1004 Bridge (천사대교)

1004 Bridge, opened in April 04, 2019 connects Songgong-ri to Sinseok-ri in Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do. The name 1004 is for the 1004 islands that surrounds Sinan-gun. The bridge is the fourth longest marine bridge in Korea.

Dongnaeeupsong Fortress Site (동래읍성지)

Dongnaeeupsong Fortress Site is a representative fortress that combined the mountain and flatland. Built around late Goryo and early Joseon period, the fortress was a fierce battleground during Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592. After the battle the fortress was abandoned until being renovated in 1731, making the fortress bigger than before. The fortress had many gates with additional half circle rock wall to protect the gate. During the Japanese occupation, most of the wall was damage with only the walls along Naansan Mountain remaining. After year 2000, Busan-si has attempted to excavate the remains and conserve and restore the fortress site.

Waterworks Museum (수도박물관)

The Ttukseom Water Purification Plant (Waterworks Museum and Slow Sand Filtration Basin) was completed in August 1908 as the first water purification plant ever built in Korea. In 2008, it celebrated 100 years of history with the opeing of the Waterworks Museum, which showcases the history and value of Seoul's public waterworks. The water supply facility and Slow Sand Filtration Basin are designated No.72 Tangible Cultural Asset of Seoul.

The Korean Financial History Museum was established by Shinhan Bank in 1997 with the purpose of helping the general public gain a deeper understanding of the development and history of Korea's finance industry. The museum features displays on financial history, Korean money, and the history of Shinhan Bank, as well as educational programs.

The name Nurimaru APEC House is created by combining the Korean words nuri (“world”) and maru (“summit”), and “APEC House,” which refers to an APEC conference hall. Collectively, it means “a house where the world summits gather together for an APEC meeting.” Located on Dongbaekseom Island, which is noted for its beautiful, natural landscape accented by dense camellia and pine trees, Nurimaru APEC House has been used as a memorial hall and a prestigious international conference hall since the APEC summit meeting. Nurimaru, a 3-story building, is a modernistic expression of “jeongja,” a pavilion in traditional Korean architectural style. Its roof shape symbolizes the ridgeline of Dongbaekseom Island. Its interior design is a visual display of Korea’s creative traditional culture. The terrace, which has a Korean wooden floor concept, towers over Oryukdo Island, Gwangan Bridge and Dallmaji Hill. Located near Haeundae Beach, it not only offers a spectacular view of the beach, but also has the appearance of a reputable international conference hall featuring both modern and natural beauty.
