Myogaksa Temple is located on the east side of Mt. Naksan in Sungin-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. First established by Monk Taeheo Hongseon in May of 1930, it has since expanded and underwent two renovations. The temple’s location was selected based on the principles of Feng Shui, which dictated that a temple built in its location would bring peace and comfort to Seoul’s residents. The Myogaksa Temple complex on Mt. Naksan accommodates a Deabul (Grand Buddha) Shrine, a Wontong Buddhist shrine, a Nakga preaching hall, Seokgulam Grotto, Sanshingak (Mountain Spirit Pavilion), and the Mae Buddha Statue. Deabul and Wontong shrines are two of the finest Buddhist architectural masterpieces. The Buddha statue, located inside the Seokgulam Grotto, was built around the ninth or early tenth century and has been designated a national cultural treasure. The Mae Buddha Statue, also located in this temple, was carved out of the rocky cliffs of Mt. Naksan and has been designated a cultural asset of the City of Seoul.Since the 2002 FIFA World Cup when Myogaksa began operating its temple stay program, the temple has become a wonderful place where locals and tourists can escape the daily hustle-and-bustle of Seoul to experience the serenity of Buddhism. 

Located in Bongseong-ri, Aewol-eup, Saebyeol Oreum (also called Hyoseongak) is a parasitic volcano located almost 520 meters above sea level. It is a famous oreum, which means 'mountain in the Jeju dialect, and hosts the Jeju Jeongwol Daeboreum Fire Festival every year, marking the first full moon day of the lunar calendar. During the festival, the pampas grass covering the oreum is lit and the entire oreum becomes engulfed in flames. The mountain is renowned for it’s elegant curves, connecting ridges as well as being one of the best spots to overlook the nearby landscape.While thickets blanket the North Slope, the rest of the mountain is a meadow. Burial mounds can be seen on the northwest, southwest and the southern outskirts of the mountain. The name is related to Saebyeol Oreum the lonely morning star rising first in the night sky. Opened in March 2003, the Fine Art Gallery Art Link is a gallery that displays art pieces while creating an opportunity for patrons to meet the art and artists. Ever since the introduction of high-speed railroads, Yongsan Station has been a primary station for trains heading towards Honam, Janghyang, and Jeolla-do. The station is also the first and final stop for several express trains. The privately-owned station has gone through various renovations to update facilities and now stands proudly as the largest railroad and subway station in Korea. A department store, an electronics market, and the I'Park Mall are situated nearby, making Yongsan Station a gathering spot for the younger crowds.

Located 1 km away from Gyeongpodae, Gyeongpo Beach is a sand bank formed between Gyeongpo Lake and the ocean. This beautiful beach extends to a length of 6 km and is covered with fine sand. It is a very well-known tourist attraction within Korea: a flawless combination of nature and cultural relics.Gyeongpo Beach is famous for its picturesque sunrise and tranquil moonrise. There are other nearby attractions in the area, like the pine forest (4 km) and wild roses, which grow in various areas around the beach. Those who enjoy ocean fishing can take a boat to the mall rocks just off the beach. Sanjeong Lake is one of the main attractions in Pocheon and is situated down in the valleys between Myeongseongsan Mountain, Mangbongsan Mountain, and Mangmubong Peak.Meaning “lake as clear as a mountain well,” Sanjeong Lake was built as a reservoir to supply water to farmlands in 1925. Thanks to its surrounding attractions, the lake brings many visitors each year. Promenades along the lake are popular for couples as well as tourists who stay in the nearby hotels. Beautiful fog often rises from the lake in spring and fall, making boating at night quite picturesque.Hikers frequent Myeongseongsan in spring and fall. Visitors love skating on the lake in winter. The lake is also surrounded by an amusement park, swimming pools, sledding facilities, and spa amenities, attracting many family visitors. Local restaurants are renowned for their delicious, wholesome food made using freshwater snails and mushrooms. Other local favorites include maeun-tang (spicy fish stew), dotori-muk (acorn jelly), sanchae baekban (a bowl of rice served with wild herbs and vegetables), and deodeok-gui (a grilled dish made from Codonopsis lanceolata root).

The Cheonggyecheon Museum officially opened on September 26, 2005. The museum’s long, glass exterior represents the flowing waters of Cheonggyecheon Stream, which run through the heart of Seoul. The museum has a permanent exhibition hall, special exhibition hall, educational hall, and an auditorium.The permanent exhibition hall contains visual representations of Seoul before and after the transition of Cheonggyecheon Stream. The special exhibition hall holds exhibitions on diverse themes not only related to Cheonggyecheon Stream, but also to the diverse cultural aspects of the city and the nation. In addition, the museum offers a variety of cultural performances and hands-on learning programs for children.
