Bugak Skyway

The 19km-long Bugak Skyway runs along the northeast ridge of Bugaksan Mountain. Opened in September 1968, the road quickly became known as one of Korea’s most scenic driving routes. The road offers lovely views of Bukhansan Mountain’s Bibong Peak and Munsubong Peak on one side and Namsan Mountain on the other side. Trees line the roadside and different flowers bloom per season. The skyway leads to an octagonal pavilion at the top called Palgakjeong, where visitors can get a panoramic view of the city, take photos, and have a meal or coffee while enjoying the scenery. Gaehwa Art Park
 
Chungcheongnam-do(Boryeong-si) ,
Situated in Boryeong (Chungcheongnam-do), spacious Gaehwa Art Park (181,819m2) is a theme art park that houses a variety of parks and attractions: to name a few, Mosan Fine Arts Museum, Birim Park, Yukpilsi Park, Hwain Music Hall, and Herb Land. Herb Land, in a large greenhouse, is home to a wide array of foliage plants, aquatic plants, freshwater fish, amphibians, and insects, an excellent learning center for children; Yukpilsi Park displays stone statues on which works of famous Korean poets are inscribed, making it an ideal place for couples and family visitors. The park boasts over 1,000 sculptures, statues, and monuments as well as seven ponds on which stone sculptures and lotus flowers float. It is a fascinating place to take pictures. A walking trail enveloping park, stretching over 2.5km, is flanked by endless monuments displaying famous Chinese poems. The park, in addition, offers various programs through which to make herbal soap, wooden crafts, or ceramics, ride a banana boat, or go rowing.  

Jeungdo Ujeon Beach

Ujeon Beach stretches 4 km in length on the southwestern coast of the island of Jeungdo-myeon, the biggest natural salt producer in Korea. The silvery white sand as well as the view of the sealine dotted with over 90 deserted islands make Ujeon Beach one of the most attractive seaside destinations. Visitors to Jeungdo Island can explore the sites of salt production and Haetae (a type of seaweed) farming, or go fising at nearby islands, including Naegaldo and Oegaldo Island, Myeongdeokseom Island, Daeseom Island, Bunamdo Island and Myeongseom Island.

Taepyeongmu Initiation Hall
 
Gyeonggi-do(Anseong-si)
Gang Seonyeong, who devoted a lifetime to traditional dance, built the Taepyeongmu Initiation Hall (태평무 전수관) at her own expense in 1998 in her hometown of Anseong for the proper initiation into, and the preservation of traditional dance. A traditional dance performance is held every Saturday at the center for visitors and a traditional dance competition is held annually to preserve Korea’s traditional dance and to discover new talent. The center has a large performance hall (430m2) where up to 400 people can enjoy a performance; a museum displaying Taepyeongmu dance-related materials and folk articles from around the world; two practice rooms; and lodging facilities that can accommodate up to 70 individuals. * Taepyeongmu Dance (Korean Intangible Cultural Asset No. 92) Court dancing that embodies the continuing hope for the nation to exist in peace. The dancers are adorned in magnificent regal costumes and execute enthusiastic movements, alternating steps while in serene repose.  

Palgongsan Provincial Park
 
Gyeongsangbuk-do(Gyeongsan-si) ,
Palgongsan Mountain (1,192m in elevation), in the outlying reaches of the Taebaek Range, stands sentinel over the spot where the Nakdonggang River and Geumhogang River converge. In the past, Palgongsan Mountain was regarded as a sacred mountain because it resembles the shape of the Three Buddhas. This mountain has magnificent granite formations at higher elevations, and the beautiful valleys, seamlessly interwoven with rock formations and thick forests, make for a spectacular view. Palgongsan Mountain borders Gyeongsan, Yeongcheon, Gunwi-gun and Chilgok-gun in the north and surrounds Daegu metropolitan city in the south. With Birobong Peak in the middle, it extends to Dongbong Peak – Gwanbong Peak (Gatbawi Stone Buddha) in the east and Seobong Peak – Gasan Fortress in the west (20km long). It also offers many beautiful trails. Located to the north of Gyeongsan City, Palgongsan Mountain has a splendid history, as many ancient temples and historical sites such as the Gatbawi Stone Buddha, Wonhyosa Temple, Cheonseongsa Temple and Bulguksa Temple are found on this mountain.  

Crinum Lily Habitat in Tokkiseom Island
 
Jeju-do(Jeju-si)
The Crinum Lily Habitat on Jeju-do's Tokkiseom Island (Rabbit Island) is located 50 meters off the coast of Hado-ri, Gujwa-eup in Jeju-si. Crinum lilies grow in an environment where the average temperature is around 15℃ with the lowest temperature no less than minus 3.5℃. The flower is white and blooms from July to September. They bloom at night and have a strong fragrance.

Soulone Botanical Garden

Soulone, meaning "filled with laughter," is a hidden healing space of approximately13,200 m². This is a place where you can rest your weary body and mind while being surrounded by the trees and flowers. You can also rest your eyes quietly gazing at garden trees, rocks, and potted plants (bonsai) beautifully decorating the place along with other other kinds of plants, like tropical plants in the greenhouse. A coffee shop with a modern interior will allow you to enjoy the landscaped garden at a glance while sipping your coffee. Also, it is refreshing to take a light walk along the tunnel of trees on the mountain road.

Hwayang Valley

Hwayang Valley, located 32km east from Cheongju, was designated Songnisan National Park in 1975.The vivid green mountains and clear waters make it a highly sought after tourist spot. The nearby Seonnyudong Valley, just 7km away, is also a huge draw for travelers.Hwayang Valley is composed of various shaped rocks such as Cheomseongdae Observatory, Neungundae Observatory, Waryongam Rock and Eupgungam Rock. Well-known statesman from the Joseon Dynasty, Song Si-yeol, visited the valley and wept for King Hyojong offering his final bow. This rock where he cried was then named Eupgungam Rock meaning ‘crying bow’ Rock. Waryongam Rock gets its name from its shape, which is said to look like a wriggly dragon. Cheomseongdae Observatory was used in order to forecast weather patterns.
