Founded in 2004, Hallym University of Graduate Studies offers 11 graduate majors across four academic departments (International Studies, Convention & Event Management, Audiology, and U.S. Law). The Convention & Event Management and Audiology departments are the first to be introduced in Korea, while the U.S. Law program qualifies students to take the U.S. bar exam, which is required to practice law in that system. Anyone with a degree from a four-year university is eligible to apply to any of the programs.

Silleuksa Temple - Yeoju
Gyeonggi-do(Yeoju-si) , Yeoju

Silleuksa is located along a riverside village overlooking blue water and a spacious sand beach on the edge of the river running south, running from Mt. Bongmi to the Yeo River. It is said that Silleuksa was built by Monk Wonhyo during the reign of King Jinpyeong in the Silla Period, but it is not for sure. Silleuksa Temple’s name was said to originate from a legend that an uncontrollably swift horse was reined up by the power of god. Inside the temple is Josadang, the temple’s oldest building; Dancheungjeon-tab, a tower made of mud bricks; Daejanggakgibi; Bumjonggak; and at the heart of the temple stands Geuknakjun Hall (Hall of Paradise). Gangwolhun, located along the riverbank’s cliff, is Silleuksa Temple’s, one of the most popular sights for couples, where tourists can view the Han River in the south and its surrounding scenery.

Gangjin Tamjin Celadon
Jeollanam-do(Gangjin-gun)

Gangjin Tamjin Celadon is the gallery of Mr. Kim Gyeong Jin, Gangjin Celadon Master No. 1, and Jeollanam-do Master Craft Artisan No. 3, also serving as a celadon retail shop. Master Kim Gyeong Jin had been taught by Master Jo Gi Jeong, Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 5 with celadon skill. Tamjin is a former name of Gangjin, home to Gorye Celadon. Cheongjachon, Daegumyeon where the retail shop is located, is also the venue of Gangjin Celadon Festival every year. Gangjin Tamjin Celadon is an eco-friendly pottery emitting far infrared ray and anion, and has been selected as an excellent craft product by the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports. The retail shop is filled with celadons in jade color. Celadon with different patterns such as celadon tableware, teaware in lotus leaf shape, celadon coffee grinder, and dripper, coffee cup, etc. are on sale. At the back of the shop is a traditional kiln still heating porcelain. There is also a site for up to 70 people to experience celadon making activity including pattern carving and wheel shaping. Goryeo Celadon Museum, located just opposite the shop, displays the 500-year history of the celadon; Korean Minhwa Museum, on the other hand, is another spot worth visiting.

Yongdusan Jagalchi Special Tourist Zone
Busan(Jung-gu)

Yongdusan Jagalchi Special Tourist Zone covers the area around Gwangbok-dong in Busan, which includes Yongdusan Park and the well-known traditional markets such as Jagalchi Market, Gukje Market and Bupyeong Market, which are filled with life and energy. Gwangbok-dong area is always crowded with young tourists as well as young locals enjoying the vibrant shopping street and affordable street food. At Yongdusan Park, visitors can enjoy a panoramic sight of Busan, and the night view from the park should not be missed. There is an escalator to take visitors up to Yongdusan Park. Jagalchi Market and Gukje Market retain some traces of what Busan used to be like in the 1970s and 1980s, and that is why these markets are popular among the middle-aged as well as young people. There are a lot of marine products and food to eat. In particular, Gomjangeo (inshore hagfish) street in Jagalchi Market is well known, along with the restaurants that serve the grilled fish at affordable prices. The Busan International Film Festival and the Busan Jagalchi Festival take place in the autumn. There are dozens of secondhand bookstores in Bosu-dong Book Alley where people can freely purchase, sell, read or browse secondhand books. Apart from Jagalchi Market and Film Street, the area around Nampo-dong, together with Haeundae Special Tourist Zone, is famous for holding the Busan International Film Festival. On the Food Street, which spans from Film Street to Gukje Market via Arirang Street, are street vendors selling food such as ssiat hotteok (seed-stuffed Korean-style pancake), bibim dangmyeon (spicy sweet potato noodles) and patbingsu (shaved ice with sweetened red beans). There are also restaurants serving jokbal (steamed pig trotters,) dwaejigalbi (grilled spareribs) and gopchang (grilled beef or pork intestine). It is the perfect place for visitors to enjoy unique Korean food. Naro Space Center, Space Science Museum (나로우주센터 우주과학관)

Naro Space Center (나로우주센터) – Korea’s first – is a launching pad for various space projectiles, including the rocket-launching of satellites. A ceremony was held upon the completion of the Center on June 11, 2009, making Korea the 13th country in the world to have a space center. Naro Space Center mounts exhibitions and educates about space science technology. There is a Space Science Museum consisting of science exhibits, a 4D experience room (to be built) and an outdoor exhibition where students and children can learn about and experience space science technology.

Chuncheon International Taekwondo Championships

As the master country of Taekwondo, Chuncheon Open International Taekwondo Championships provide the opportunity for Taekwondo artists from all over the world to demonstrate their Taekwondo skills. The championships are held every other year.Description: The championships are categorized into three divisions: Gyeorugi, Gyeongyeon, and Color Belts Gyeorugi. The Gyeorugi Division has the most contestants, and is sectioned into male/female, junior/senior, and children. The Color Belts Gyeorugi Division is open to only foreign contestants over the age of 14 years.The Gyeongyeon Division includes Sonnal Gyeokpa which uses only a single hand-surface, the Jumeok which uses the fists, and the Jonghap Gyeokpa. Also in the Gyeongyeon Division are the Creative Pumsae, which uses the basic elements of Taekwondo, Taekwondo Gymnastics and Hosinsul.Other related events also scheduled are the Taekwondo Demonstration, Sports Dance, Street Demonstrations, and more.Championships Highlights: The festival is an international festival with its an overriding Taekwondo theme, now an official Olympic Sport and Korea’s native martial arts. The festival consists of welcoming, opening and closing ceremonies, and of course the championships themselves. The most attractive feature about this festival is that Taekwondo fans can see the world’s leading Taekwondo artists up-close.The host city of Chuncheon is also surrounded by many major tourist attractions such as Namiseom Island and Cheongpyeongsa Temple, which visitors can enjoy along with the festival.
