Together with Gwaneumssanggul Cave and the Samseonam Rocks, Gongam Rock is one of the three scenic landscapes of Ulleungdo Island. The rock is in the shape of an elephant with its trunk dipped in the water for a drink. It is also called Gumeong Bawi (or Hole Rock) due to a 10-centimeter hole around the trunk. The surface of the rock looks like stacked firewood due to Jusangjeolli (columnar jointing) phenomenon.

1004 Bridge, opened in April 04, 2019 connects Songgong-ri to Sinseok-ri in Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do. The name 1004 is for the 1004 islands that surrounds Sinan-gun. The bridge is the fourth longest marine bridge in Korea.

Situated in Jangsu-gun in Jeollabuk-do Province, Jangansan Mountain (alt. 1,237m) was officially designated a county park in 1986. Deoksan Valley Stream, which originates in the southwestern part of Jangansan Mountain and flows into Yongnimcheon Stream, is famous for the Deoksanyongso Waterfall Basins and the 20 or so large rocks that dot its banks. The sprawling fields of reeds along the East Ridge are also a major draw, undulating like waves of gold in the crisp autumn wind. Nearby attractions include the birthplace and shrine of Nongae and the Banghwadong Family Vacation Village, which offers minbaks (lodgings in private residences), an auto camping site, water recreation facilities, and a campfire area.

Seorak Special Tourist Zone is a vast zone included in 3 administrative districts, encompassing the entirety of Seoraksan Mountain. In this zone, visitors have various ways to enjoy Seoraksan Mountain and the natural environment of the East Sea region. Sokcho, which occupies the largest area in the zone, comes first when talking about Seoraksan National Park. Tourists can appreciate the picturesque scenery of the sea and coastal lakes as well as the mountain scenery of Seoraksan Mountain. Hikers can climb the mountain or ride a cable car. Sokcho beach is a hot spot that attracts young people who fill the place with energy and life all through the summer. Abai Village, which appeared in several TV dramas for its unique atmosphere, and Sokcho Jungang Market offer local specialties, such as abai sundae (Korean sausage) and dak-gangjeong (fried chicken nuggets coated in a sweet and sour sauce). Goseong, which is bordered by Seoraksan Mountain and Geumgangsan Mountain, is part of the Northern Limit Line (NLL) that offers a unpolluted, beautiful landscape around the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). Hwajinpo Beach near Hwajinpo Lake, which is a lagoon, and Songjiho Beach near Songjiho Lake are the best places to spend a peaceful vacation. At Hwajinpo Lake, tourists can visit the summer houses used by the first South Korean President Lee Seung-man and the former North Korean leader Kim Il-seong before the division of the Korean Peninsula. Lastly, although it is a relatively small part of Seorak Special Tourist Zone, Yangyang has resources for mountain tourism and maritime culture, such as Seoraksan National Park and Naksan Provincial Park. Naksan Beach, Naksansa Temple and Hajodae are popular tourist sites. The Ansan Botanical Garden (안산식물원) has three pavilions: The first pavilion (382.81㎡) is a tropical garden, while the second pavilion in the middle (846㎡) and the third to the south (846㎡), feature marsh plants. Outside are four rose gardens, a fruit tree garden, a wild plant garden, a plant succession garden, and a pond (featuring a total of 46 plants including red momo botan lotus). The botanical park has a pyramid-shaped, modern greenhouse that is a source of pride for Ansan City. The park is also connected to Seongho Park.

Jeodonghang Port is the biggest port in Ulleung-gun where most of squid fishing and related process take place. “Jeodongeohwa,” referring to the luring lights from the boats for squid fishing is one of the famous “8 Major Beauties” of Ulleungdo Island. Chotdaebawi Rock, sitting next to port sea wall, has a sad legend about a daughter who died from grievance when her father never came back from fishing. Now, the port has a large fish market.
