Keimyung Art Center (계명아트센터)

Keimyung Art Center covers an area of 10,000 square meters with three upper floors and two basement floors. It is equipped with 1,954 seats and cutting-edge stage facilities for hosting diverse genres of performance arts like operas, musicals, concerts, plays, and dance. Since its opening in October 2008, the center has been greatly contributing in facilitating communication with a broad audience and increasing cultural opportunities for Daegu citizens. The center also arranges various social restoration and educational programs.

Hwang Ryong Won (황룡원)
 
Gyeongsangbuk-do(Gyeongju-si) ,
This unique architecture is a reinterpretation of the Hwangryongsa nine-story pagoda format from the Silla period using modern science technology and architecture methods. The building has become a new landmark in Bomun Tourist Complex and is also used as a training institute by offering various programs like meditation. There are simple one-hour programs or overnight tour courses available through prior reservation.

Eocheongdo Island is a small island with a rich variety of sources for unique discoveries. Located about 70㎞ west of Gunsan (an international trading port in Korea's Jeollakbuk-do), Eocheongdo Island is a strategic stopover port for vessels plying the West Sea between the southern coast of Korea and Seoul's main port of Incheon. With its perfectly shaped harbor and historic lighthouse that stands as the western most light for vessels in this area, the island offers good protection from high seas and storms during the long journey. Located about 300㎞ east of mainland China, Eocheongdo Island is also an important stopover site for migratory birds between the two land masses. The island, in this sense, has become an esoteric place for bird watchers from all over the world to spot numerous species that inhabit the island.

Daejeo Ecological Park (대저생태공원)

Daejeo Ecological Park is located along the riverbanks of Nakdonggang River next to Gimhae Airport. The park is a habitat for migratory birds, designated Natural Memorial No. 179. The park is made up of various marshs and waterways, flowers and grasses, and exercise facilities. The exercise equipment is located at both ends of the park, making it easy to use before and after exploring the various walking paths through the park. The park is also the venue of the annual Nakdong Canola Festival that takes place in April.

Chung Young Yang Embroidery Museum was founded in May 2004 to enhance public awareness and appreciation of embroidery art with ample facilities including exhibition hall, library, conservation center, learning center, embroidery study room, education and research rooms. The museum emphasizes on the variety of textiles and embroidery and also features collections from various Northeast Asian countries. The Chung Young Yang Embroidery Museum stresses the importance of embroidery as an evolving form of art through changes in technology, social and cultural environment. In addition, the learning center also aims to become a learning center for scholarship in embroidery and other textile arts that can be appreciated by a wide audience.

Surisan Provincial Park (수리산도립공원)

Surisan Mountain (수리산), a provincial park of Gyeonggi Province, surrounds Gunpo City and is easily accessible as it can be reached in about one hour from anywhere in the Seoul metropolitan area. Grand old trees that range from 100 to 300 years old make for picturesque scenery. The mountain is also an important ecological zone, inhabited by many species of flowers and butterflies that are only found in Korea, along with many endangered species of animals and plants. Oryukdo Lighthouse (오륙도 등대)
 
Busan(Nam-gu) ,
Oryukdo is a rocky island near Seungdumal, Bugan in Busan Bay. Originally designated Busan Metropolitan City Monument No. 22 in 1972, the island was upgraded to National Cultural Heritage Scenic Spot No. 24 on October, 2007 and is now one of the main tourist attractions of Busan. Depending on the tides, Oryukdo (“O” meaning “5”, “Yuk” meaning “6”) sometimes looks as if it is made of five or six islets. Several decades after the Busanhang Port opened (1876), a lighthouse was built (November 1937) in Batseom Island of Oryukdo to guide ships traveling to and from the island. Initially only 6.2 meters high, the lighthouse underwent renovations (completed in December 1998) and now stands tall at 27.5 meters. The lighthouse is home to an exhibition room showing photos of major lighthouses in Korea and boasts a stunning view of Busanhang Port as well as an unforgettable nightscape.

Gildong Ecological Park (길동 자연생태공원)

Gildong Ecological Park was built by the Seoul Government by restoring the wetland on the roadside of Cheonho-daero. The park maintains and preserves a wide range of flora and fauna in their natural habitats, allowing park visitors to observe plants, animals and insects in a natural ecosystem, and to learn about the importance of nature conservation.
