*GANGHWA ANGLICAN CHURCH : The Anglican church was first introduced to Ganghwado in 1890 and English Father Wangrando commenced preaching of the gospel right after he procured a house of residential church in Gapgotni in 1893.
Meanwhile, Father Wangrando returned to his country and Father Joma succeedingly assigned to Joseon arriving at Ganghwa in 1896, then he evangelized Kim Maga (Kim Hui jun) in Ganghwaeup, and also opened Yeonghwawon, a nursery house, to take care of many patients in means of western medical techniques. This church building still remains there which was built in a conventional architecture of Korea in 1900.
*Yongheunggung Palace (용흥궁) : Yongheunggung Palace is where King Cheoljong (a Joseon Dynasty ruler who reigned from 1849 to 1863) used to live before his ascension to throne. The chief of Ganghwa County, Jeong Gi-se, enlarged the original residence and named it Yongheunggung (meaning palace of the rising dragon) in the 4th year of King Cheoljong’s reign. Its architectural features include a paljak (Korean traditional half-hipped roof) and supporting columns rendered in Jusimpo style, the column brackets placed only on top of the columns. The palace was built in the tradition of dwelling houses such as the Yeongyeongdang and Nakseonjae houses in Changdeokgung Palace, so the palace buildings give off a simple and plain atmosphere. Within the precincts of the palace are a memorial stone and a monument house indicating that the palace used to be the old home of King Cheoljong.
*Goryeogung Palace Site : Goryeogung Palace Site on Ganghwado Island is the site of the royal palace where the people of the Goryeo Dynasty (918-1392) resisted the Mongolian invasion for 39 years. In the 19th year of his reign, King Gojong moved the capital to Ganghwa on account of its natural and strategic advantages. During the Byeongjahoran (Chinese invasion of Korea) in 1637, the palace was lost by force to the Qing dynasty of China. Later, Joseon Dynasty palace building and Ganghwa Yusubu (Ganghwa governor’s office) buildings existed in the Goryeo palace site but were destroyed by the French army during the Byeonginyangyo (French Campaign against Korea). Nowadays, the only structures that remain are the Dongheon main office (built in 1638) and Ibangcheong administration office (built in 1654). The palace and its subsidiary buildings were restored in 1977. It has historical lessons of the spirit of independence and overcoming national crisis.

2. *10:00 - 12:00:Incheon Art Platform, Gaehangjang(Open Port Area) Street, Jemulpo Gurakbu, Jayu Park(Incheon)
Incheon Art Platform is definitely worth visiting just to look around various warehouse buildings and the former office building of Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha situated on a land of more than 8,200 square meters.
Incheon Art Platform is located in Haean-dong of Incheon known for its well-preserved architectural heritage sites and buildings that display both ancient and modern architecture. The complex was established through remodeling buildings constructed in the 1930s and 1940s, and by revamping such landmark buildings as Nippon Yusen Kaisah (Cultural Property No. 248) from the days when Korea first opened its doors to the outside world. The 13 buildings, including studios, library, training center, exhibition and performance halls, that make up Art Platform are expected to develop into a huge street museum in the future, thereby preserving the historical establishments, while displaying the modern interpretation of the past.
As the Incheon Port was opened in 1883, this is where one could feel the rich history and culture accumulated over 126 years. Formerly used by the Japanese consulate, the Jung-gu Office, the Incheon branch of Japan's 1st, 18th and 58th Bank and other modern historical architecture can be found intact here. Also, it keeps the historical trace like Former Japan Mail and Shipping Inc., Incheon Art Platform, Jemulpo Gurakbu, and others for visitors to see and listen at the Incheon Gaehangjang (Open Port Area).
Jemulpo Club was established in 1901 to be used as the venue for foreigners such as American, English, German, French, Russian and a small minority of Chinese and Japanese all living in Incheon to build up friendships before opening the port. The two-story brick building was comprised of a library room, pool table, tennis court and others facilities. The site was used as Incheon Museum from 1953 to 1990 and Incheon Cultural Center from 1990 to 2006. In 2007, the name was changed to Jemulpo Gurakbu. It now offers a site for experiencing modern culture interactions.
Jayu Park, or park of Freedom, has held its name ever since October 3, 1957 when a statue of General McArthur, who led the Incheon Amphibious Landing Operation during the Korean War, was erected at the summit of Mt. Eungbongsan. The park offers spectacular views of downtown Incheon and its surrounding mountains, the port, and the sea. The first western style park in Korea. During April, cherry trees are in full bloom. The Port of Incheon and Wolmido may be seen from the peak of Jayu Park.
3. Incheon Chinatown + Free lunch time
Korea's modernization started in Incheon, the biggest port on the country's west coast. Let's visit Incheon Open Port Trail.
Pai-loo is a traditional Chinese gate that is set up at the entrance of towns. There are three pai-loos in the Town.
Incheon's Chinatown came into being with the opening of Incheon Port in 1883 and Incheon's designation as an extraterritoriality of the Ching Dynasty in the following year. In the past, the area held many stores trading goods imported from China, but currently most Chinese businesses in the area are restaurants. Today, the residents of Chinatown are mostly 2nd or 3rd generation Chinese, descendents of the early Chinese settlers. The area harbors many of the flavors of China, while the traditional culture of the first generation are preserved.
Let’s take jajangmyeon, if you feel hungry. All restaurants in the Town prepare their own jajangmyeon: home-made sauce noodle; vegetables and bean noodle without meat; white noodle; dry noodle; and more. It might be a big reward to take jajangmyeon at a place where its history began.
4. Songwol-dong Fairy Tale Village
The opening of the Incheon Port in 1883 led to the start of many foreigners coming into the area for settlement. Soon, it became a rich village and many young people gradually moved out, leaving the village in a state of stagnant. As such, a renovation project was brought upon to improve development of the village by painting and decorating classic fairy tales all around.
Songwoldong Donghwa Village is literally “donghwa,” a fairy-tales town. The whole town is full of themes from fairy-tales. A big rainbow-board reads “Songwoldong Donghwa Village” welcomes visitors at the entrance. Take the left-side alley, where the village begins. Numerous main characters in fairy tales are waiting you in murals, sculptures, and photo zones. While walking through the village recalling the titles, main characters, and story-lines, visitors are fascinated by the village.
5. Hanmi Bookstore
Connecting past and present, people and culture / Baedari Bookstall Street
For the town name, Baedari, some say it originated from a fact that the village is where ships are brought. Others say it came from a bridge in the town that brought boats. Anyway since the opening of a harbor at Jemulpo beach in 1883, people gathered to form a town, Baedari.
*Kim Shin visits this book shop frequently and it is aslo the place where Samshin (Birth Grandmother, played by Lee El) warned him about Ji Eun Tak’s fate (Episode 9).
6. Songhyeon Park
Situated in Songhyeon, which houses Inchoen's first tap water facility, this park has a water playground, artificial waterfall, pond, inline skating rink and more. During the warmer season, there are lots of beautiful flowers along the paths that make for the perfect photo.
*Episode 2 Where Kim Eun Tak meets Grim Reaper for the second time, after 9years.

