Ilsan Lake Park spans over 300,000 pyeong (991,800 square meters), making it one of the largest man-made parks in Asia. Around 90,000 pyeong of fresh water lakes are kept consistently clean. The park offers visitors a lot to see and do including the Riverside Square, artificial islands, a 4.7km bike path, children’s play ground, natural experience site, musical fountain, 100 species of wild flowers and a dense forest with 200,000 trees. Also, the park is known for its Goyang International Flower Foundation.

The Korea Culture House (KOUS) opened in April 2003 to introduce Korea’s traditional culture and provide a series of experience programs to both tourists visiting Korea and foreigners already residing in Korea.The Korea Culture House comprises a traditional arts performance stage, traditional culture workshops, a traditional teahouse, and a cultural products store. The Traditional Arts Performance Stage has been designed in the shape of a Norimadang (traditional Korean performance stage).Performances are held everyday at 8:00pm except on Sundays. The Traditional Culture Workshop currently offers a variety of experience programs including handcrafts. Telephone reservations are required for large groups of 30 people or more. Originally founded as O Ik-hwan Women’s Hospital in 1993, Seoul Women’s Hospital is presently the only hospital specializing in obstetrics and gynecology in Incheon and it is the first women’s hospital to have acquired the medical institution certification. The hospital serves an average of about 5,000 child births annually, 250,000 outpatients, and numerous cases of surgical operations. The hospital has maintained the top ranking delivery rate in Incheon for consecutive years, and is ranked third nationwide. It has 97 beds in total, where 90 of them are for general patients and 7 are in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). It was approved as a baby-friendly hospital by UNICEF in 2005 and 2009. The hospital provides first aid for high risk infants and premature babies in need of special care or treatment at its neonatal intensive care unit, which is equipped with specialized equipment including 11 incubators, artificial ventilators, and echocardiographs to offer immediate and accurate checkup and treatment. Lastly, the hospital deals with over 800 cases of in vitro fertilization (IVF) a year and over 1,000 cases of artificial insemination (AID) annually. The success rate of pregnancy via IVF was 50% in year 2012. The hospital was designated as a “medical institution specialized in embryo creation” in 2005 by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and was registered as a government supported IVF and AID authorized institution in 2006 for couples with sterility issues.

Samnak Riverside Sports Park is a civic park located in Samnak-dong, Sasang-gu, Busan. The 1,430,000-pyeong park has facilities for 12 different sports activities as well as a grass square, wildflower complex, natural wetland area, bike path, walking course, and cultural grounds. The park is also a popular venue for performances, concerts, and public sporting events. Family visitors can often be found at the acupressure walkway and wildflower garden, while the 17,000-pyeong canola field is most frequented by tourists. Easily accessible via public transportation, the park also offers a spacious parking lot.  

Established in 1976, Cecil Theater is a very prominent theater. The first five Korean Film Festivals were held here, making it the heart of Korean theaters. It is a theater steeped in tradition, and was reopened not long ago, with its facilities modernized. The high and narrow stage was lowered for better viewing, and the stage was widened to a greater scale. The lobby is especially fancy. It always carries a nice scent of espresso, which is provided free of charge. It is open everyday from noon to 1 p.m. even on days with no performances, for local office workers.Cecil Theater is known for the view of its surroundings. The spacious path leading to the theater is surrounded by stonewalls. Beside the trail is the Cathedral of the Korean Anglican Church. With its classical architecture and flowering trees, it is an absolutely beautiful sight. It is especially elegant and beautiful during spring and autumn. You can also visit Deoksugung Palace, Jeong-dong Street and City Hall in the neighborhood.

Geek Live House is one of the most popular live clubs in the Hongdae (Hongik University) area, the home of clubs in Korea. It was opened by professional musicians in February 2003 as a venue that focuses on music performances as opposed to dance. The club has state-of-the-art stage, lighting, and audio equipment and is one of the best places in the area to enjoy performances by your favorite music professionals as well as see some of the up-and-coming talent. The club can house over 150 visitors (seats and standing room) and hosts 3-4 live performances each night. The Geek Live House is a lively place to experience the Korean independent band music scene and the club culture of the Hongdae (Hongik University) area.

Alternative Space Loop (also known as the “Loop”) is a non-profit gallery that provides exhibition space and support programs for young and promising artists. In the late 1900s, many artists could not afford to pay for exhibition space in a gallery and struggled to pursue their passion for the arts. The idea of a “free alternative exhibition space” was born and as a result, the Loop was opened in Sangsu-dong in Feb, 1999. In 2005, the Loop was moved to Seogyo-dong, its current location.On the first floor and in the basement, the works of new artists are on display. On the 2nd floor, there is a small café where visitors can take a break and enjoy a cup of coffee, have discussions, or read one of the books provided.The Loop has been holdng exhibitions and performances more than ten times a year ever since its opening. The gallery engages in diverse international exchanges such as Tirana Biennale and in 2002, was invited to the Gwangju Biennale as an alternative art space. 

Busan Tower is a symbol of Busan that stands proudly 69m above sea level at a x_height of 120m. The top of the tower is modeled after the baldaquin of Dabotap Pagoda in Bulguksa Temple, Gyeongju.Beloved by Busan citizens and tourists alike, the tower offers a stunning night view and plenty to see, such as the Statue of the Great Admiral Yi Sun-shin, the Bell of the Citizens, a flower clock and a bust of the Busan-based independent activist, Baeksan An Hee-je.

Sindang-dong Tteokbokki Town street was built starting from late 70s, though the alley is considered to have had its best days in the 80s. In addition to being featured on popular DJ programs of the time, the period also marked the prime time of high school baseball where students would crowd the streets during days where Duksoo Commercial High School and Sunrin Commercial High School (now Sunrin Internet High School) faced one another.As the high school students aged they continued to visit the area reliving the period of their youth and continuing to indulge in the specialty tteokbokki. However, some claim the history of this alley began in the 1950s. The owner of Mabongnim Halmeoni Tteokbokki (마복림할머니떡볶이) restaurant says Tteokbokki was being sold as early as 1953 as the area used to be home to Donga Theater and she sold Tteokbokki, corn and potatoes to those visiting the theatre.At first, Tteokbokki was simply made with Gochujang (고추장), but as time went by, cooks decided the dish could be more than just a snack.  So, by adding ingredients like eggs, cellophane noodles, fish cakes, instant noodles and more recently squid, prawn and cheese makes the taste more delicious and turns the once snack into a full meal.
