Yeomiji Botanical Garden
Jeju-do(Seogwipo-si) , Jungmun Resort

Located within Jungmun Resort, Yeomiji Botanical Garden (여미지식물원) is the best botanical garden in Asia with a unique southern atmosphere. The indoor garden contains approximately 2,000 rare tropical and subtropical plants throughout the Flower Garden, Water Lily Garden, Jungle Garden, Subtropical Fruits Garden, Cactus and Succulent Garden, and Observation Platform. The outdoor garden offers Jeju Native Garden, as well as Korean, Japanese, Italian and French folk gardens. The tour train accommodating 60 persons travels between Indoor and Outdoor Garden. The Jungmun Tourist Complex, Cheonjeyeon Falls, as well as a clear view of Mt. Hallasan, and the nearby coast and Marado Island can all be observed from the thirty-eight meter high observation platform.

Suseong Artpia
Daegu(Suseong-gu)

Opened in May 2007, Suseong Artpia is a major art center in Daegu. It has specialized, independent spaces for housing performances, exhibitions, and art camps. The art center’s facade was designed to resemble a crane flying away with its wings stretched out in order promote the image of Muhaksan Mountain (named as such because its shape is reminiscent of a flying crane or hak), the mountain on which the center is located. When viewed from the sides however, the center is shaped like a ship, as it was once the site of a large pond. With such an impressive exterior further highlighted by impressive lighting at night, water fountains, and landscaping, Suseong Artpia has become a rising attraction of Daegu. The center is equipped with a mega concert hall that can accommodate diverse genres of performing arts such as an opera, musical, ballet, theater, dance, music concert, and more.

Eagle Valley Ski Resort
Chungcheongbuk-do(Chungju-si)

Eagle Valley Ski Resort (Formerly Sajo Resort) at the top of Suanbo’s Hwangsan Valley was the only combined hot springs and ski resort until construction of other hot springs/ski resorts in 1995. The resort prides itself in making safety a priority and has ski officials (who have health and safety certification) patrolling the slopes. Other major draws of the resorts are its famed hot springs and its convenient location. The resort is easily accessible from Seoul and other major cities, and is located nearby a variety of popular tourist attractions.The Eagle Valley Ski Resort runs a shuttle bus service, however, the operating schedule varies by season. Hyeonchungsa Shrine
Chungcheongnam-do(Asan-si)

Hyeonchungsa Shrine, located in Asan-si, is the shrine of General Lee Sun-Shin (1545-1598). It was built in 1706, and named Hyeonchungsa Shrine the following year. In 1932 during the Japanese occupation, a treasure preservation committee was formed to protect the shrine. Afterward, the shrine was rebuilt by the government, its area greatly enlarged, and was further developed into a sacred place.The shrine contains Sipkyeongdo, a pictorial biography of general Lee Sun-Shin’s portrait and his life story. Nanjung Diary, designated National Treasure No. 76, his Long Sword, Treasure No. 326, and other treasures are displayed within the shrine as well, together with the old house he lived in, the arrow shooting range, and Geobuksun (turtle ship). When you enter the of Hyeonchungsa Shrine, Chungmu gate, you will see another gate called Hongsal Gate. Go past Hongsal Gate and you can see Lee Sun-Shin’s portrait, which was made with Korean Cheonggiwa tiles and iron-reinforced concrete. Inside the Gotaek Building is the Chungmujeong House, where Lee Sun-Shin spent his life until he was a young man. The newly added pond, Yeonji Pond, in Hyeonchungsa Shrine is also worth exploring.

Ganghwa History Museum

Ganghwa History Museum opened in 2010, and is located inside Ganghwa Dolmen Park, which was designated as UNESCO World Heritage Historic Site No. 137.The museum aims to exhibit, preserve and educate about the history and culture of Ganghwa from prehistoric ages to modern times based on artifacts from the area.

Geumgang Park

Located at the foot of Mt. Geumjeong (alt. 802 m), Geumgang Park stretches over a 3 million-square meter plot of land filled with lush forest and craggy cliffs and broken up by winding creeks. Regardless of the time of the year, a constant stream of people come to visit the many historical and cultural sites in the region, which once served as a base of operations for the government during the Joseon Dynasty.The area was referred to as Geumgangwon before becoming a park in June, 1973. On July 1st, 2004, the park once again made the news, as the entrance fee was abolished and the park was made free to the public.In addition to more typical sports facilities like badminton courts, the park also boasts carnival rides such as cable cars, bumper cars, and more. Visitors are also encouraged to stop by tourist sites such as the Busan Folk Tradition Arts Center, the Busan Marine Natural History Museum, and the Busan Botanical Garden.

Sarabong Peak
Jeju-do(Jeju-si) , Former Jeju

Situated to the east of Jeju Port, Sarabong is a main Oreum (Jeju dialect for “a small volcanic mountain”) that separates Jeju City from the sea. From the top of Sarabong, visitors can see the ocean to the north and magnificent Hallasan Mountain to the south. Time your hike to reach the top in the late afternoon to catch the reddish glow of the sunset glittering off the ocean.Resembling a horseshoe and adorned with lush nut pine trees, Sarabong is a parasitic volcano with numerous scoria (macrovesicular volcanic rocks). Nearby Sarabong Park has numerous fitness facilities and is a favorite among visitors who enjoy taking walks. At the peak of Sarabong is Mangyangjeong Pavilion. Designated as Jeju Monument No.23, Bongsudae (a fire signal site that was once used to send warnings to other areas) is located in the north of Sarabong and has been preserved in its original form; to the north of Bongsudae is Sarasa Temple (aka Taegojong) overlooking the sea. The manned lighthouse Sanji, the first of its kind on Jeju Island, sits on the cliff near Sarasa Temple.

Named to reflect the concept “first and foremost,” High1 is a multi-cultural leisure resort consisting of High1 Resort, Gangwon Land Convention Hotel, Gangwon Land Casino, Gangwon Land Hotel, High1 Ski, High1 C.C, High1 Hotel, Valley Condominium, and Mountain Condominium. The ski resort, one of the most popular parts of the High1 complex, offers a 4.2-kilometer-long slope for beginners that runs from the summit of Mount Jijangsan (alt. 1,345m). The ski resort has a total of 18 slopes, 3 gondolas, and 7 lifts. The two hotels and three condominiums at High1 house a total of 1,577 rooms. Frequented by both Korean and non-Korean travelers, High1 also boasts an 18-hole golf course and Unamjeong, a traditional Korean restaurant. Nearby tourist sites include Jeongseon Rail Bike, Ararichon, Auraji, Mount Gariwangsan Natural Forest, Jeongseon 5-day Market, Mount Mindungsan, Donggang River, Jeongseon Sogeumgang River, and Hwaam Cave.