Seoul(Seongdong-gu)
A quick walk from exit 4 of Seongsu Station, visitors in Seongsu-dong will be able to find Union Star Bowling Club. Located on the basement of a red-brick building, the venue is often visited by a number of Hallyu stars including Kim Soo-hyun (who was recently on Infinity Challenge to test his bowling skills), G-Dragon and the members of former girl-group 2NE1. Bowling pins signed by the Hallyu stars are proudly displayed throughout the venue.
A unique aspect of Union Star Bowling Club is that it is divided into two floors. The first basement floor is Rock Bowling Alley featuring ten lanes. Dimly lit with pink and blue florescent lights, it functions as a bowling-pub serving a wide selection of domestic and imported beer. Club music gets the energy going while darts and video games are available for those waiting for their turn. The second basement floor is General Bowling Alley offering twelve lanes. Opening from 11am, the whole floor is brightly lit and modestly decorated. Visitors to the Union Star Bowling Club should ask about the Red Pin Game event: anyone who scores a strike when a red pin appears as the head pin will receive a free bottle of beer.
Seoul(Jung-gu)
In the 1970s, an elevated road was built to connect the eastern and western sides around Seoul Station. However, the road was closed to road traffic due to safety issues. After this, rather than tearing down the existing structure, the road was transformed into Seoullo 7017, a new pedestrian walking experience.
Seoullo 7017 gets its name from its years of new life, from being a traffic road in the 70s to a sky garden in 2017. The "17" also has a deeper meaning, with Seoullo 7017 being divided into 17 unique sections, and the road being located 17 meters above the ground.
There are a variety of facilities along Seoullo 7017, including an information center, cafes, gardens, and stages. Seoullo 7017 itself is open all day, every day for visitors to enjoy at their leisure. If you would like a guided tour, be sure to sign up for the guided walking tour through the official Visit Seoul website.

Located in Musil-dong, Wonju in Gangwon-do, Wonju Hanji Theme Park offers hands-on activities, educational materials and exhibitions related to hanji, traditional Korean paper, and its history.
The 1st floor is dedicated to the history of hanji, including how it was invented and distributed along with presentation of remaining artifacts of hanji. Visitors will not only be able to learn the history of hanji, but will also get a glimpse of how the life was like in the past. On one side of Hanji History Exhibition Hall is an exhibition of various hanji artworks, such as Jiseung Fan by Na Seo-hwan, Manchu by Sobin, and Jumchi Armor by Hanji Development Institute. The Jumchi Armor is made using the jumchi technique, where hanji are layered on top of each other using water for adhesiveness, resulting in rocky and thick surface unlike regular hanji. Hanji that has gone through jumchi technique is light but has a strong enough surface to be arrow-proof and therefore it was often used as a material to make armory or winter outfits. The next exhibition hall, Hanji Media Hall, presents media works such as hanji related movies, documentaries, etc., as well as stories of hanji and the history of Wonju Hanji Theme Park. The 2nd floor is a special exhibition room prepared for hanji or paper related exhibitions.
After the tour of the two exhibition halls, visitors can participate in hands-on activities. The two main activities offered by Wonju Hanji Theme Park are Hanji Making Experience and Hanji Craft Activity.
