Kkotji Beach

Located 4 km southwest from on-site Anmyeon-eup, Kkotji Beach is 3.2 km in length and 300m wide. The beach has perfect conditions with its gentle slope, clear water and its comfortable water temperature. You can enjoy fresh fish from the nearby Port Bangpohang, as well as see the legendary Halmibawi Rock.The beautiful view of the sunset here attracts numerous photographers during all four seasons.

Showking Fantasy Show

Showking Fantasy Show's performance stage contains international standard high-tech stage facilities including 2,000 seats, great sound facilities, and flashy special effects. A wide range of exciting performances will be held including aerial acrobatics performed 30m above the ground, a musical performance, an award-winning bike stunt by 17 performers, and a risky performance by five motorcyclists. Also, performances with 40 actors (carefully selected from Shanghai, China) will be held.  

Ulsan Airport

Nestled in Songjeong-dong, Buk-gu, Ulsan Metropolitan City, Ulsan Airport first opened in November 1970, with Korean Air’s newly-established route to Ulsan Airfield. It ceased operating in 1973, and was shut down in 1974. The airport later reopened in March 1992, when Asiana Airlines opened a regular route between Seoul and Ulsan. In February 1993, Korean Air started serving a route between Ulsan and Jeju, and Asiana Airlines also opened the same route in May that year. In December 1997, the airport expanded its passengers terminal. Now, the airport can handle 60,000 flights and 2.4 million passengers a year, and has a parking lot that can accommodate up to 534 cars.  

Samtan Art Mine

At the foot of Hambaeksan Mountain where was the main producing place of anthracite, Samtan Art Mine transformed an abandoned mine which is unique and special point of the place, into a cultural art complex. The name of ‘Samtan’ refers to Samcheok Tanjwa, one of major coal mines in Korea, and ‘Art Min’ refers to ‘Coal mine’ in English and has meaning that of a mining coal turning into cultural art space. Throughout the nation, many cultural art places are located but Samtan Art Mine attracts visitors for being an actual mine site, which was closed in October 2001 after its first opening in 1964 when it was developed as a industrial establishment. Likewise, it is meaningful that the mine site became an artistic site despite its historically poignant history.

Bongnae Waterfall

Bongnae Waterfall is three-tiered with a x_height of 25 meters. The flowing, cool water brings a slight chill to the area surrounding the falls, especially in summer. As a major tourist attraction, Bongnae Waterfall is also the only source of drinking water for residents in Ulleung-eup. Most of the water used in restaurants and inns in Ulleung-eup come from Bongnae Waterfall.Two sites near the falls are well worth visiting: Punghyeol (natural air vents from which cool subterranean air blows) and the Forest Retreat. Punghyeol is located between Jeodong-ri and Bongnae Waterfall. During the peak of summer, chilly winds of about 4 Degrees Celsius blow from the rock openings and is often known as the “natural air-conditioner”. Next to Punghyeol is a thick forest of cedar, which makes a wonderful vacation spot during summertime.※ Note: This area is restricted due to unexpected incidents of landfall. Isang Yun Memorial Park

A memorial park for the world-renowned composer Isang Yun was created in Docheon-dong, Tongyeong-si where the great composer was born. The Isang Yun Memorial Park consists of several sections including an exhibition hall displaying the composer’s legacy; a multi-purpose lounge, serving coffee and selling souvenirs; a Memorial Hall, where all kinds of performances and seminars take place; and Gyeongsa Square, an outdoor event venue.

Bonghwasan Mountain (Seoul) (봉화산 (서울))

Bonghwasan Mountain (alt. 160m) in Jungnang-gu, Seoul offers scenic views of Buramsan, Dobongsan, and Namsan mountains. From the mountain, hikers can even see as far as the Yangju area of Gyeonggi-do Province to the north. Officially designated a “neighborhood park” in July 1977, Bonghwasan Mountain has a variety of convenience facilities, not least of which is the beacon tower of Achasan Bongsudae (remolded in 1994) perched on the mountain summit. Also near the summit is Sansingak Shrine, which is the site of the annual Bonghwasan Dodanggut (Intangible Cultural Property of Seoul No. 34), a shamanistic rite performed on the third day of the third lunar month.

Deoksan Hot Spa District

5·18 Memorial Park

The 5·18 Memorial Park was established to remember the May 18 Democratization Movement. Covering an area of 204,985㎡, the park houses various historical and cultural facilities, including the 5·18 Library, 5·18 Cultural Center, Education Center, Daedong Plaza, Owoldae Tower, and other memorial sculpture and monuments. The park is also home to Mugaksa Temple and walking paths.
