Chunhyang Theme Park in the Namwon Tourist Complex in Namwon City, Jeollabuk-do Province celebrates the story of Chunhyang, a love story similar to that of Romeo and Juliette. Set in the Joseon Dynasty, the story tells of the secret love between Chun-hyang (the daughter of a former courtesan) and Mong-ryong (the son of a local governor). Chunhyang Theme Park consists of five different sections illustrating the famous story: “Scene of First Encounter," "Scene of Pledge," "Scene of Love and Separation," "Scene of Suffering," and "Scene of Celebration.” “Scene of First Encounter" houses an information center, a lighted fountain, and a souvenir shop. In "Scene of Pledge," visitors are met with Okjihwan (a jade ring), a stone pagoda, and promise plaques. At the "Scene of Love and Separation," visitors can see a replica of Wolmae’s house, Buyongdang (where Chunhyang and Mong-ryong spent their wedding night together) and other filming locations of the movie version of “Chunhyang.” In the section "Scene of Suffering," patrons can visit Dongheon and Oksajeong (where Chunhyang's life in jail is reenacted). The final section (“Scene of Celebration”) not only houses performance centers, but also offers visitors a scenic open-air rest plaza.  

Museum SAN (originally Hansol Museum), has its Welcome Center located in the vast abundance of nature, and is composed of three gardens within. From the Museum’s Welcome Center that is reminiscent of a huge fortress, visitors can walk through the the Flower Garden in full blossom, then to the Water Garden where a dazzling display of water reflecting the surroundings, and finally appreciate the Ando Tadao's Stone Garden featuring nine stone mounds inspired by ancient Silla tombs. The museum aims to rediscover the meaning and value of paper in the exhibition at the Paper Gallery, as well as a collection of artworks that reflects the development of Korean modern and contemporary art, which are presented in the Cheongjo Gallery. Last but not least, the Stone Garden is a space where visitors can view the unique exhibition of James Turrell’s main artworks – Sky Space, Horizon Room, Ganzfeld and Wedgework.

The Banpo Seoraeseom Island is an artificial island built in the mid-1980s. Located in Banpo-jigu District by the Hangang riverside, the island is connected to Hangang Banpo Park by three bridges. The island features weeping willows along the edges, as well as a migratory bird habitat, flower garden, water ski site, and more.

The Kukje Galley has been committed to presenting the work of significant Korean and international contemporary artists to the public since 1982. And, subsequently, works of Korean artists have received great attention from non-Korean collectors who were previously unexposed to Korean art. 

The Appenzeller Noble Memorial Museum opened in 2008 in the East Hall of the Pai Chai Institute, a Western-style educational institution built in 1916. The museum building is designated Seoul Monument No. 16. With dynamically-arranged permanent exhibitions, annual special exhibitions and special lectures, the museum offers a unique learning experience to visitors and people with an interest in the history of education in Korea.

Jangchungdan Park is located on the north-eastern foot of Mt. Namsan. On August 20th, 1895, Empress Myeongseong was killed by Japanese soldiers in Gyeongbok Palace and many Korean soldiers such as Gyeongjik (I) and Hong Gyehun died while trying to hold back the intruders. In memory of these soldiers, Emperor Gojong built the Jangchungdan Shrine on November, 1900 (currently the site of the Shilla Hotel guesthouse). The shrine was lost during the Korean War and the area was renovated into a park in 1919.On September 22 1984, Jangchungdan Park was designated the 374th neighborhood park of Korea and part of the park was merged with Namsan Park. The remaining area retained the name “Jangchungdan Park” and is still home to cultural assets such as the Jangchungdan Memorial Stone, Supyogyo, Seungjeongjeon, Gwanseongmyo, and Waryongmyo. The park is considered a landmark of patriotism since it contains the 1919 Independence Movement of Korea Memorial Stone and other monuments dedicated to people such as Han Yongun, Yu Gwansun, and Gim Yonghwan who have fought for the independence of Korea.

A Window of Asian Culture Facing the World The Asia Culture Center (ACC) is an international arts and cultural exchange organization that produces new, future-oriented results through the convergence of Asia’s past and present arts and culture with innovative ideas and beliefs. Having the context of artistically sublimating the significance of the May 18th Democratic Movement’s human rights and peace as its point of departure, the ACC, which opened in November 2015, is a Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism–affiliated institution established for the advancement of mutual understanding and cooperative growth with different Asian countries through exchange, education, research, and other efforts with regard to Asian culture. The ACC plays the role of an integrated platform for participants from Asia and the rest of the world to freely unite and exchange their ideas while transcending boundaries in carrying out the steps of research, creation, and production. At the ACC, diverse and dynamic programs (exhibitions, performances, education, festivals, and other events) using collected research data, resources, etc., are held year-round with the creative output of experts from various fields who have exchanged their creativity and ingenuity with one another.  

Ripley’s "Believe It or Not!" Museum (originally created by Robert Ripley) is the largest museum franchise business in the world, with 31 locations worldwide. The new branch on Jeju Island (near the entrance of Jungmun Resort, Seogwipo-si) is the 32nd location and 11th country for the chain. The Jeju branch of the museum consists of 12 galleries, an outdoor park, souvenir shop, and a coffee house. The museum will feature as many as 700 astounding, one-of-a-kind items collected by explorer Robert Ripley (1893∼1949), during his travels of over 35 years to 198 different countries. Visitors to the museum will be awed by a large selection of hard-to-believe pieces including part of the Berlin Wall from 1989, meteorites from Mars, and a life-size model of man that's part Unicorn. All the items on display come complete with anecdotes and historical explanations, which present an amusing alternative to traditional museums.
