Springs. 

Although the DMZ Museum was established in memory of a painful past, the museum today embraces everything about the latest efforts made to transform the DMZ from a place of political scars to a symbol of peace and ecology.The museum features exhibition halls arranged under a number of different themes that underscore the historical significance of the DMZ and its value as a treasure trove of ecology for the future.

The largest irrigation facility in Korea, Byeokgolje Reservoir (Historic Site No. 111) is considered the birthplace of Korea’s rice-farming culture. All that remains of the reservoir today are a three-kilometer long embankment that spans from Sinyong-ri to Wolseung-ri in Buryang-myeon, Gimje-si and a monument that was erected in 1415. The Byeokgolje Museum of Agricultural Culture exhibits around 250 artifacts related to rice farming; located within the same complex is an experience center where visitors can discover the many properties of irrigation facilities first-hand.

Yanggu Porcelain Museum (Formerly Bangsan Porcelain Museum) presents porcelain from the Bangsan area with various video clips to help take a look at the history of porcelain in the Bangsan area. Visitors can also try their hand at making porcelain from scratch!

The Deokgu Spaworld, located in Uljin-gun, has naturally flowing hot springs water of the finest quality. There are also many sights to see in the area including Eungbongsan Mountain, Deokgu Valley, the Hyeongje Falls, Okryudae, Seonnyeotang, and more.The Deokgu Hot Springs were first discovered around 600 years ago, and are known to be beneficial for people with neuralgia, rheumatism, muscle aches, and skin disorders.The Deokgu Hot Springs are a great getaway for the entire family. Not only can you enjoy bathing in the hot springs water, but there are plenty of plants and animals to see at the nearby mountains and valleys. The hot springs resort has been continuously upgraded since 1983.

Heongseong Hot Springs opened in March 2002, and is a bicarbonate alkaline hot springs located at the foot of the Adapsan Mountain. Hoengseong Hot Springs Silk Road boasts picturesque rock outcroppings and an open-air hot springs that has an expansive view of the Thousand Years Wood of Adapsan Mountain. Hoengseong Hot Springs offers different types of hot springs for visitors to select and experience, including a red clay charcoal sauna, cold waterfall pool, daily event pool with a different theme every day and a paradise pool for couples. Enjoy a restorative stay at Hoengseong hot springs, which also offers relaxing accommodations.The hot water pools are known to be relaxing, as the refreshing alkaline hot springs are rich in carbon dioxide. Taehahyangmok (or Juniper Tree in English) Tourist Monorail takes visitors on a tour of the beautiful site in Ulleung-do Island. The monorail starts from ‘Charcoal Cave’ in Taeha-dong and ends at ‘Taeha Lighthouse’, the best vista point in Ulleung-do Island. The monorail travels for 6 minutes on a 304m rail climbing uphill at a maximumof  39-degree incline. The service consists of two cars from which magnificent views of the ocean can be enjoyed through the 360-degree glass windows.A 10 minute walk from the monorail departure point takes visitors to the Taehahyangmok (Juniper Tree) Observatory. The ocean views from the observatory are considered one of the ten most beautiful spots in Korea, attracting a large number of visitors every year. The image of the island’s forestry combined with the deep blue ocean and jagged rock formations like Gongam Rock, Noinbong Peak, Songgotbong Peak, and Samseonam Rock that also offer fantastic photo opportunities.

Jukbyeonhang Port is a fishing port in northern Uljin. The port is guarded by a 15.6m-tall lighthouse. The port is surrounded by restaurants serving seafood. In addition to squid, mackerel, and king crabs, seaweed is another specialty item of the region.
