Yeonmudae Post

Yeonmudae Post is located inside Suwon's Hwaseong Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Situated on a relatively high hill between Changryongmun (the east gate of the fortress) and Hwahongmun (a north floodgate), Yeonmudae is an excellent military observation post with sweeping views of the inside of the fortress. After the fortress was completed in 1796, Yeonmudae was used as a training ground for troops for over two centuries, where they learned fighting skills involving swords, spears and arrows.At Yeonmudae, visitors can learn archery while wearing traditional military attire; the fortress also offers a wide array of performances for visitors to appreciate traditional Korean culture. Yeomudae is included in the Suwon City Tour course. 

Ewha Welcome Center

Ewha Welcome Center opened in 2013 as the first promotional center and visitor center of its kind on a university campus in Korea, comprising an information desk, an exhibition lounge and a gift shop. The information desk offers useful information to help visitors get the most out of their Ewha campus experience. The exhibit lounge introduces the history, traditions, and vision of the present-day and future of the university year-round. Visitors can purchase university gear at center’s gift shop. Furthermore, foreign visitors can take part in a range of campus tour programs for an enriching experience on Ewha’s campus with the center's English and Chinese language services.

Suwonhyanggyo Confucian School

The Suwon Hyanggyo is one of the Confucian temple and school to teach local students in the Chosŏn Dynasty period (1392~ 1910).The Suwon Hyanggyo houses the memorial tables of Confucius, Mencius, and twenty-five notable historical Korean figures. The structure was originally built in the 22nd year of King Wonjong’s rule during the Goryeo era (918-1392) by Hwaseonggun, but was moved to its current location when Hwaseong Fortress was constructed.

Baek-Je Won

Baek-Je Won is a cultural complex made up of a botanical garden and the Buyeo Museum. The botanical garden has wild plants grown in the Baekje area. It is smaller than most botanical gardens but the plants here are categorized together according to their characteristics. Plants are displayed like artworks to blend together with Buyeo's cultural relics, therefore tranforming the garden into a space to see both experience both nature and history together. The Buyeo Museum has exhibits showcasing the lifestyle of Buyeo's people from the Baekje period to the modern times. Exhibits include materials related to plants and agriculture, cultural heritage artifacts, folklore materials such as ceramics, and modern-day items like stamps, music items and movie posters.

Icheon Termeden has an area of around 30,000 square meters. It is Korea’s first German style spa resort. It is located next to a thick forest, so visitors can enjoy the water and spa facilities and then take a stroll in the forest. The water park has a very large bade pool (a shallow pool that has many underwater massage jets), a hot spring spa, various sport facilities, arcades, a cultural hall, and various other subsidiary facilities.Unlike Japanese style spas, which contain mainly hot baths, Germany style western spas are more focused on water massages. Water jets located in the bade pool shoot out water, which massages various parts of the body and at the same time revitalizes the skin. In addition, you can walk, swim, or exercise in the water stream pool, which has a depth of 120 cm.Icheon Termeden started as a hot spring spa, but it plans to expand further into a multi-resort complex, which will include hotel and condominium facilities, an arboretum, a golf driving range, and horseback riding. 

Bongsan Culture Street

Bongsan Culture Street is a landmark culture & arts place in Daegu. The street, which stretches all the way from Daegu Hakwon to Bongsan Yukgeori (six-way intersection), has over 20 galleries of various sizes.It was 1991 when the small alley with several art galleries started to turn into a breeding ground for culture and the arts. Soon after, the street was officially designated ‘Bongsan Culture Street’ and subsequently, the roads were neatly paved, artistic street lamps were installed, and streetside gardens were created. With the opening of Bongsan Culture Center and Cultural House for Teens, the street became increasingly frequently by citizens, not just professional artists.At Bongsan Culture Street, artwork os on display throughout the year and every October (when the Bongsan Art Festival is held) the whole street is filled with artistic passion. 

Daejeon Station

Daejeon Station is located in the center of the country, and is a key stop on the Korea Railroad (KORAIL) line. The station opened January 1, 1905, when the railway between Seoul and Busan opened. Located in the old downtown area on the southeast side of Daejeon, the station serves as a railway transportation hub. All the passenger trains bound for Korea’s major cities including Seoul, Gwangju, Dongdaegu (East Daegu), Busan, Ulsan, and Pohang pass through this station. In front of the station is Daejeon Subway Station.
