Chungcheongbuk-do(Goesan-gun)

Seonyudong Gyegok Valley is located in Goesan-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do Province. Includes Seonyudongmun, the playground for the mountain gods, a total of nine valleys forms the area: Gyeongcheonbyeok, Haksoam , Yeondallo, Waryongpok, Nangadae, Gigugam, Guam, and Eunseonam.Seonnyudongmun Gyegok Valley is famous for the legend that mountain gods came to savor fresh mountain spring water. A renowned geographical account, Taekriji, published in 1751, stated that Seonyudong Gyegok Valley boasted some of the best scenery. One of the most eminent Confucian scholars of the Joseon Dynasty, Lee Hwang spent nine months in this beautiful valley. He gave names to all his favorite places, which still remain to this day. 


Gangwon-do(Gangneung-si)

It is a place where you can enjoy food made with fresh live fish. The best menu at this restaurant is cold raw fish soup. This Japanese (cuisine) restaurant is located in Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do.

“Cook´n Heim” is a fancy restaurant where a traditional Korean-style house, beautiful garden, and a small gallery harmoniously come together. The main menu specialties are Hamburg Steak, and pasta. For Hamburg Steak, the beef is chopped and mixed without any chemical seasoning. Bread is homemade where the dough is kneaded and baked. Cook’n Heim serves no junk food, only well-being food. “Cook´n Heim’s Hamburg Steak” with mushroom cream sauce and pineapple slices as well as the “Herb Hamburg Steak” with rosemary are the most popular dishes. Pasta with cream sauce or tomato sauce and salad are also popular. The restaurant creates its own small cultural art gallery. Art pieces on exhibit are updated weekly, and visitors can enjoy the free exhibition while they are dining. When the sun sets, a movie is shown on the screen which has been installed on a wall in the garden. In the summer, it is wonderful to have dinner outside while watching a movie. Gyeongsangbuk-do(Yeongcheon-si)

Incheon(Seo-gu)

Dubbed as the “palace of the Jade Emperor,” Jamigung is a “hanok” homestay located in Wondang-dong, Incheon. The earthly, wooden building was finished with the master touches of the Daemokjang (master of traditional carpentry) and built with wood that is dried and carved for a year and six months, while the interior was constructed with bamboo trees from Damyang and Korean paper. Likewise, its fence was finished with a masterful touch, topped with roof tiles sourced from Goryeong, which are also used to restore cultural properties in Korea. There are 6 rooms in total, including Gaon, Mireu, Raon, Dasom, and Hanul, varying in size ranging from a capacity of double occupancy to 15 people. All rooms are furnished with an antique, classical interior consisting of traditional doors with “changhoji” paper, traditional furniture, celadon, and paintings. Earthenware pots lining the courtyard, the vegetable garden, and the trees and wildflowers of the season complete the aesthetic of the hanok. Facilities within the complex include a shared bathroom, seminar room, shared PC, and communal refrigerator. The guesthouse offers English and Chinese services and provides complimentary breakfast in the morning. For pets, the guesthouse only alall dogs on the premises.
