Computers have undergone a dynamic and fast-paced evolution for the last four decades. It set critical roles for the establishment of world-wide gaming industries, including NEXON. Thus Nexon Computer Museum was established in Jeju to share the rich history of computers and to display the digital phenomenon, which has increasingly become a pivotal segment of society, is valuable for future generations. Cherry blossoms cover Simni (10ri*) Cherry Blossom Road from Hwagae Market to Ssanggyesa Temple. Along with Gurye's sansuyu flowers, Hwagae's cherry blossoms symbolize the onset of spring at Jirisan Mountain. Every year in March and April, the cherry blossom road draws in many visitors.*ri is a traditional Korean measurement unit; 10ri is approximately 4km.

Jeungdo Island (증도) was the first city to be designated a ‘slow city’ in Asia thanks to its unspoiled nature and clean waters. It was assigned as a biodiversity conservation area by UNESCO. Jeungdo Island also has Korea’s largest salt fields. At Taepyeong Salt Field, you can experience real life in a fishing village. There is a tour of the salt museum and hands-on programs for tourists to make the experience more personal. There are some 90 uninhabited islands and islets neighboring the Jeungdo Island. The Wujeon Beach Resort offers a magnificent view of the horizon. The mud hopper bridge, which stands in the mudflats, along with the relic of a historical monument and wetland ecology exhibition hall, are some of the things you can see on the island of Jeungdo. ※ Jeungdo Island Mudflats Festival opens in early August each year, offering a mudflat program as well as a drying by the sun salt-making program, among others.  

Samsung Innovation Museum is an electronic industrial museum run by Samsung, a major global company based in Korea. The museum mainly consists of three sections. Visitors can learn about the history of Korea's electronic industry, as well as the past, present and future of the semiconductor, display and mobile industries, where Samsung made great achievements. The museum also runs an education facility called Children's Display Research Institute.

2002 FIFA WORLD CUP was held at Jeju World Cup Stadium located on Jeju Island.Jeju World Cup Stadium was designed in the shape of the mouth of a volcano and its roof in the shape of nets of traditional fishing boats in Jeju. The stadium was built 14m below ground level to endure strong winds. Jeju is the most famous tourist attraction in Korea, so there are many places of interest like Mt. Hallasan, Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, Yeomiji Botanical Gardens and Jungmun Beach.

First established in Ganghwa-eup during the 5th year of King Injong in the Goryeo Dynasty (1127), Ganghwahyanggyo Confucian School was moved to Ganghwa-gun and then restored at the foot of Buksan Mountain (formally Songaksan Mountain) in 1624 by Sim Yeol during the 2nd year of King Injo. Ganghwahyanggyo Confucian School is regarded as an important cultural and historical site in Ganghwa-eup.

The former Mooee Elementary School has been transformed into Mooee Arts Center exhibiting works of noted Korean artists. It is located in the town of Bongpyeong-myeon in Pyeongchang-gun County, which was the hometown of the famous Korean writer Lee Hyo-seok (1907-1942) and the background setting of his representative novel ‘When Buckwheat Blossoms Bloom.’ Mooee Arts Center opened on April 18, 2001 after 2 years of preparation by Korean artists of various genres including the Western-style painter Jeong Yeon-seo, calligrapher Lee Cheon-seop, sculptor Oh Sang-wook, and potter Kwon Soon-beom. The schoolyard has been turned into an outdoor sculpture park displaying large-scale sculptures. The arts center also offers hands-on experience programs and a chance to view the artists creating their pieces.

Yangyang International Airport, located in Dongho-ri, Sonyang-myeon, Yangyang-gun, Gangwon-do, is the only international airport in the Yeongdong region. The airport excellently serves as the arrival point for tourists to Korea’s representative attractions of Gangwon, Seoraksan Mountain and Donghae. The airport provides much information in regards to tourism in the Yeongdong region in addition to offering a tourism transportation service.As there are no mountains nearby and the strong winds from the ocean blow away any fog, Yangyang International Airport serves as a substitute airport for nearby Sokcho Airport, which has a 30% cancellation rate, and Gangneung Airport, which has a limited runway. The airport is equipped with a control tower, and the Korean Peninsula Energy Development Organization (KEDO) is planning on building a North-South direction passage, connecting Yangyang International Airport with Seondeok Airport in the Hamgyeongnam-do region of North Korea in accordance with the North-South Passage Protocol of 1997.
