Tamjingang River, 56km long in total, is one of the major three rivers (Yeongsangang, Seomjingang and Tamjingang) of Jeollanam-do Province area that crosses through the center of Jangheung-eup, passing Busan-myeon. It was formerly known as Yeyanggang River, but then later named Tamjingang after residents of Tamrado Island (now Jejudo Island) sailed down the river for the first time. At each river bend is a time-honored pavilion for taking a quality rest and enjoying the gentle breeze from the river. There are a dozen in total. The scenic beauty of the crystal clear water of the river stands complements the lush forest rocky areas of the mountains nearby.

Jeongdongjin Station is a small-sized station built on November 8, 1962. The area around the station gained popularity as a filming site of the drama “Sandglass” and is also widely famous for its sunrise view.

Jecheon Oriental Medicine Expo Park is an educational, cultural and recreational space that promotes hanbang (traditional Korean medicine). The park's facilities include the Hanbang Life Science Center, Fermentation Museum, a medicinal herb sales and exhibition center, and a hanu plaza. Visitors can also take part in the many hanbang-related programs and activities available.

Wolmyeong Park is a popular tourist destination of Gunsan City and connects five mountains in the vicinity. The total size of the park is 2.6 km² and there is a 12km-long walking trail in the park. From the Susi Tower, which resembles a flame and or wind-blown sail, people can see all of Gunsan City, the sea to the south of Gunsan, the mouth of Geumgang River, and the giant Janghang smelting factory. At the foot of Seollimsan Mountain is an old temple named Eunjeoksa, and the Jeil Reservoir is located between Jeombangsan and Seollimsan Mountain. The park also contains an observatory, a sculpture park, and various monuments. The park has well-arranged gardens and 30-year old rattan and cherry trees. Every April, when the park is covered in cherry blossoms and is especially beautiful, a cherry blossom photo contest is held at the park.

Pinx Golf Club is the first golf course in Korea to make the 100 Best Course lists compiled by US Golf Digest and UK Golf World in 2005. Extra care has been put into the landscaping of this golf club. The golf course makes good use of the geographical features that make each hole distinctively unique. Designed by the renowned golf course designer Theodore G. Robinson, it combines traditional concepts of a world-class golf course with new concepts of the 21 century. The entire course offers a view of the Hallasan Mountain and the ocean. Year-round play is possible, and over 30 centimeters of sand paved beneath the greens provide good drainage. Namnong Memorial Hall is an art gallery dedicated to the works and memory of Namnong Heo Gun, a famous artist of the traditional Southern School of Painting. The hall was opened as an art gallery by Namnong Heo Gun (1908-1987) himself in 1985. The Southern School of Painting features natural scenes with accompanying calligraphy. The hall now features over 200 works of art by some of the most famous Korean paintings in history, as well as pottery from China and Japan.

Yongso Valley is a 10km-long valley that starts from Gwangam-ni, Naechon-myeon, passes Duchon-myeon, Gaeseong-ni and then reaches Cheonhyeon-ni. The valley boasts picturesque scenery with crystal clear waters and uniquely shaped rocks. The outstanding scenic beauty of the valley is comparable to that of Naeseorak. In spring the valley is full of azaleas in full bloom, and autumn foliage and silver grass in fall. In summer, visitors can enjoy cool and breezy weather in the valley. The valley is a perfect destination for family getaways or one-day hiking.
