The 19km-long Bugak Skyway runs along the northeast ridge of Bugaksan Mountain. Opened in September 1968, the road quickly became known as one of Korea’s most scenic driving routes. The road offers lovely views of Bukhansan Mountain’s Bibong Peak and Munsubong Peak on one side and Namsan Mountain on the other side. Trees line the roadside and different flowers bloom per season. The skyway leads to an octagonal pavilion at the top called Palgakjeong, where visitors can get a panoramic view of the city, take photos, and have a meal or coffee while enjoying the scenery. Soulone, meaning "filled with laughter," is a hidden healing space of approximately13,200 m². This is a place where you can rest your weary body and mind while being surrounded by the trees and flowers. You can also rest your eyes quietly gazing at garden trees, rocks, and potted plants (bonsai) beautifully decorating the place along with other other kinds of plants, like tropical plants in the greenhouse. A coffee shop with a modern interior will allow you to enjoy the landscaped garden at a glance while sipping your coffee. Also, it is refreshing to take a light walk along the tunnel of trees on the mountain road.

As one of Korea’s top four fields of reeds, Sinseong-ri Reed Field (nearly 60,000 pyeong) has also been popularized as a filming location of the mega-hit Korean movie, “JSA.” To protect the natural environment, only 2-3% of the entire area of field of reed has been developed into a park. About 100,000 migratory birds (40 species) pass through every winter (especially in December and January). In fall, the golden fields of reeds create a romantic atmosphere along the banks of the glittering Geumgang River. Nearby tourist attractions include a riverbank resort, Wolmyeong Park (in Gunsan), Chunjangdae Beach (in Seocheon-gun) and Hansan Ramie Fabric Museum. ※ Tour period: July to February

The world’s first liquor museum covers an area of 24908 sq. ft. with three floors and a unique entrance gate decorated with a large distiller. The basement floor contains Wine, Beer, Asian Liquor, and Aqua Vitae exhibition halls as well as the Drinking Culture Exhibition where various information on worldwide liquor and its health effects are available.

The Crinum Lily Habitat on Jeju-do's Tokkiseom Island (Rabbit Island) is located 50 meters off the coast of Hado-ri, Gujwa-eup in Jeju-si. Crinum lilies grow in an environment where the average temperature is around 15℃ with the lowest temperature no less than minus 3.5℃. The flower is white and blooms from July to September. They bloom at night and have a strong fragrance.

Maaeyeoraejwasang consists of a Maebul (a Buddha carved in a cliff) at the very top of 12 Buddha images carved in natural rock caves located in a steep cliff of Golgulam Rock of Girimsa Valley. A painting of the Maaeyeoraejwasang titled "Golgulseokgul" by Gyeomjae Jeongseon, a famous painter of the era, revealed that there was once a wooden room located in front of the Maebul, but today only a hint of the room remains on the rock. The head of the Buddha (Yukgye) is perched solid and high on the body with a clear profile of the face – sharp eyes, small lips and a long and narrow nose. In contrast to the three-dimensional face, the body is broader and flatter. The neck and upper chest sections have eroded over time. The folds in the clothing are nearly parallel, and the arm area has a v-pattern wrinkle, giving it a more realistic and three-dimensional quality. Around the head of the Buddha is a lotus-shaped halo, while the body is surrounded by a rhythmic flame-like halo. The Maebul is believed to have been created during the late Unified Silla Kingdom, as it shows similar craftsmanship to Birojanabuljwasang (National Treasure No. 995), which was created in the year 876 and is located in Chukseosa Temple.

Samcheok Express Bus Terminal, located in Namyang-dong, Gangwon-do, is a gateway for visitors to Donghae, the east coast of Korea.

Within winter skiers’ Mecca, Gangwon-do Pyeongchang-gun Yongpyong Resort, summer targeted water park, Peak Island, is opening. As a center of family vacation spots, Peak Island is offering enjoyment throughout all four seasons. Yongpyong Resort, well known as a ski resort, focused in winter interior which reflects to be very unique western image. Peak Island is located at Korea’s highest above the sea level of 700m which consists of one basement floor and four ground floors. Over 3,500 people can facilitate together at once and basement floor is for golfers to enjoy spa after the golf games. Palgongsan Mountain (1,192m in elevation), in the outlying reaches of the Taebaek Range, stands sentinel over the spot where the Nakdonggang River and Geumhogang River converge. In the past, Palgongsan Mountain was regarded as a sacred mountain because it resembles the shape of the Three Buddhas. This mountain has magnificent granite formations at higher elevations, and the beautiful valleys, seamlessly interwoven with rock formations and thick forests, make for a spectacular view. Palgongsan Mountain borders Gyeongsan, Yeongcheon, Gunwi-gun and Chilgok-gun in the north and surrounds Daegu metropolitan city in the south. With Birobong Peak in the middle, it extends to Dongbong Peak – Gwanbong Peak (Gatbawi Stone Buddha) in the east and Seobong Peak – Gasan Fortress in the west (20km long). It also offers many beautiful trails. Located to the north of Gyeongsan City, Palgongsan Mountain has a splendid history, as many ancient temples and historical sites such as the Gatbawi Stone Buddha, Wonhyosa Temple, Cheonseongsa Temple and Bulguksa Temple are found on this mountain.  

The Astro Camp was established to encourage young children to take an interest in space and natural science and to develop creative problem-solving skills. To this end, the Children’s Observatory provides a wide range of educational programs developed by expert educators from diverse fields of majors at Yonsei University.In the future, the observatory hopes to continue to expand its experience-centered, in-depth educational programs to help children reach a better understanding of astronomy and natural science principles. Programs focus not only on providing children with accurate information, but also seek to encourage participants to be self-motivated thinkers.
