Dongguksa Temple was built by Japanese monk Seoneungbulgwan in 1909. The temple was run by Japanese monks for 36 years during the Japanese occupation, reverting to Korean jurisdiction when Korea was liberated in 1945. The historical temple is the only surviving Japanese-style temple in the nation. The temple is characterized by its two main buildings, Daeungjeon Hall and Yosachae, which are connected by a corridor, and the temple’s relative lack of decoration, which stands as a sharp contrast to the brilliantly-colored Korean temples. Dongguksa Temple was officially designated Cultural Asset No. 64 in July 2003 and is now a branch temple of Seonunsa Temple in Gochang, the 24th district of the Korean Buddhist Jogye Order.

Munsan Station first began operating as a regular station in April, 1906. The station is the first and the last station for a Commuter Train running from Gyeongui Line, a metropolitan subway line, to Dorasan Station. The station was designated as the last station of the Gyeongui Line in 1953, and has been operating since as a metropolitan railroad, after the Gyeongui Line opened in 2009.

Located in the middle of Woraksan Mountain, Joryeongsan Mountain, and Sujupalbong Mountain, Hot Sulfur Springs is considered one of the best hot sulfur springs in Korea. Sulfur springs effectively assist in treating a range of health issues. Since it softens skin, it is helpful for treating cornification of the skin and chronic eczema. It enlarges micro vessels, aiding in the treatment of chronic rheumatism, high blood pressure, diabetes, woman’s diseases, arteriosclerosis, and athlete’s foot. Yonghwasa Temple is home to two official national treasures, Seokjoyeoraejwasang (Seated stone Buddha statue; National Treasure No.120) and Seokburipsang (Standing stone Buddha statue; National Treasure No.118). Pieces of broken stone pagodas, lanterns and fountains still remain at the site.

Goseong-gun’s Hwajinpo Aquarium (화진포 해양박물관) is located in the Hwajinpo area of Gangwondo Province and consists of two exhibition rooms with one room featuring a total of 40,000 or 1,500 species shellfish including rare shellfish, crustaceans, coral, fossils and a stuffed specimens; and the other displaying 125 species of 3,000 fish living in fish tanks of varying sizes and shapes designed and equipped in accordance with the characteristics and habitats of each species of fish. There is a 300 ton overhead underwater tunnel on the first floor of the fish exhibition room. The second floor is home to the Ocean Beach and Beautiful East Sea Exhibitions; the Invertebrate Animal Center along with a 3-D Theater that shows films like "Hwajinpo Becomes a Lake", "Ocean Day", and the "Amazing Underwater Trip.

Pinx Golf Club is the first golf course in Korea to make the 100 Best Course lists compiled by US Golf Digest and UK Golf World in 2005. Extra care has been put into the landscaping of this golf club. The golf course makes good use of the geographical features that make each hole distinctively unique. Designed by the renowned golf course designer Theodore G. Robinson, it combines traditional concepts of a world-class golf course with new concepts of the 21 century. The entire course offers a view of the Hallasan Mountain and the ocean. Year-round play is possible, and over 30 centimeters of sand paved beneath the greens provide good drainage. The Junam Ecological Center consists of an exhibition gallery, main hall, and local produce store. When you arrive, you will be guided into the Main Hall galleries where you will view framed samples and stuffed animals to learn about the birds, plants, and insects that are living in Junam. In the theater, you will watch a video showing the intricate relationships between humans and the birds of Junam. Meanwhile, monitors hanging on the outer walls of the galleries show the birds’ flying technique and their ecology. After exploring the center, take a free bicycle ride to the wetlands to see the reservoir and migratory birds.  

Located in Omi-ri, Toji-myeon, Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do, the Unjoru Pavilion was designated an Important Folklore Cultural Property on November 25, 1986. It was built in 1776, by Ryu, I-Ju who was high government official of the Sam-su Department, but only 63 of the 78 rooms remained today. The name 'Unjoru' refers to 'the lurking place like a bird in the clouds', which was inspired from an old poem 'GwiGeoraesa (歸去來辭)' written by poet Tao Yuan Ming (陶淵明).
