Pyoseon Haevich Beach

Seogwipo City's Pyoseon Beach is quite a large beach, taking up more than 150,000 m². During low tide, the beach looks like an elegant circle, and it becomes a circular lake less than 1 meter deep during high tide, and displays many different colors. The beach is a great place for children to play and for watching the sunrise. The sand on the beach is formed out of broken shells, and sand baths are believed to be effective for people suffering from neuralgia. Every August, this beautiful beach hosts the Pyoseon White Sand Festival, which offers fun and colorful events. The beach is equipped with excellent amenities (a campground, abundant parking space, dressing rooms and shower rooms) and surrounded by nearby attractions, such as Seongeup Folk Village and Jeju Folk Village Museum. 

Ganghwa Dolmen Site [UNESCO World Heritage

Introduction ‘Dolmens’ are stone graves/tombs which date back to the pre-historic era. Dolmens are largely concentrated in Northeast Asia with Korea alone being home to a total of around 30,000 dolmens. The Ganghwa Dolmen Heritage Site, in Bugeun-ri, Ganghwa-gun, Incheon, encompasses roughly 120 dolmens, most of which are Northern-style dolmen that are made of large pieces of stone 7.1m in length and 2.6m in height. The dolmens in this region are found in unusual altitudes of 100-200m above sea level and reveal important information about the prehistoric period. The Ganghwa Dolmen site was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage in Nov. 29th, 2000 along with Gochang Dolmen and Hwasun Dolmen sites. You may enjoy the best view of this historic site around sunset. This granite pagoda from the late Baekje period in Buyeo-eup, Buyeo-gun, Chungcheongnam-do has been designated as National Treasures No. 9. It is generally known as the ‘Baekje 5-story Pagoda.’In the past, it would have been called ‘Pyeongjetap.’ As one of two extant Baekje pagodas, this stone pagoda itself is a precious artifact and very important in establishing the lineage of Korean stone pagoda patterns. With refined and creative features, this pagoda exemplifies the beauty and elegance that were imitated in pagodas built in later periods.

Haengnam Coastal Walking Path

Travelers to Ulleung-do Island make a point to visit Haengnam Coastal Walking Path as this is the trail that brings out the wonders of the island. Below the bridge that connects a cave and valley is a beautiful coastal area with a path leading to Haengnam Village. When the path meets the coast, it diverts the mountain side with a trekking course that allows one to discover the marine ecosystem and flora of Ulleung-do Island. At the end of the walking path is Haengnam Lighthouse. The nearby observatory offers wide open views of Jeodonghang Port, as well as Jeodong Village (known for its spectacular autumn colors); Chuam Cliff (known as a favorite sunrise spot); Gwaneum-do Island; Bukjeobawi Rock, and even Jukdo Island. The nearby attractions also include Dodong Mineral Spring Park, Dokdo Observatory, Ocean Cruise, Seonginbong Peak, Jukdo Namseo Sunset Observatory, and Dodonghang Port.

Sokch Seorak Sunrise Park

Sokch Seorak Sunrise Park stretches over 20,952㎡ with beautiful coastal vistas. This park has become well known for its incredible scenery of the sunrise from the East Sea. Especially, views of the sun rising between the pine trees are famous.Sokch Seorak Sunrise Park has long been called 'naemulchi,' which dates back to the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). The scholar named Song Si-yeol stopped off this area on his way to Geojedo Island for an exile and named the area 'naemulchi' as a village was sunk under water by heavy rain.Inside the park are Jamboree Memorial Tower, an outdoor theater, a tourist information center, and many great places to take a walk along the seashore. Additionally, there are around 30 pieces of sculpture lining the view the of ocean for all to enjoy.

Yongwangsan Neighborhood Park

Yongwangsan Mountain, also known as Eomjisan, is geologically located at entrance of a land referred to as “Cheonhojibeol,” located across an artificial waterfall. The mountain’s name “Yongwangsan” (meaning Dragon King Mountain) derived from an old tale of a king who dreamt of becoming killed. He then shot an arrow to an old man with spiritual powers living in a village at the foot of Eomjisan Mountain. The king stated “I knew that the old man would someday turn into a dragon and threaten my throne. Therefore I killed the dragon.” The words dragon (“yong”) and king (“wang”) were combined to form its current name, Yongwangsan Mountain.

There is a historic art gallery near the Hyundai Gallery, and the third largest lake in Korea called Daecheongho Lake. If you want to enjoy the tranquil beauty of a large lake, head over to this place. The water is very clean, and is host to many different types of fish.

Spa Plus presents a variety of jjimjilbang themed areas to enjoy along with an outdoor area where you can relax in the warm hot spring waters.First opened in December of 2002, Spa Plus is a hot springs facility located inside the Hotel Miranda, which is the largest 2nd class hotel of the Icheon area. The main spa complex is located on the 10th floor and the annex on the 3rd floor. 

Korean Tea and Sori Cultural Park

Korean Tea and Sori (traditional narrative song) Cultural Park was established in honor of Boseong's specialty drink and musical heritage. It is part of the famous Boseong green tea fields, which draw over 3 million visitors ever year. Also, the park features Korean Team Museum, and hosts a wide range of performances throughout the year at its soricheong (sori performance venue) and outdoor stage. ​
