Located in Seolbong Park, the Woljeon Museum of Art Icheon commemorates the great artist Woljeon Chang Woo Soung and his works. Originally opened in Seoul Jongro-gu Palpan-dong, the museum moved to Icheon in August 2007 when Woljeon bequeathed the museum to Icheon City along with 1,532 pieces of artwork and personal memorabilia. The new Woljeon Museum has 2 stories and 1 basement floor with 5 exhibitions halls (permanent & planned exhibition halls), a Woljeon Memorial Hall, a lecture hall, a souvenir shop, and a cafeteria. In the permanent exhibition hall, Chang’s masterpieces and personal belongings are on display, ranging from paintings and calligraphic works to stamps, ceramic works, books, and stationery.

Baekundong Valley flows 5km from the valley of Mt. Deoktaesan and Mt. Seongaksan. There are oak trees and maple trees growing in thick clusters and clean waters flowing nearby. Baekundong Valley stands between the seven brother stones and Yongdam Waterfall, and starting from this point to Gwuiddegicheong Peak is Baekundong Valley. The rocks are connected in a long line and ponds can be seen here and there. On each sides of the valley there are rock walls, which make for some unforgettable scenery. Baekundong Valley maintains its natural beauty and majesty, which attracts many mountain climbers. Especially from the middle point where Jikbaekun and Gokbaekun combine to the Gugok Valley the most magnificent scenery of Baekundong Valley can be seen. The largest waterfall of Baekundong Valley, called Baekun Waterfall, is about 30 meters high. The upper part of the waterfall has rocks lined up in a long line. The landscape of Mt. Seoraksan seen from here is the representative natural scenery of Mt.Seoraksan.

Saejae, meaning “bird pass,” refers to “a pass so high and steep that even birds find the crossing difficult.” The Mungyeongsaejae-gil road inside Mungyeongsaejae Provincial Park is well developed and suitable for hikers of all ages. Here, visitors can appreciate the lush forest and the fall foliage in autumn. There are three gates along the pass: Juheulgwan, Jogokgwan, and Joryeonggwan. Collectively, they are known as Mungyeong Gwanmun (Mungyeong Gateways). Near each gateway, there are areas where hikers can stop and take a rest. There are also hiking trails leading to nearby mountains such as Juheulsan Mountain and Tanhyangsan Mountain. The nearby Mungyeong Hot Spring is perfect for unwinding after a long hike. The SBS Film Set and the Mungyeong Coal Museum are located in the Gaeun area just south of Mungyeong. Daeyasan Mountain and Yongchu Valley are located nearby and the area has plenty of accommodation facilities for tourists and hikers. Mungyeong rail bike, which departs from Gaeun Station and Gurang-ri Station, is also popular. Popular summer destinations such as Ssanyong Valley and STX Resort are located in the Nongam area. Close to Baegun Lake is a Buddhist temple that was famous for the udumbara flower, a rarity that blooms on Buddhist statues. It is the Cheonggyesa Temple (청계사) of Cheonggyesan Mountain (청계산). Built during the Silla Kingdom, the temple offers many sights, including the Cheonggyesa Temple Monument, geungnakbojeon (Hall of Paradise), the bell tower, samseonggak (shrine for three spirits), jijangjeon (Ksitigarbha Hall), three temple dormitory buildings, including the Sugak, and gamnoji pond where there is spring water that never dries up. Among the many things to see, visitors should not miss a glimpse of the Bronze Bell of Cheonggyesa Temple and the Wood Printing Block in Cheonggyesa Temple. Created in the 27th year of the reign of King Sukjong (1701) of the Joseon Dynasty, the Bronze Bell has been designated as a national treasure, and is adorned with elaborate patterns, such as the bosanghwamun (floral pattern), four images of Buddha holding a lotus flower stem, and two dragons.

Banghwadong Natural Recreational Forest is located at the foot of Jangansan Mountain. The mountain trail from Deoksanyongso Pond leading to Banghwadong Valley features nature learning centers and adventure games facilities. The clean valley is lined with oddly shaped cliffs, shrubs and trees, which all combine into a splendid view. The forest is situated at a highland more than 500 meters above sea level. It is surrounded by mountains that are over a thousand meters high above sea level, so the temperature is low and the water at the valley is cool even in the summer. There are log cabins, group accommodation facilities, and training halls by the valley to accommodate group visits, conferences, gatherings and seminars. There are also video rooms, broadcast facilities, and restaurants. The group accommodation facilities offer eight rooms for up to eight persons, eight rooms for up to six persons, and there are four 12-person log cabins.

Hwangcheong Fishing Site, located in Hwangcheongpogu-ro, Naega-myeon, Ganghwa-gun, is a valley-type reservoir that was built in 1993. The site covers an area of about 76033 ㎡, and has an average water level of 2.5-4m with the highest water level being over 15m. The main fish species are crucian carps, common carps, leather carps, Korean bullheads, and pond smelt. Also near the fishing site are other facilities including pensions, bungalows, restaurants and snack bars.
