Baegunsan Mountain (1,218m) is believed to hold three diving spirits: phoenix, fox, and boar. Part of the Baekdudaegan mountain range, Baegunsan borders Seomjingang River to the north and Jirisan Mountain to the south, and has four major valleys - Seongbul, Donggok, Eochi, and Geumcheon - with clear waters and lush forests. The forest in the mid-section of the mountain is home to around 900 rare plant species. In fact, Baegunsan houses the largest variety of plant species only after Hallasan Mountain.

The Baegamsan Mountains are also known as the ‘White Rock Mountains’, since their peaks are covered in white-coloured rocks. These mountains are also famous for receiving plenty of snow during the winter season. If you hike up to the mountain peak early in the morning, you may catch a glimpse of the gorgeous sunrise over the East Sea. The hiking trail starts from in front of the Baegam Hot Springs Hotel. Hikers follow the southern ridges and continue through the pine tree forests to reach the top of the mountain. From the top of the mountain, you can admire beautiful views of the East Sea and the tall mountains that stretch to the west and the north. Below the peaks are the Gomosanseong Fortress, Halmaesanseong Fortress, and Baegamsanseong Fortress. After admiring the beautiful wildlife from the peak of Baegamsan Mountain, enjoy the spas at the Baegamsan Hot Springs Resort, which is located just at the foot of the mountain.  

Located at the foot of Jongjasan Mountain in Hongcheon, Gangwon-do, Healience Zen Village is considered the Korean first wellness center, surrounded by nature. At 790 meters, Oseosan Mountain in Boryeong is one of the highest peaks on Korea’s west coast. Near the meeting point of three localities—Boryeong, Hongseong, and Cheongyang—the mountain is known for its natural beauty boasting a lush forest and pristine waters.From the top of Oseosan, visitors can see waves of silver grass and fantastic sunsets over the West Coast. The mountain is also surrounded by other equally amazing peaks: Seongjusan Mountain to the south, Gayasan Mountain to the north, and Chilgapsan and Gyeryongsan Mountains to the east. Because of its proximity to the sea, Oseosan is one of few spots in Korea where visitors can enjoy both land and water attractions.Oseosan Mountain attracts a variety of mountain hikers & climbers. Some enjoy the jagged cliffs and rock formations, others the winding paths along its ridges, and others the gradual incline leading to the peak. There are also several ancient temples and historic sites nearby such as Naewonsa and Jeongamsa Temples and Boksingul (cave formations near Ulgeum Bawi where General Boksin and his men staged the restoration of the Baekje Dynasty). 

Dangjin Marine Tourism Organization, also known as Sapgyo Hamsang Park, is a unique theme park where old battleships have been turned into experience and exhibition halls. The park is comprised of a themed exhibition hall focused on the navy and marines, the inside and outside of military ships, flights and other exciting facilities, including a 3-D video room, game center, carnival plaza, and indoor entertainment facility to help children admire and become intimate with the Navy and Marines. Also, Hamsang Cafe provides another resting area to enjoy ones visit fully.

Seosaengpo Waeseong Fortress (Seosaengpo Japanese Fortress) is a stone fortress typical of the Japanese style popular in the later part of the 16th century. It was built under the leadership of Japanese General Kato Kiyomasa in 1592-1593 at the beginning of the Imjinwaeran War (Japanese invasion, 1592-1598). The main fortress is located on a mountaintop 200 meters above sea level, a second fortress is halfway down the mountain, and a third fortress is located at the bottom of the mountain. The whole fortress is rectangular shaped. The fortress wall is 6 meters high and slants at an angle of 15 degrees. In 1594, a Buddhist monk named Samyeong-daesa came to Seosaengpo Waeseong Fortress four times to negotiate for peace, but he failed each time. In 1598, the fortress was taken over by Korea with the assistance of General Magwi of the Ming Dynasty. A year later, Changpyodang Shrine was built in honor of the 53 Koreans who died during battles against the Japanese invading forces. However, the shrine was destroyed during the Japanese imperialism period and no trace of it remains. It is possible to tell from Seosaengpo Jinseongdo (a map drawn up in 1872) that the fortress was also partially used by Korean forces.

Jangsudae (장수대) is a traditional Korean house surrounded by a pine tree forest. It was built where the waterfall stream meets the Hangyecheon Stream, and Jayangjeon was originally built here. General Oh Deuk-Jun proposed to establish this site to pray for the souls of the soldiers who died in the Korean War. The south Korean soldiers built this traditional villa and named it Jangsudae. Lee Eun-Sang (1903-1982) wrote poems of the sorrow that the war had brought while he was at this place. Across the villa is the Jangsudae ticket booth, and this is the starting point of the mountain hiking of Daeseung Falls and Daeseungryeong. Nearby Jangsudae is Daesueng Falls and Oknyeotang, which is named after the story that an angel was relaxing at the waterfall and was chased by a large centipede and had to run away to this bath. This site is a popular tourist site for the Gama-tang, Hangyesanseong Fortress, and Haneulbyeok where tourists come to relax. This villa has a capacity of 100 people, which is large for a villa in the mountains. The high peak you see over Hangyecheon Stream from Jangsudae is Mt. Garisan. It forms the mountaintop with Jugeokbong Peak and Three brother-bong peaks.
