▶ One in every 10 foreign tourists visiting Seoul has visited Lotte World—this MOU will further strengthen the global tourism network

Lotte World is taking proactive steps to boost foreign tourist visits in Korea by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Incheon Tourism Organization. On Friday, the 7th, the two parties signed the “MOU to Activate the Attraction of Foreign Tourists through the Linkage of Major Venues” at the Sangsang Platform in Jung-gu, Incheon. The event was attended by Lotte World CEO Kwon Oh-sang, Incheon Tourism Organization President Baek Hyun, and other officials from both organizations.

The agreement aims to promote Korea as a destination for foreign tourists by linking the Incheon Tourism Organization’s flagship multi-cultural facility, the Sangsang Platform, with Lotte World’s three Seoul attractions (Adventure, Aquarium, and Seoul Sky).

Under the terms of the agreement, the organizations will collaborate on the following initiatives:
▲ Developing and promoting tourism packages for both group and individual travelers that combine access to Lotte World’s three Seoul attractions with the Sangsang Platform;
▲ Implementing joint online and offline marketing and promotional campaigns;
▲ Operating a dedicated FIT shuttle bus service for foreign tourists—which will connect Incheon Airport to key attractions in Incheon’s downtown and historic areas before reaching Lotte World’s three Seoul attractions (scheduled to launch in the second half of 2025).

Last year, foreign visitors to Lotte World’s three Seoul attractions accounted for 10% of the approximately 12 million foreign tourists who visited Seoul—meaning one in every 10 foreign tourists in the city visited Lotte World. Additionally, Lotte World Adventure and Seoul Sky were recently recognized for their significance when they were selected as two of the nine representative tourist attractions in Seoul on the 2025–2026 Korea Tourism 100 list by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization, alongside major landmarks such as the five grand palaces and Hangang Park.

Lotte World CEO Kwon Oh-sang stated, “We are honored to contribute to the growth of foreign tourism through our partnership with the Incheon Tourism Organization. Moving forward, Lotte World will continue to provide exceptional experiences for foreign tourists and lead the development of Korea’s tourism industry.”
