Ganhyeon Resort is located where Seomgang River and Samsancheon River meet. Cheorwon Peace Observatory offers a panoramic view of the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone separating North and South Korea) in the central forward area of Cheorwon-gun, Gangwon-do. Mt. Biseulsan stands at the edge of Cheongdo-gun and Dalseong-gun. It is not such a high mountain, but because of its scenic beauty and clean air, it’s an easy place to want to visit again. Mt. Biseulsan has long been known as a temple place, and according to the legends it’s to produce a thousand saints from its regions. Famous monk Il-Yeon (monk scholar of the Goryeo Period) apparently spent his 20s here, training for his career as a monk. At that time Il-Yeon spent his time in the Bodangam Building learning about various faiths and their scriptures, and it became a solid basis from which to write his famous Samgukyusa, a compilation of the history of the three kingdoms). The most beautiful aspect of Mt. Biseulsan is the Azaleas that blossom in the spring. Painted crimson red, the flowers harmonize perfectly with the complementary colors of the surrounding forest. All through the year, the pine forest fills the mountain, and the broad-leaf trees come alive in the fall in all their brilliant autumn colors in perfect harmony with the fantastic looking rocks of the mountain peaks. Large areas of the ridge tops become covered with purple eulalias, and it provides a majestic view for the fall mountain climbers.

Jeju Aerospace Museum is an advanced aerospace museum which combines education and entertainment with aerospace, a future industry. Various aircrafts that embody the history of world aerospace as well as those that hold traces of Korea's air force are exhibited midair. Visitors can learn about astronomy from the ancient times to future space exploration. Also, the museum shows the 13.7 billion-year old history of the entire universe including the solar system, galaxy and large black holes. with their structures and how they were created. Visitors can touch meteorites from outer space, as well as sit in the pilot seat of an airplane and explore the future universe with advanced multimedia. The museum helps visitors gain knowledge about science technologies related to aerospace with ease through various fun activities.

Jeonju Station opened in Seonosong-dong, Jeonju-si on November 17, 1914. Jeonju Station moved to its current location in Ua-dong, Jeonju-si, on March 23, 1978, when a section of the Jeolla railway line connecting Buk-Jeonju (North Jeonju) and Sin-ri was moved to the outskirts of the city. The station building was newly-constructed at that time. Jeonju Station has grown to accommodate an average 6,000 passengers per day and is quickly becoming a hub of administration, education, culture, and transportation.

Cheongoksan Mountain (1,276m) is located to the southeast of Manggyeongdae on Taebaeksan Mountain. The hiking course goes along the ridge of the mountain from Neutjae in Socheon-myeon and winds past Hongjesa Temple, which (according to rumors) is where the great Buddhist monk Samyeong underwent spiritual training. Nearby is Baekcheon Valley, which has been designated Natural Monument No. 74, since it is the southernmost natural habitat of the cherry salmon. Also located in the vicinity are Goseon Valley (home to a huge primeval forest) and Cheongoksan Recreational Forest, which includes various leisure facilities such as a water park, work-out center, campgrounds, lodges, and more.

Situated at the basin of the ravine in Gojisan Mountain along the Geumseongsan mountain fortress and the Chuweolsan mountain range, Daenamugol (대나무골) is surrounded by tall bamboo trees. In spring, the soft green bamboo shoots blanket the whole field; it also serves as a habitat for sedentary birds to take care of their eggs. The landscaping of the Daenamugol Bamboo Park encapsulates the value of bamboo trees. You can enjoy the fresh crisp air walking in the bamboo grove and the thick pine tree forest. You can try the tea from wild bamboo tea trees grown in the bamboo forest. The park also has Green Town; it includes a playground made out of grass, a hall, an outdoor cooking facility, shower booths, sports fields (volley ball, Jokgu, table tennis, badminton). The theme park has appeared as a backdrop for movies like ‘The Last Witness,’ ‘Sword in the Moon’ as well as in the popular TV drama series ‘Hometown Legends,’ ‘Damo’ and in a number of commercials.

Jumunjin Port, one of the main fishing ports on the east coast, is home to over 350 fishing boats. The East Sea, where the warm and cold waters meet, is excellent for catching a lot of different types of fish including squid, lance fish, pollack, herring and anchovy. Fish caught in the area is often served fresh or cooked at nearby seafood restaurants.
