Daegu Modern History Street is an experience trip to see the modern history that lives on in the alleyways of Daegu. Compared to other regions, Daegu suffered less damage during the Korean War, allowing the city to clearly show the changes that happened from before and after the war. The course includes locations that were important venues of historical moments from the previous generations.

Located on Sinduri Beach (Taean), Sinduri Coastal Sand Dune is the only sand dune in Korea and one of Eight Tourist Attractions in Taean. It was believed to have been formed approximately 15,000 years ago after the ice age when strong winds gradually carried sand from the sea to the current area. Sinduri Coastal Sand Dune offers unique topographies such as wind marks often seen in deserts. In addition, it is home to rich plants and animals: the largest sweetbrier habitat in Korea, rare plants (kouhoumuki, Argusia sibirica, and littoralis), and animals such as Eremias argus, Eurasian skylarks, and narrow-mouthed frogs. Sinduri Coastal Sand Dune was selected as an ecological tourist attraction by the government.

Taeanhaean National Park (태안해안국립공원) consists of about 130 islands around Anmyeondo Island (안면도) and Taean Peninsula (태안반도). Taean Peninsula (태안반도) has a picturesque landscape with beautiful beaches, rock formations, mountain peaks and sea cliffs. The Museum of Photography, Seoul is the first museum created by the Hanmi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd and is located on the 20F of the Hanmi Pharmaceutical Headquarters, overlooking the Olympic Park. The Museum of Photography, Seoul holds 6-7 planned exhibits a year and holds cultural art education projects and other activities to foster creativity and support the arts. Each year, the museum presents the Hanmi Photo Award to a photographer or a photo theorist who has exhibited remarkable passion and artistic growth through their art during the year.

Jeju Trick Eye Museum opened in January 2013 as the third in the franchise, after Hongdae and Busan. The museum offers exciting and unique paintings created with a special technique to appear 3D. Visitors can create 'new' works of art by placing themselves into the famous paintings for a fun experience and one-of-a-kind souvenir photo.

The towering Mt. Geumosan (976m in elevation) close to Gumi Station was designated as a provincial park in 1970. This precipitous mountain features various modern facilities. Daehye (Myeonggeum) Falls can be accessed via cable car. You can also find a 2km-long fortress, Yaksaam Temple, a standing Buddha statue engraved on a rock wall, Haeunsa Temple, Doseongul Cave, Daehye Falsl, and Chaemijeong Pavilion on this mountain.

Hwangji Pond is a source of the Nakdonggang River (525km), the longest river in Korea. The pond is an important joint of underground water flow through the valleys of Taebaeksan, Hambaeksan, Baekbyeongsan and Maebongsan, the mountains surrounding the city of Taebaek. There are three sections of the pond: Sangji (high pond), 100m in diameter, Jungji (middle pond), 50m in diameter and Haji (low pond), 30m in diameter. Although it is small in size, the pond supplies 5,000 tons of water a day that flows to the open Yeongnampyeongya Plain. Being located at the center of Taebaek-si, Hwangji Pond is a popular destination for the citizens of Taebaek for cultural and recreational purposes. The night view of the pond is also beautiful, which makes it a perfect place for a couple’s night out. The water is very clean and lenoks can be found here, which only live in high quality water.

The Daegwallyeong Special Tourist Zone is made up of five cities and counties in Gangwon-do, including Pyeongchang-gun, which is the host city of the 2018 Winter Olympics. Blessed with picturesque highland scenery, the Daegwallyeong Special Tourist Zone includes the cities of Gangneung-si, Donghae-si, Samcheok-si, and the counties of Hoengseong-gun and Pyeongchang-gun. Gangneung is located the nearest to Daegwallyeong. Famous attractions in Gangneung include Gyeongpoho Lake and Gyeongpodae Pavilion. Two of Gangneung’s historic villas, Ojukheon House and Seongyojang House, have been beautifully maintained for centuries. The city of Donghae’s two ports, Donghae Port and Mukho Port, are always buzzing with the energy of coastal life. Donghae Port is a base for the distribution of materials, industrial development, and trade. Cruise ferries take passengers to Russia and Japan. Meanwhile, ferries going to Ulleung-do depart from Mukho Port, which is located near Mukho Lighthouse and the Bukpyeong 5-day Market. Samcheok is a coastal city in the southernmost part of Gangwon-do. With National Road No. 7 at the center, Samcheok is bordered by Donghae to the north and Uljin-gun to the south. Hwanseongul Cave, the biggest limestone cave in Korea, and Daegeumgul Cave are some of the city’s major attractions. Hoengseong-gun is famous for its hanu (Korean beef) and the diverse agricultural experience programs the county offers. The lush forests and the road with a scenic view of Taegisan Mountain also attract many tourists. At 700 meters above sea level, Pyeongchang-gun is home to many ski resorts, making it a major destination for winter sports. Located inside The Ocean Resort in Yeosu, Jeollanam-do, this large water park can accommodate 600 people at once. It opened in July 2008 in time for the opening of the resort equipped with 128 rooms. It is the only water park in Korea that provides views of the refreshing blue waters of the Dadohaesang National Marine Park. Its indoor facilities include an artificial wave pool with slides, Para Wave Slide, Aqua Kids’ Pool, and spa. Meanwhile, the outdoor facilities include Double Tornado, slides, and wave pools. The water park is also equipped with various convenience facilities such as cafeteria, DVD room, changing rooms, swim suit shop, and more. The resort has seven floors above ground and four below with all rooms providing ocean views. The resort facilities include a wedding hall, banquet hall, and restaurants.
