Sinjeongho Tourist Park was created in 1993 on land spanning 272,000 square meters in the Bangchuk-dong area of Asan City. The park has various attractions including a grass plaza, bird garden, wildflower park, sculpture park, youth facilities, and 8.45 meter-high statue of Admiral Lee Sun-shin. The ecological park at the tourist park entrance is home to a variety of plants such as pine trees and azalea flowers, while the sculpture park attracts visitors in the winter with a large ice sculpture 8 meters wide and 3 meters high. Sinjeongho Lake, located in front of the tourist park, is a popular fishing spot throughout the year and visitors can enjoy a leisurely ride on motor boats or pleasure boats.

Gangwon Land Casino is Korea’s first ever casino to allow the admission of Koreans. It was established under the ‘Special law regarding support for the development of abandoned mine areas,’ which was passed in 1995 with the purpose of resuscitating the economy of such abandoned mine areas. Gyeryongsan National Park stretches across Daejeon, Gongju, and Nonsan. This spectacular mountain is 845.1m above sea level and was made a national park in 1968. The origin of the word Gyeryong ('Gye' meaning 'chicken,' and 'Yong' meaning 'dragon') comes from the fact that the ridgeline looks like a dragon wearing a chicken's crest on its head. The topographical features are what make this mountain stand out and its mysterious folklore is what makes it so interesting. There are 15 summits on this mountain, of which Cheonhwangbong (845.1m) is the main. Several others include the peaks of Sambulbong, Sinseongbong, and Gwaneumbong. This mountain is famous for its many interesting sites, with its fantastic rock structures, on the west side the Yongmun Waterfall, to the east Eunseon Waterfall, and to the south Amyongchu and Sutyongchu Waterfalls.In the spring, cherry blossoms bloom on Donghaksa Mountain trail, and during the summer the lush green of the Donghaksa Valley is very beautiful. During the fall, the maple trees reveal their crimson colored leaves around Gapsa Temple and Yongmun Waterfall. And the snowcapped peaks of Sambulbong in the winter are simply breathtaking.Gyeryongsan is full of rare animals and plants, beautiful waterfalls and a rich history with mysterious legends and cultural treasures. To the east is Donghaksa Temple; northwest, Gapsa Temple; southwest, Sinwonsa Temple; and southeast, Yonghwasa Temple. Its valleys are full of ponds and falls that blend together perfectly with the surroundings.

Jungmun Golf Club is located along the seaside cliffs and has 18 holes, featuring a golf and country club set up in the area of the coastal course. It is open all year long. Though Wangsang Beach is just 5 minutes away from Eurwang-ri, the beach has quite a different ambiance compared to the Eurwang-ri area. While Eurwang-ri is more like a vacation spot for younger crowds, Wangsan as the relaxing charm of a fishing village. The view of the setting sun at Wangsan is one of eight scenic sites of Yongu.

This open film set is located in Jorye-dong, Suncheon. It consists of three villages each representing a different era from the 1950s to the 1970s. It has approximately 200 houses and is the largest film set in Korea. The realistic sets bring about memories of people’s youth, while younger visitors can learn about Korea’s history. It therefore attracts a large number of families.The streets of Suncheon in the 1950s have been perfectly recreated. There are the major theater, Jeil Brewery, and the fire station. In the 60s and 70s film sets, visitors can view scenes from Seoul’s history, such as daldongne (residential towns for poor families in uphill areas of Seoul) and shopping streets from the city’s outskirts.Inside the film set, visitors can enter into the spirit of the place by eating buchimgae (pan-fried foods) and dotorimuk (acorn gelatin) at a traditional open Korean tavern, and it’s fun to look for the houses that were featured in some of Korea’s most popular dramas. In the spring, the Woldeung orchard with its outdoor film has beautiful apricot and peach blossoms in the spring.

Goransa Temple is located at the foot of Baengmagang River, surrounded by the cliffs of Nakhwaam. The temple is assumed to have been built toward the end of the Baekje Kingdom. Although there is no historical record of the temple, it has been said it was used as a resting spot for kings of the Baekje Kingdom.There is a well-named Goranjeong behind the temple, with Gorancho (Crypsinus hastatus) growing between the rocks above the well. The kings of Baekje used to drink water from Goranjeong at least once a day, and the servants who brought the water floated the leaves of Gorancho plant as sign that it came from that well.Visitors to the temple should also take some time to enjoy the beautiful views of Baengmagang River. A ferry ride along the river also offers splendid views.

Chang-dong Art Village was developed in an effort to rekindle commercial businesses in the declining downtown area. The empty town has been transformed into an urban, trendy art village, tied close to the city. The main concept of the art villiage is to meld with the city's strengths in art for urban renewal. The city, which was once the heart of culture and art in 1950s and 1960s, has gone through the process of so-called "urban regeneration through the arts".To indulge in recollections of the good old days, the three main alleys in the village, namely Moonshin Art Alley, Masan Mountain Trail Art Alley, and Ecole de Chang-dong Alley, along with the many exciting programs available bring out the best.

Located in Gomso-ri, Jinseo-myeon in Buan-gun County, the Gomso Salt Field is one of the few salterns in Korea that produces Cheonilyeom solar salt. Unlike other salterns, Gomso is not located by the ocean, but is situated along Gomsoman Bay, adjacent to the sea.During the Joseon Dynasty, salt fields covered the area from Julpoman Bay to Gomsoman Bay, producing salt that was sent along with rice to Noryangjin from Geonmopo (Gujin). Aside from its long history, the salt of Gomso is also known for containing 10 times more minerals than any other salt.The coast from Chaeseokgang Cliffs to Gochang, which includes Gomso Salt Field, features one of the world’s most well-developed wetlands. With some luck, visitors can even see people at work at the saltern. When the weather is hot in the summer, work is done mostly in the early morning.

Hyundai Gallery is located in the heart of Daejeon. The City Hall, Court of Law, and Police Station etc. are some of the important establishments concentrated in the area. The Exhibit Hall on the B1 floor of Hyundai Gallery is 70 Pyeong (1 pyeong = 3.3 square meters), and is the preferred locale for talented artists exhibiting their work. The lighting is very impressive, and highlights the exhibited items beautifully. The simplicity of its design allows you to focus on and enjoy the artwork even more. There is a historic art gallery near the Hyundai Gallery, and the third largest lake in Korea called Daecheongho Lake.
