Dongdaegu Station
Daegu(Dong-gu)

Dongdaegu Station opened on June 10th, 1969. With the introduction of Korea Trail Express (KTX) in 2004, the station expanded to become what it is today. As the largest train station in Daegu, Dongdaegu Station has the second highest number of passengers in Korea after Seoul Station. It is also one of the busiest stations, as almost all Gyeongbu line (Seoul-Busan) KTX trains as well as Saemaul, Mugunhwa and general trains bound for Gyeongju stop at the station.Dongdaegu Station is expected to become a powerful transportation hub and transit center when its expansion construction finishes in 2012, and then connects to the Express Bus Terminal and Dongdaegu Subway Station in 2013.

S.J. Cho Korean Paper Art Gallery
Seoul(Gangnam-gu)

S.J. Cho Korean Paper Art Gallery is dedicated to hanji (traditional Korean paper) art and opened in July of 2011. Hanji art uses an array of colorful hanji paper to create an image that is similar to a painting, but without the paints and brushes. Paper can be torn, folded, or crumpled into different shapes to create a unique work of art. S.J. Cho Korean Paper Art is the center of the Korean Hanji Art Organization, which has helped popularize hanji art over the past 30 years. Visitors can browse through hanji art at the gallery, enjoy traditional tea at the café, or look out at Bukhansan Mountain on the rooftop. The Experience Hall is located in the basement, where visitors can learn more about hanji art, or even try their hand at making their own.

Insa-dong PR Center

Insa-dong PR Center opened in 2006 with the goal of providing accessible education for both domestic and international visitors to understand Korean tradition and history. It was built as a private residence for Prince Uichin (1877-1955), one of the sons of Emperor Gojong (1852-1919).It also introduces the tradition and culture of Insa-dong, and provides tour pamphlets and tourist assistance in multiple languages (English, Japanese and Chinese). Visitors can try the traditional costumes and enjoy Wi-Fi within the facility.

Gyeongju Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond
Gyeongsangbuk-do(Gyeongju-si)

According to the historical records of Samguk-sagi, Wolji Pond was built during the 14th year of King Munmu (r. 661-681 AD) of the Silla Kingdom (57 BC-935 AD). Small mountains were created inside the palace walls, beautiful flowers were planted, and rare animals were brought in to create an exquisitely exotic garden fit for royalty. The pond was originally built in Wolseung Fortress (built in 101 AD during the Silla period), but the fortress was destroyed and now lies in ruins.In 1974, an excavation project revealed large spherical shapes (measuring 200 meters in diameter and 180 meters in x_height) which indicated that 3 islands had been located in the pond. Thanks to these important findings and existing historical records, Wolji Pond has been restored to nearly its former glory.ImhaejeonjiAs one of the detached palaces of the Silla royal family’s main palace, this structure was used as the crown prince’s palace. Imhaejeon is historically the most important building on the property and records often refer to the whole area as ‘Imhaejin.’An excavation resulted in the discovery of several buildings: Hoerang (corridor area) and five towers in the western part of the area. Some sites have been restored while others have been left in their natural state with only the cornerstones poking out from beneath the ground.

Bukchon Heritage Studio

Bukchon Heritage Studio is a hands-on culture space where visitors can experience traditional Korean cultural heritages. It is located in a large Korean-style house at the entrance of Bukchon Hanok Village. The studio provides various things to see and enjoy in which the traditional and the new are harmoniously mixed. Exhibitions display artwork created by intangible cultural assets and great masters.  The exhibitions also present Korean traditions from ancient art to modern art and how the process has developed.  Also, chances to see the production process of Seoul’s traditional folk alcoholic beverage "samhaeju" and sample it are offered. National Theater of Korea

Hyundai Motors Ulsan Plant

As Hyundai Motor’s main production facility, the Ulsan Plant is comprised of five independent plant facilities on a land spanning 5,000,000 square meters. The plant is the world’s largest single automobile plant and employs over 34,000 personnel to produce an average of 5,600 vehicles a day. The plant has its own port, where up to three 50,000-ton vessels can anchor simultaneously. It has its own fire station, hospital, and patrol cars, all within the compound. Hyundai Motors Ulsan Plant is nestled among 580,000 trees and equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to preserve the environment, such as a waste water disposal plant. The plant tour offers a great opportunity for visitors to experience the manufacturing process of Hyundai Motors, which is emerging as a global car brand. Tour reservations can be made at the company website for groups of over 30 people.
