Introduced since 2006, the annual 'Seoul Drama Awards' is hosted to connect a variety of countries and encourage them to share their finest drama productions for all drama fans in the world to enjoy. By cultivating hallyu, Seoul tourism and developing a healthy national cultural festival, the festival ultimately hopes to promote and create a harmonious relation in the drama industry.  


Seoul(Guro-gu)

The Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization are sponsoring the 2018 PyeongChang K-pop Festival for foreigners at Seoul Gocheok Sky Dome on the evening of September 8. The line-up will include hallyu stars like SHINEE, BEAST, Wonder Girls, Boys Republic and more. Other activities of the festival include a special stage, hallyu drama experience booth, photo wall, gift event and more. Introduction  The Supia Ttukseom year-round family theme park holds the ‘Snow Flower Village’ program every winter. The three major themed activities include: Fun Play Park, Ice Hill, and the Fun Snow Hill. Chung Young Yang Embroidery Museum was founded in May 2004 to enhance public awareness and appreciation of embroidery art with ample facilities including exhibition hall, library, conservation center, learning center, embroidery study room, education and research rooms. The museum emphasizes on the variety of textiles and embroidery and also features collections from various Northeast Asian countries. The Chung Young Yang Embroidery Museum stresses the importance of embroidery as an evolving form of art through changes in technology, social and cultural environment. In addition, the learning center also aims to become a learning center for scholarship in embroidery and other textile arts that can be appreciated by a wide audience.


Seoul(Gangnam-gu)

Since February 2016, Kkukkiwon and Gangnam-gu Office have collaborated to present the 'Great Taekkwondo' performance for tourists visiting Kukkiwon. Visitors may watch impressive skills of taekwondo, one of a unique and representative acts that showcases the gist of Korean tourism. Besides, Kukkiwon has also plans to introduce a variety of fun and memorable taekwondo-related programs to both international visitors and children in Korea, in hope to increase awareness of Korea's indigenous cultural property to the world.

Namsangol Hanok Village, located in Jung-gu, Seoul, holds the Five Nobleman’s Seollal Feast to greet the New Year. Various events to enjoy the New Year have been prepared.

Namdaemun Market Bondong Clothing Shopping Center maintains the traditional market atmosphere unique in Korea. It is home to a slew of restaurants (selling such dishes as hairtails boiled in seasonings), butcher's shops, and shops selling food items. Jungangro, in particular, houses many shops specializing in traditional Korean food items (gim, ginseng, and so on), attracting international tourists in general and Japanese tourists in particular. The western side of Bondong Clothing Center is populated by shops selling stationery, art materials, and small electronics.

Located in Jung-gu, Seoul, Namsangol Hanok Village will be hosting the 'Moonlight Fire Show, Daeboreum' event on February 22, 2016 from 17:00 to 19:00. Burning daljip, cracking bureom, and other seasonal customs related to Jeongwol Daeboreom will be offered for participants to enjoy.
